The apartment and its location were excellent, but the check in process was abysmal. As soon as I made the booking, I was asked to provide the time I would be arriving; as we were due to be returning from Paris via the Eurostar, I told them when the train would be in and could only estimate the time of arrival. Unsurprisingly, we were delayed at the rail station, and I received a phone call telling me that because we were late, no one could meet us and we would have to wait another hour or so for someone to meet us to check us in. The person I spoke to berated me as he said he'd been trying to phone me...although I'd already told them we'd be on the Eurostar, and I never received any of their messages. Once we checked in, it was fine, although I then received another phone call 'regarding my request to check in', at which time I had to politely remind them that I had already checked in and was, in fact, speaking to them from the apartment.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, although the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. A note of warning - the apartment is up a flight of stairs and then a spiral staircase. Had we realised this, we would not have booked the apartment, as my friend had hip surgery about 6 months ago and found the stairs to be a bit of a struggle. Still, we were only there one night, so she was able to manage them in that time.
Overall, a very nice apartment in a great location, but the check-in leaves a lot to be desired.
