The hotel’s rooms we disgusting, had to get moved room due to the ceiling hanging down, and the dirt in the bedsheets, also the safe did not work, the second room was not much better, the toilet did not flush. The staff were excellent and the Spa was brilliant and clean but humans should not be allowed to stay in room 118 or 120

Booked because I had heard this hotel was recently renovated and highly reviewed. I had booked a six night stay. During this time I have found most light sources in the room do not work, room phone doesn’t work, key cards are cheap and constantly becoming unlinked, locking me out. my room had never been serviced at any point during my stay, half toilet rolls given and having to walk down to request them from front lobby. I am currently on night five and going to be requesting an early check out, I am highly disappointed, I feel like my partner and I got neglected and frankly had a one star experience in this “Four star” hotel. I’ve had motels with better accommodations, which were half the price. Never coming back.

Avoid at all cost, to didn’t work, lamp didn’t work, 1/4 roll of toilet paper, 1/4 box of tissues, toilet wouldn’t flush properly, I informed them 4 times still wouldn’t flush, shower gel bottle was empty. That basically sums it all up. AVOID

Stayed for a night with my 21 year old son. Nothing to complain about, though - comfortable bed, good sized bedroom with additional room with settee and desk etc. Staff were absolutely fine, breakfast was OK. Plenty parking too.

Chosen for Spa etc but closed with no notice. Asked for disability room which was given with no means of getting there as lift broken so no access. Put my mum in normal room but no facilities for her. Showers were broken in all 3 rooms and dangerous as water too hot with no signs. Overall bathrooms grubby with hairs and could do with a bit of bleach! Beds comfortable but pillows were like bricks. Breakfast adequate service at dinner painful. Would not stay again

Hotel was goed, grote stad n eenvoudige kamer. Niks luxe maar het is goed voor een nachtje. Ik had per ongeluk het hotel in de buitenwijk geboekt ipv die in het centrum. Was onhandig omdat je overal een taxi nodig had. Eigen schuld. Met eigen auto is het wel ideaal.

Don’t stay at this hotel.
Extremely disappointed with this hotel and stay. Overpriced and in poor condition. Should have just stayed in the Holiday Inn Express opposite. No gym or pool open and the hotel rooms were freezing cold. My expectations were not met in the slightest. All in all a very poor hotel.

Overall stay
Really pleased with our stay, room was comfortable, clean and really nice, only downside was the ceiling in the bathroom was damaged which we notified reception of. Evening meal was really good reasonable prices, breakfast was ok, very minimal choice but was ok for us Still one of the best hotels we've stayed in and we will be visiting again

The spa facilities was not open due to refurbishment this was the reason we choose this hotel we was not told prior to booking or at anytime after booking that the facilities was minimal

Only the Suites part of the hotel open, spa closed. Dining room in a function room, limited menu and small portions.

We were disappointed to learn only a week in advance of our stay that most of the hotel had been taken over by the Hone Office so it was not the experience we were expecting especially as we had stayed there twice previously.

0 rating half of hotel was cloesd off for immigrants and the breakfast was horrible greasy and no eggs also was very dated rust in bathroom and jacuzzi wasnt on no steam room also and noisy with the trucks and music blasting

Gym - Closed, jacuzzi - Closed, showers in changing area - Broken/Closed, Hairdryer - Broken, Steam Room - Closed. Facilities were limited from what I booked the hotel for. Not a great experience, very disappointed. Won’t be back.

Very disappointing
Avoid! We have stayed here many times before over the last 8-9 years but haven't been anywhere the last 2 years due to COVID. Previously we had always enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others but not anymore. The luxury of the place has disappeared, its definitely not a 4* hotel anymore and i'd barely call it a 3*, its more a 2! For the price we paid we expected the luxury it used to hold not the makings of a 'motel'. We'd have been better staying across the road in the Holiday Inn! The wonderful restaurant and champagne bar has gone. Very very limited menu for food. Breakfast was almost none existent. The dining area was appalling in appearance and cold. We will NEVER stay here again.

It was ok for a 1 night stay. We had to enter through the spa, front entrance was closed. Rooms were very spacious and clean. There was a loud bag outside all night (I believe a factory of some sort) so if you're a light sleeper beware.

Tired, old Hotel, that should be closed
The room was boiling hot even though it was a cold day, aircon was broken and there was just fans in the room which blew around the hot air. It was so uncomfortable that we actually left the hotel at 1:30am as we could sleep. Tiles were falling off in the bathroom. Fridge broken, hair dryer broken. The hotel is so old and tired, really needs completely renovating or just to be closed, as its not fair to charge people £125 for a room. Couldn't get any service at the bar, stood in there for 20mins and no one came. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate, nothing close by. Was awful to be honest.

Wouldn’t stay again
The suite was a good size but the room and hotel in general felt run down. There were stains on the carpets and curtains in the room and the windows fully opened rather than having the safety features. They had been removed from the look of it as the screws and metal were left sticking out of the window sill. The bathroom really could do with an update as there was black mold around parts of the bath, cracked tiles and the shower was either a scalding trickle or off. We were given no information about the hotel when we arrived other than how to find the room, we went for a wander and found the deserted bar area and the pool/spa. The room became very hot overnight and the many fans that we found in the room didn’t really help as there was limited plugs anywhere near the beds. Opening the windows brought a breeze but also the busy road noise right next to the hotel. It’s a shame because I could appreciate how nice the hotel could be.

The rooms the floor above the pool are very hot, it was 27.5c in my room when outside it was 22. They had 3 fans in the room which helped a little.

Stayed at a spa hotel, however the spa was closed. No apologies or discount offered. I would have stayed somewhere else and saved some money had we known.
