The cheap but good stay
Although, bath was shared, I have no difficulty in staying this house. Especially, the grass ground is near house, I can enjoy running every morning.

현지시각으로 새벽2시쯤 도착했는데도 친절하게 맞아주셨어요. 주변을 돌아볼 여유가 없었지만 히스로공항 에서 거리도 가깝고 편안했습니다. 감사합니다!

Got home last night and all of my luggage now reeks, the same as Apple Guesthouse. The smell is a combination of damp, stale cooking and disinfectant. The ensuite room shower didn't work properly (the proprietor already knew this) but rather than fix it, I had to use the communal one. Everything is tired, worn and rundown. There is damp, rips in the curtains, blocked plugholes, badly worn laminate flooring. They seem to do the absolute minimum to keep the money coming in. I would never go here again, unless it was totally refurbished. It may be ok for an overnight stay whilst waiting for a flight, but other than that... Also, there are 5 rooms but only 2 parking spaces. This led to a big headache as on-street parking is about £3 per hour.. A strong smell of disinfectant came into my room every day from the proprietors quarters. I could also hear his phone notifications going off through the night. It's a shame because if a bit of money was spend and new management, it could be ok..

Sheets and duvet cover stained. Kettle and tea but no milk. Only one cup. Dirty bathroom. No bedside lights. Cramped room no room for cases. Appalling.

I want my money refunded ,which they said we would the apartment was damaged by water leak and I had to stay at a hotel until I found another apartment. I would never recommend this place to anyone

Considering the proximity to the airport - a seven minute walk down to the end of the road and one direct bus going 4 stops to Heathrow Airport - and the one minute walk to a decent pub with gigantic portion sizes and a book of a menu (the Pheasant Inn), I would recommend this guesthouse. I liked the self check in, the host was prompt in replying and the no frills room was exactly as described and fair for the price. I slept well and the room was clean.

Keep looking! There has to be better for the price
Where to start - keep looking as there has to be better. After 8 messages re how to check in, arrived to a room that didn’t resemble the listing in any way. No bedside lamps, just a grotty coffee mug, some teabags flung in an open basket, kettle and fan, smallest bath towels we’ve ever seen measured 100.cms x 55cm and were stained, pulled and yech, so no showers for us! Go to the toilet? NO EFFING TOILET PAPER, anywhere (even the holder was obviously stolen). So messaged them about towels and toilet paper . Still waiting for response 24 hours on! No one around to ask either. By then we’d lost the will so my first ever 1 star review (only because you can’t give 0 stars)

Very helpful, responsive staff. This guesthouse is excellent value for money in central London close to Heathrow airport. Great for shortstay visitors, especially anyone with disrupted flights.

Attempting to take a shower to find out the cold water is not working and the hot water is burning hot. And nobody is available to assist in any way, even acknowledge of your problem.

pleasant & convenient stay very close to LHR
pleasant and surprisingly quiet stay literally 15 minutes from T2 & T3. Easily accessible through public transportation at the bus station close to T2/T3. The 111 line runs 24 hours a day and costs about 2 USD. A quick 10 minutes drive then 5 to 7 minutes walk. I had room nr 6 with private bathroom. Simple. Clean. Free WiFi. Bed too soft for me. A nice local restaurant a 2 minutes walk away. Also a McDonald's a 10 minutes walk away which is open 24 hours a day. Location felt absolutely safe. Nothing exciting I am afraid but again I was surprised how quiet my stay was given the proximity of the airport.

Avoid - stay in a proper hotel
Usually I have great experiences staying in small guesthouses, but this was a disaster. Took 20 minutes to get someone to answer door despite ringing, knocking, calling and finally banging on door. In middle of call to Hotels com to find somewhere else when a man did come to the door, I assume not the owner. Meanwhile another traveller had arrived but like me had trouble understanding the man, who was rather incoherent (seemed to want me to come back in four hours which would be 1 in the morning!) and smelt of drink. She soon left to find somewhere else. I decided to stick it out and to be fair the room I was given was excellent. I should have known better as after 30 minutes I had a knock on the door and the man asked me to move myself and my stuff to a less nice room, which apparently was what I had booked. Given I was only staying for one night and there seemed no one else there, the better customer service option would have been to let me stay in the room. To be fair the room I ended up in was fine and I never saw the man again (letting myself out at 5am), but have no desire to ever return.

Night at Apple House Guesthouse
Nice host and the house is within easy reach of Heathrow airport. I was able to park for free and take the local bus to pick up my daughter. Room was very small and hot and we found it hard to sleep because of the heat and I found the mattress hard. Nevertheless the room and en-suite were clean and good value when you just need a bed for the night.

Good stay
Easy enough to get to from Heathrow taking the bus to the Marriott. Clean and adequate for the price it was a good deal. Bed was comfortable. Would have preferred to have a chair to sit in in the room. The front porch light should be turned off so first floor guests have a darker room.

Reasonably close to Heathrow - a fall-back alternative to Ibis Hotels on Bath Road which I generally use. Landlord's office was right next to bedroom and he stayed up late with radio on into the early hours. But served its purpose. Affordable with a comfortable bed and I got a decent night's sleep.

Warm place to rest before a flight.
The guest house is on the main road but has no public transport that goes directly to it. So you have to walk through an estate, which can be little unsettling at night. Pro: I was welcomed and given a tour of the room. The room was small but ensuite which was nice. The house and room was toasty and warm which was appreciated during this time of year and current economically climate. Affordable price close to the airport. Con: The linens was washed but stained. The bathroom floorboard was creaky and the fan was loud, which cause me to worry about the neighbouring rooms as I had to leave very early in the morning. Some of the fixture needs some cosmetic updating but I was not too bothered by this. I would suggest using white linen so the bedding can be bleach to remove all stains.
