Cheap, local vibe. Great option for backpackers.
I got a room with a fan and it is great. It is a bungalow style room and the bathroom has an open ceiling, which is nice and airy. The beds have mosquito nets, the shower only has cold water, but the water is warm in the afternoon, due to being heated by the sun. The location is in the middle-front part of the island near the local community, which is nice if you are interested in engaging more with the community. It is about an 8-10 min walk from the harbour, but the hotel currently does not have signs directing you to them, as other places do. The beach/party action is just an eight-minute walk away. The wifi goes in and out, but is decent. Great value for Gili. You can also rent a bike and book tours from the hotel; the rates are the same as you would get from other vendors.

The hotel is not as good as we would of liked
Better hotels for same price close to the beach , this hotel charged 60 for a night but could of gotten cheaper and better near beach

Ingenting var klar, da vi kom. Værelset var ikke rent og vi kunne ikke få wifi. Ejeren var sød, men kom først senere. Vandet duede kun nogle gange.

Dear Hotels, Pengalaman nginap di Baleku ada plus minus nya..plus nya pelayanan yg ramah dah bantuan informasi yg baik...minus nya daya listrik yg kurang sehingga listrik sering padam.klo semua kamar terisi dan AC di nyalakan MCB PLN turun..kebetulan kamar dkt meteran pln jadi sampe jam 4 subuh tdk tidur ngurus mcb yg sering turun..saran saya daya listrik pln di tambah...thanks

Les draps étaient sales, j'ai du demander de les changer La chambre était pleine de toiles d'araignées. Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas et la communication en anglais avec le personnel était un peu difficile

The staff save this place!
I was staying there last new year, the price went so high and i just stayed for a night and moved to another hotel better in price and condition. the room at baleku was so gloomy and dirty, the bed and linen was not comfort, the bathroom was dirty. And the worst one was the electricity! When i was there almost all the time no electricity, not because the island had no electricity but i think they had some issues with that. But the staff save it lil bit since his very friendly. Not recommended since there are many better out there!!!
