This is a very good hotel. The service is very good, the food is good, the rooms are comfortable, clean and have all the amenities. However, they need to have more sockets and power outlets, such as usb to update to todays world of tech. Some sockets didn’t work and placed at floor level. The bedside sockets were for the lamps and difficult to access. It’s all quite dated, but that provides the charm and style which is lacking in other newer and more tech friendly hotels. The power points are an issues, but it’s better to suffer that than lack of substance, comfort and style.
A maior issue and not to do with the hotel is the lack of considerably the local ‘Cascais Council’ who obviously don’t care about tourism - a skateboard championship was taking place in the casino gardens and music!! at one of the beach bars with extremely loud sound systems, which made it unbearable to sit by the pool without earphones or sleep with windows open. Shame on the local council - I’ve complained but no response and that’s no surprise ! !!
We’ve stayed countless times and will go back soon, but may be not in high season.
