Jones Beach Hotel provided a very nice stay. The room was comfortable and provided very well for all of my needs. The WiFi was in and out but it was nothing to complain about. Perfect location for my visit.

Very clean room, very friendly greeting at front desk. Sits in a quiet neighborhood . Suited our needs for a one night stay after attending a family event in nearby Point Lookout.

Great Property
Wonderful stay only downfall it was unseasonably warm and the AC had been removed. We were so hot at night. But that was nothing they could help. Staff was friendly, bar was very nice. Room was very clean, beds comfortable, feel very safe and secure at this facility. Thank You. We will be back.

A little Gem - Very quaint.
A couple of points that travelers should be aware of.. Firstly this hotel is a little gem. This very clean and has a quaint restaurant and bar attached. Very friended at check in too. However, this hotel does show up in the 'JFK' searches. Be careful - Uber is around $90 each way. That puts a sting in the rate. I rented a car. $50 for the day plus $5 in gas. But it caught me out... Not their fault, and it did say on the add that it was 31 miles from JFK - I just didn't read it. One other note - my room did not have AC. That's fine in December but it would be too hot in summer. Unless they have window A/C's? Anyhow, I'd stay there again. If the area is your destination, do it in a heart beat.

The hotel was at the end of a residential area. It was conveniently located close to a funeral home I had to go to, and there were businesses a short distance away. It was quiet and clean. But the room didn’t have a closet to hang my clothes (not a huge deal for one night). Also I came to find out when I got ready to go to bed there was no heat in the room. I ended up using the blanket from the other bed. I told the person the next morning and she said I should have called down… but there are no house phones and I wasn’t looking up the main phone number at midnight to call.

Although the check-in staff was friendly, the building itself left much to be desired. The room's heater felt unbearably hot, the outlets were non-functional, and the noisy, creaky surroundings made for an unpleasant stay.

This hotel was cute and clean, the staff was welcoming. The rooms were on the small side but more than adequate for my stay and the room was super clean. The only downside is that there is no elevator.

Staff were friendly and the front desk receptionist was cool and fun to talk to. Hotel is very old school and doesn’t have many of the features modern hotels have, but it’s not a huge issue and I still enjoyed my stay.

Older dated hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms need to be updated but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient to restaurants and beach.

Quaint, quirky hotel
Excellent friendly staff. Great location. Comfortable. Only drawback is the lask of an elevator. We were on the third floor, which required a walk up two flights of stairs with suitcases.

Wonderful Surprise
I have to be honest when we first pulled up I was skeptical but I was wonderfully surprised! The personality and history of this location is worth the stay. The hotel is very clean, staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome! We will definitely be back.

This is an old hotel. When I first saw it I was worried. But it’s super clean and totally retro. Don’t expect a modern facility. It’s an old building so if you can’t handle that don’t go. If you like a fun adventure you’ll enjoy it. Oh yeah… the bed was good!!

We were in town for the Ironman 70.3. Wanted to stay close to the venue. The price was right. The hotel is on the older side but it quite charming. The rooms were very clean. I’m so picky about accommodations but I have to say the rooms were very clean. Small and basic but very clean. Manny was absolutely amazing. He welcomed us and was very accommodations to all the athletes who stayed there that weekend. He made sure the hot water was really hot for when the athletes returned from a cold and rainy race. He offered small heaters for rooms so they would be extra warm if needed. He was awesome. It’s also close by to the highway and a ton of dining options. Worth a stay. I would return.

Best Kept Secret Near Jones Beach
I have stayed here twice, and will make it my choice again and again when visiting Long Island. First, it is located deep within a very clean and neat residential neighborhood so there is little traffic noise to deal with. The (free) parking lot is fenced in- feels very safe to be here. Though the building itself is 100 years old, the landscaping and general condition of the outside is very well kept. The entry has a set of double doors that are locked at night, but you are given a key to let yourself in after hours. The check-in desk and lobby are super cool- very retro styled, making you feel comfortable immediately. There is a lounge and restaurant onsite, as well as a banquet hall for use for wedding receptions, etc. Both have been completely renovated recently. Almost like staying at a friends house, it has charm and comfort instead of the utilitarian feel of the big box hotels. Yes, it is an older building, but, it is well equipped with all the amenities, including a coffee maker, small refrigerator, cable TV, hair dryer, table and chairs, etc. Rooms are a little bit cramped, but, we were just there to sleep. Bathrooms are definitely small, but serve the purpose well. Decor is very neat- again, not like the cookie cutter approach of other businesses. Each room has a different look, and feel. The owner, Ellie, is a wonderful soul who is there to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Definitely recommend!!!!
