Great location if you need a bed for the night
Location is perfect for our needs. Very close to the tube and Albert hall. The down side it wasn't a very nice room. plug socket hung off the wall and a hole munched in the wall. Shower and toilet not the best.

It was so bad we left after one night
The room was moldy. Every spring could be felt on the mattresses and the pillow was like an envelope. Rooms were tiny, walls and doors paper thin. The lock on our door looked like it had been kicked in. Shared bathroom was advertised, but it wasn't advertised that there were two bathrooms for pretty much the entire building. From 6-9am there was a noisy parade of nonstop showers leaving the bathroom soaking wet. The other bathroom was extremely dirty and moldy so I opted not to use that one. The WiFi stopped working about six hours after check-in and gave the "Connected, no internet access" signal for at least 15-16 hours before we left. Overall, the only thing this place has going for it is the location, which is close to Gloucester Street underground, but otherwise should be shut down. We left after the first night and ate the cost, as it was non refundable. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

Gute Lage in Londons Schmuddeligkeit
Die Zimmer waren nicht bei Ankunft heregerichtet und gereinigt. Das Klo und andere Nebenräume waren separapt und anfännglich nicht zu benutten. Stümperhatft renoviert und die Dachfläche war mit leeren Flaschen und Müll vom Personal nicht zu reinigen. Das Zimmer war schmuddelig, kaputt und Wandflächen mit Feuchteschäden und z.T. schimmelig. Aber wie gesagt. Die Lage. Unsere Kinder konnten nicht verstehen, dass man hier bleiben kann. Schade.

Amis français, lisez ceci avant de réserver car nous formons le gros bataillon des clients de cet "hôtel". Quand j'ai lu les avis négatifs, j'ai pensé que c'était le fait de gens particulièrement mécontents. Mais une fois sur place, j'ai vite compris et je confirme tous les avis négatifs auxquels j'ajoute le mien: Stay in Chelsea est un marchand de sommeil, le pire de Londres, décrépi, sale et mal tenu, bref une ruine, l'eau chaude est au quatrième étage. La chambre que j'avais réservée était soit disant inondée et on m'a envoyé dans un autre taudis, beaucoup plus loin et à mes frais. Donc autant payer un peu plus cher et aller ailleurs, vous ne trouverez pas pire. A bon entendeur...fuyez!

STAY AWAY!
We cancelled our reservation after one night. The room was nowhere near the description at hotels.com. The room was extremely dirty, the kitchen tap not working and leaking. The shower drain blocked and almost flooding the bathroom. Wifi was out of order as long as we were there. The electrical wiring was hanging from the walls, very dangerous regarding fire risk. We found another hotel after one night, could not risk staying in this hotel any longer.

Dirty room, Smelly Toilet, No reception. Blackout.
1 permanent staff and 1 cleaner do all job including cleaning and receiving customer. They have 24 rooms to take care. At least they need to provide a reception table to take customer in because it is a hot place for visitors. some need to get wet in the rain just for waiting someone to take them into the building. Toilet have no hot water. and very very bad .

Nous avons appelé une fois arrivés devant l'hôtel. Quelques minutes après nous avons reçu un SMS avec toutes les informations pour récupérer les clés et l'adresse d'un autre hôtel. Ce dernier se trouvais à 1.5 mile qu'il a fallut faire à 20h et nous a éloigné du centre. Pourquoi ne pas nous avoir prévenu avant ? . Les draps étaient propres mais état de la chambre et salle de bains sommaire. Pour un séjour entre copain ça passe mais votre petite amie ne supportera pas ce lieu qui est très limité

Awful All Around
When my friend and I arrived at the "hotel" there were no instructions on how to get in. We rang what we thought was the door bell several times with no luck. My friend went around the corner to a neighbors house where they told her that this happens all time and people end up calling the owner. Because we were international we didn't have phone service. I stopped some men outside and asked if I could borrow their phone, by this time the employee of the "hotel" came out. He awkwardly confirmed that I had paid for the room then took us upstairs to a room and briefly showed us a bathroom and then showed us another room. We picked the 2nd room. He failed to mention that the building did not have hot water. The second night there was no water at all. I asked our neighbors staying in the room next to us about the situation. The one guy told me that if we went to the basement (4 flights down) the bathroom down there had water. The bathroom smelled awful. The half bath (2 piece) on our floor was disgusting. There was dust everywhere and it smelled of sewage. The sheets on the bed were stained, as were the towels. The WiFi was very temperamental. All in all the best part of this hotel was when we left.

Beliggenheden er perfekt! 5 min gåtur til Glocester Road Station. Det værelse vi fik var ok. Vi skulle "bare" sove der i 3 nætter. Det er ikke et guesthouse jeg ville anbefale hvis man skal opholde sig mere tid på værelset. Badeværelserne lidt usle men ok - toilettet havde svært ved at trække op. Manageren har jeg ingen gode ord at sige om. Han havde overbooket værelset vi skulle have og rykkede os til et andet guesthouse 10 min væk, hvor der ikke var en metrostation i nærheden. Da vi havde brugt 1-2 timer på at brokke os til Expedia og ham - fandt han "pludselig" et 6 mands værelse på det Stay in chelsea og vi kom tilbage ... Vi var kun 4 personer!

Schrecklich! - Terrible!
Absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Wir sind noch am gleichen Tag umgezogen. Im Bad Schimmel und Dreck! Eine Kläranlage riecht gut dagegen. Das Zimmer geht gar nicht: - Flecken an der Wand - Bettdecke kaputt, sodass das Innenleben rauskam - rissige Decke, sodass man Angst haben muss sie kommt herunter - verschmierter Spiegel und - der Sessel im Zimmer lebte --> dreckiger geht es nicht mehr Von Außen auch nicht viel besser. Müllsäcke stehen rum und aus den Fallrohren wächst das Unkraut. Und was auch absolut nicht geht ist die Kommunikation. Es gibt keine Rezeption, dafür stehen an der Tür drei Telefonnummern, die aber so gut wie nie besetzt sind. Auch nicht zu den angegebenen Bürozeiten. Fazit an alle Interessenten: Finger weg davon! Ekelhafter geht es kaum noch!

I WOULD NEVER STAY AGAIN
woke up the next day after sleeping here and was covered in bug bites. When I tried getting a hold of the person in charge I got no response. Finally someone from VRBO contacted him and he was going to meet us at our room to switch us (after refusing to give any sort of refund). He never showed up. Wasted and entire day and a half in London. Was forced to stay in the same room and continue to get bug bites for the rest of my stay.

Great if you only need a cheap place to sleep at night
We came during a heat wave, and they put us up in the 6th floor, which only had one window and no ventilation. I know there was nothing they could do about the heat, but it was miserable the first couple of nights. Everything else was okay, we were in a great central location with two different metro stops nearby. It's definitely not a place I would stay if I wanted a relaxing place to go at night, but for four college kids trying to save money that just needed a place to sleep at night, it was fine.

Worst Hotel Ever, Don't Stay Here
We could not stay at this place. It was dirty, rooms weren't cleaned at check-in. They had no specific room for us and went looking at different rooms to see which one we could be in. All were dirty and unmade. Shared bathrooms were tiny and dirty, no toilet paper. It was impossible to contact the manager. No one was at the site until check-in and only for a short time then. And the wifi was not working!

Horrible! I arrived a bit early and called the number on the front door. Check in time is 2PM but he said he will open the door at 3PM. 2 bathrooms did not have any lights so I had to tell him to replace the light bulbs. He did not replace them until next day; had to take shower in the dark. One bathroom had windows without any curtains. My room was so dirty and doorknob was broken from inside. No air conditioner not fan so I had to open windows at night so it was very noisy. Bathroom did not have enough toilet papers so I had to go buy my own. Of course there were no towels. Curtains in the room were so dirty and warn out. Room did not look anything like pictures shown. Stay away from this place.

Superb location... but: we had to phone on arrival
The location is super. The beds were comfortable. The floor was so dusty that we washed our feet before going to bed. There were plumbing problems, so we called the management. Two days later these were fixed.

Worst place ever
The hotel was gross, so dirty and so not comfortable. I wish i had known all that before booking it. Plus the door of our room had been busted open before and in consequence, the lock wasn't working wich is not at all good!! I will make a compplaint and ask for a refund, that's how bad it was...

Terrible place not a hotel
No owners or staff on site No hot water in downstairs bathrooms Internet didn't work at all up stairs but did sometimes down stairs. Guests are left to work things out together. Ran out of toilet paper had to go to local cafe for seviets. Many lights missing & power points exceptionally dangerous one had burn marks all around. It is in a good location and beds are comfy

Good location but not clean
This appartment with shared bathrooms is cheap accomodation in London in a lovely neighbourhood but little else. Room, except bed, is very dirty, bathroom is dirty, entrance and stir areas are dirty. Floor carpets has not been cleaned for ages.

Yo tenía habitación single, se hace un poco pequeña y difícil sacar las cosas de la maleta, no hay donde poner la ropa. Es casi imposible contactar con los teléfonos que hay a disposición. Ni se te ocurra llegar antes de la hora de entrada porque no te van a atender y no podrás entrar. Durante tu estancia, nadie atenderá tus peticiones, yo pregunté que si podía ampliar mi estancia una noche (por necesidad) y ni siquiera contestaron. Las puertas de las habitaciones no tienen llaves sino códigos, al igual que la de la calle. Cualquiera que sepa el código puede entrar. Nunca hay nadie a excepción de Gonzalo, el chico de la limpieza, que es quien va a recibirte. Por el único motivo por el que evalúo este hostal como aceptable, es porque es tranquilo y puedes descansar bien.

The worst hotel I have EVER stayed in
The staff is completely non existent, it took me 2 hours to check in because there was no-one on site, there is lots of mold in both bathrooms downstairs, the doorknob to my room literally FELL OFF, there were rats visible in the trash outside my window and the cleaning staff stole about £250 worth of items from me and the owner didn't care. I wouldn't stay there again if someone paid me.

Stay with a friend here with best buddy. Placed in a basement room. Room was sizeable but shabby: slightly cold, some ceiling lights didn't function, sofa was soiled. Wifi strength was spotty; mobile connection was poor. Bathroom was smelly, wasn't cleaned, and electricity went off--blowing room light fuse. No one to contact for help--saw host Antonio once (seemed like a nice guy). I observed better rooms were available. Would stay there again if I didn't care about much about room quality and I need a cheap place in nice area.

Très déçue car l'immeuble est vieux, et très sale. Beaucoup de poussières, les toilettes étaient très sales. J'ai dû le signaler au personnel pour faire nettoyer et enlever la mauvaise odeur. Nous avions précisé notre arrivée pour 15h et la chambre n'était pas prête du tout, et nous avons dû patienter pendant un bon moment. Pas professionnel du tout.

Man darf keinen dt. Hotelstandard erwarten, für englische Verhältnisse sauber, komfortabel und vor allem echte gute Lage in nobler Umgebung, zentral und gute Infrastrukutur, sehr einfach von und nach Heathroww von dort, fußläufig zm VA-Museum, gute Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung.

Fotos entsprechen überhaupt nicht dem tatsächlichem Zustand .Möbel abgenutzt. Tapete verschmutzt und hängt von den Wänden, alles mit Bauschaum geflickt, Steckdosen Plastik abgebrochen, Küchenzeile total verdreckt-absolut renovierungsb dürftig. Hatte mir nach der Buchung erst die Bewertungen durchgelesen und wusste was auf uns zukommt. Den schlechten Bewertungen ist leider zuzustimmen☹️ Der Tipp mit den Badelatschen zum Duschen ist absolut empfehlenswert, sowie was zum Desinfizieren mitzunehmen!

Not run as a business
After reading reviews on tripadvisor, I was bracing myself for a complete and utter dump. It wasn't as bad as I expected but not particularly pleasant. Room was scruffy and bedsheets did not inspire confidence. Staff who greeted was friendly and helpful. However, this accommodation is not run like a business. There is no front desk. Instead 3 phone numbers are listed. 2 were engaged, and I have a feeling I got lucky with the third. Don't think I could recommend this as the business practice seems to be too unpredictable.

Nice & cosy guesthouse, would definitely come back
Very nice location, 5mins away from the tube & very central to London! The brazilian guy who welcomed me was extremely nice, friendly & cute. The room was very pretty, the facilities very good, the bed was comfortable & the room was clean and smelled extremely nice (there's a very pleasant smell in the entire house). I enjoyed my stay in this calm neighborhood in the center of London. I'll definitely stay here when I come back to London!

Worth the price in a good location
Worth the price you r paying. Main issue that I noticed was the noise from the street filtering in even after the windows were shut! They provided us all necessary equipments for the stay, but I wished if they have put them in place in a better organised manner!
