London hat Charme, was die alten Gebäude betrifft, jedoch sollte ein Hotel in dieser Preiskategorie, weitab vom Town-Center, ein bisschen mehr Wert auf Komfort, Stil und modernere Technik legen. Auch die Matratzen könnten mal erneuert werden.

No one at check in upon arrival for a long time, even after buzzing. Rooms are ok but paper thin walls means you hear everything around you

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Nothing like the photos. Rooms are dreadful, dirty, tv didn’t work, shower didn’t work, shower came apart in my hand. They gave me a new room… no improvement. Dreaded going back every night but had paid upfront .. torn curtains, ripped chair, looks like nothing had been upgraded since early 70’s.. filthy carpet, beds awful, and note in awful toilet asking you not to put toilet paper in the toilet? I cannot stress how bad this hotel is and the stench of stale smoke is the first thing that hits you… BEWARE

Great place to stay for gigs at alexandra palace - hotel is clean but incredibly tired and worn. Pros - close to alexandra palace, all the reception staff were excellent ( special shoutout to the night staff receptionist who intervened in the domestic violence incedent in the room above ours- he was fantastic at de-escalating the whole situation) Check in and check out was painless Great venue if you are looking for somewhere to drop off your stuff and lay your head after a gig. Cons - hotel is very tired and dated. Bathroom was clean but bath looked grubby with age, did not use it. Mould in the bathroom. Heating is on a central timer so prepared for your room to be FREEZING until the heating timer kicks in Walls are very thin (see above at hearing DV incedent at 1am) Pillows also thin (this is more personal preference) Overall the stay was ok, just did not feel rested. However the location of the hotel is great. Also its about a 30 min walk from alexandra palace station

Great location for Ally Pally
Perfect location for Ally Pally and Muswell Hill. Lovely district of London with plenty of shops and restaurants. Easy bus and tube connections. Right in the centre of Muswell Hill. Friendly staff and comfortable room. No frills but good clean place. Would stay again.

Nel mio caso la posizione era comoda perché andavo a trovare un’amica. Per arrivare in centro serve una combinazione di bus e metro e in base alla destinazione dai 45 min a più di un’ora. La stanza era molto pulita, nonostante la moquette. L’hotel non ha ascensore perché si trova all’interno di una vecchia casa. Credo che il costo per una camera singola sia troppo alto (83 eur/notte senza colazione a novembre). Nel complesso l’esperienza è positiva.

Basic accommodation but clean. Ideal for the Alexandra palace location wise. Plenty of restaurants and cafes plus Sainsbury’s. Rooms as I said were clean but room was stuck in the 1970s with furniture that was unloved. Beds comfortable with clean linen. I would say a definite 3 star. Met our requirements as we were only staying the one night.

Keep it Simple for Solo Traveler
Very simple accommodations for solo for one night. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Easy access to bus stations and plenty of places to eat a meal close by.

Would not recommend
We paid 177$ for the night and got a tiny room. After two nights we got an upgrade which was a bit bigger but not up to date. Nothing in this hotel was the same as advertised. Would not recommend.

Pros: Good value for money. This hotel was adequate for a commuter who has to stay in London for a night rather than going home. Close to shops and restaurants. Clean room with the basics and nothing more. Quick and efficient check in. Cons: The rooms are dated and could do with refurbishment. Takes around an hour to get there from central London. You need a bus to get to the tube station, otherwise it is a 20 min walk. In summary: good value no frills hotel.

The location was excellent for attending a concert at the Alexandra Palace (12 minutes walk away). However, I feel this hotel has been hanging on for many years simply due to its prime location for nearby events. The entry and corridors have that old musky smell. There is no onsite bar or restaurant. The rooms are tiny and dark and in need of refurbishment. It may have been a 'Three Star' establishment at some point but the whole place is in dire need of refurbishment. If you want to step back in time this is the place for you.

Ok stay
Good location for Alexandra Palace, I booked a family room which was spacious. Furniture and decor was miss matched and had seen better days, bathroom could also do with an update and a better clean as there were still hairs in the shower. There was a portable Aircon unit in the room which was useful and also complementary teas and coffees. I would stay here again for events at Alexandra Palace but only because the lack of other accommodation nearby.

Muswell Hill is a great area but no direct transport to central London - multiple bus and then tube options. Great eating and close to Highgate Woods and Alexandra Palace. But that's about it. Small rooms, paper thin walls, no sleep when next door comes in at 2 am after having a few drinks and spend the next couple of hours talking at the top of their heads
