Very friendly, amenable staff. Nice breakfast area with table service. A few more vegetarian options would've been appreciated but admittedly I didn't make a special request for any. You could make tea in your room with a jug of hot water from reception but a kettle in the room would've been more convenient. These are small gripes but overall I would recommend this hotel and stay again.

Amazing location
Hotel is in the center of the city . Everything walkable and free parking outside the hotel . Breakfast is real good one can order from the menu. Staff is very friendly and English can conversant .

We found this charming hotel to be very comfortable, with good sized rooms and lovely views. The staff were outstanding, the included breakfast both plentiful and delicious, and the location was fabulous for exploring Lisbon.

This hotel has a lot of charm and its location is fabulous for seeing Lisbon. The rooms are very comfortable and some of them have spectacular views.

Struttura vecchia le 4* credo siano un vecchio ricordo di tempi andati, le camere sono vecchie e consunte, ho preso una quadrupla ed il 4° letto era una branda piazzata in una camera nello spazio ricavato accatastando divano, tavolinetto e poltrone.... il servizio parcheggio sono 3 posti in strada riservati per tutti gli ospiti...sconsigliato

We really loved our stay at Principe Real. They were incredibly helpful and our room was uber-cool. Ask for Room 502 when you book, if it is available. Only good things to say. Opt in for the breakfast. 5 stars!

The neighborhood is dirty and I felt insecure, it says it's four stars but it doesn't even have a hair dryer in the bathroom. The breakfasts don't have many options and are regular. That hotel is never a four star in my experience probably 21/2.

È la prima volta che mi capita di trovare una struttura così deludente. Non mi è mai successo di trovare: 1) la biancheria sporca nel letto il giorno del nostro arrivo 2) di non avere lenzuola a 2 piazze nel letto matrimoniale, ma solo un lenzuolo singolo che lasciava scoperto il materasso a sua volta privo di coprimaterasso 3) la biancheria del bagno insufficiente (eravamo in 3 persone, non c'erano asciugamani per tutte) 4)le tende della camera erano tutte strappate, anzi soprannominate 'il buco con la tenda intorno'. Alle nostre rimostranze, le risposte sono state: a) la cameriera è nuova b) la lavanderia non ha consegnato le lenzuola c) non abbiamo più lenzuola, le dobbiamo comperare (ricordo che parliamo di un hotel 4 stelle!) Solo al terzo giorno, quando i nostri toni si sono fatti 'più coloriti' - improvvisamente hanno capito anche l'italiano! - incredibilmente sono comparse lenzuola e biancheria da bagno. Praticamente prese in giro. Una nota positiva dell'hotel: la prima colazione era buona e varia ed il personale di sala era gentile.

Good location. Close enough to Chiado, but not busy and crowded. No kettle or coffee maker in the room like in many other Portugal hotels.

Hotel staff was the best. They were able organize tours and give us proper directions to get around. Breakfast was simple and nice, and was between 8.00 to 11.00am. This late breakfast suited us well. Close to popular squares and bus stops. Room was good and had a very nice bathroom.

Nuno in guest services was excellent! Very professional, nice, and helpful. Our room was small, but the only real complaint is that the walls are paper-thin and there was noise pretty much all night.

I have reserved a room, confermed by hotels.com but once there, the hotel was closed. Nobody on a reception. I was calling them being just in front of the entrance. Nobody replied. I was forced to reserve another hotel the the Christmas night. Unprofessional!

You can do better than here
Let's start with the slightly shallow side of this review. The room decor looked like someone was in the middle of switching to a modern design and just stopped. It was disjointed and kind of ugly. I know this is subjective so moving on. More important the room itself seemed like it was in the middle of being renovated and shouldn't have been booked. There were light switches that didn't do anything, and lights that didn't work at all. What did work was oddly connected with too many lights tied to 1 switch. The floors looked dirty/stained, and there was what looked like a footprint on the wall. See also what looked like a bad patch job on the wall near the bedside table. The mattress was terribly uncomfortable, as in I could feel springs. There was also some strange mildewy smell coming from behind the headboard. There was a chair that was too short for the desk it was used for...in short it was awful. I did not complain because I was exhausted, didn't feel well, and it was one night. Unless something changes, I can't in good conscience suggest staying here.

Non è di sicuro un 4 stelle come lo intendiamo noi , il personale è gentile , la colazione ottima ma la condizione delle stanze non è a livello , la mobilia è vecchia e non in ottime condizioni e le pareti della stanza necessitavano di un serio restauro . La pulizia è sufficiente. Nel complesso è economico e in una buona posizione per quanto riguarda i mezzi ! Il nostro soggiorno nel complesso si è rivelato buono.

Mycket bra frukost. Mindre bra logistik då det var många som åt samtidigt. Bra hjälp med incheckning till flyget vid avresa. Rummet ej klart vid ankomst vid incheckningstidens början kl 14.00. Byte av handdukar mindre bra. Första dagen böts dom ej trots att handdukarna lagts på golvet enligt anvisning i badrummet, Blöta använda handdukar skulle bytas hängdes upp igen. Övriga dagar fick vi 2 badlakan men bara en liten handduk på 2 personer.
