small room but very clean and tidy.
I stayed in this hotel for 4 days and I liked this hotel very much. firstly, room is small but very very clean and organized. Free wifi was also fast and useful. The location is clean and convenient to go anywhere (5 min walking distance to south Kensington station). A bottle of water is served every day and we had tea time using that water. No refrigerator. All the staff members were kind.

Excellent location, five minutes from South Kensington Underground. As the hotel was converted from two historic houses, the lift is tiny and the stairs steep and fairly narrow. Rooms are reasonably sized and comfortable. Cooked to order breakfast is tasty and good value for money.

Comfort in the City
This hotel cares about its customers. While the rooms are tiny, everything is of high quality, from Nespresso machines to dressing gowns to free milk delivered , A really nice place to stay

no hot water to room basic requirement for rooms
stayed in room 33 it had no hot water at all so no shower after a day travelling still no hot water the following morning meant to be five star. with poor customer service as an offer of a free room upgrade and only valid for 6 months.

The hotel was in a very nice location, very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is to put some kind of grab bar next to the shower. You have to step up and in to a tub and then step down onto the ground getting out and there’s nothing to hold on to.

Fantastic, friendly hotel in great location
Fantastic hotel in a great location to easily get to all museums and Sloane Square shopping. Quiet side street location - not much traffic noise which is a huge bonus in London! Very friendly and helpful staff and the room was a good size and very nicely furnished. Will definitely choose this hotel next time we’re in London.

We wanted a boutique hotel near Kensington & Hyde Parks. The Sydney Hotel Chelsea was perfect. We liked the vintage feel of the building and appreciated the updated rooms. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional. It is truly walkable with wonderful restaurants nearby. The hotel is nestled in a local neighborhood...so for a few days, it became our home away from home.

Lovely small hotel in a quiet street in Chelsea. Convenient walking distance to the Museums in South Kensington, and the concert hall we visited. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast too.

Good accommodation for a central London location. The double room had all necessities. Bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful as the help desk is managed 24/7. Beware that the lift is very small and so no big luggage can be carried to upper floors. As there are mezzanine levels in each floor, rooms are very close to each other and there could be noise from the stairs.

Pleasant enough - breakfasts not good value
A friendly well located and pleasant hotel. Staff generally were helpful and provided a good service. One of our two breakfast (English) unfortunately did not live up to our expectations by any means. Especially at £22.50! (Which in fairness on checking out was deducted from my bill). The bacon was fatty and cooked to a crisp - the mushroom was covered in fat/oil. The egg and tomato was minuscule and some beans would have been nice. The young waiter - whilst pleasant enough was hardly present - not around for me to give feedback or ask for something else - or indeed to ask “if everything was ok”.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Our stay was on the same night that the hotel experienced a leak from a burst water pipe which meant the dining room was closed and there was no breakfast available the next morning which was very disappointing!

The location of the hotel was exactly what I was looking for. The penthouse was a good size and the roof terrace was stunning. However I feel like it was not well looked after and really not worth the money they charged for it. The paint on the walls was chipped and scuffed. The wood on the door frame was rotting away. The air on was not working. The bathroom had evidence of water dripping down the walls. The sheets had marks on them. The toothbrush holder had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. Several of the plants on the roof terrace were dead.

Let’s start with the negative, we went down for breakfast at 7:30 looking forward to what was described as “an experience not to be missed”. Our order was taken by a pleasant young man who failed to mention until he returned some 15 mins later with muesli and granola that there was no chef and therefore no cooked breakfast. They had also run out of butter, so we couldn’t even eat the toast. We were informed a replacement was on the way and would arrive by 8:00am. By 8:15 we gave up and decided to go out for breakfast. At check out the receptionist was moderately sympathetic, but no offer of a refund for the breakfast we had already paid for was offered. We have subsequently emailed the hotel to complain, but 2 days later have not yet received a response. This is a pity because the hotel is rather nice, in a good location and the room was very nice. However it is when things go wrong that the true measure of customer service can be judged, so unfortunately a big fail here.
