Stunning views of the ocean and great beaches. The room was clean and the cleaning staff were very good. The room itself was a little run down. Rust in the bathroom shower and on the heater, exposed screws on the wall finishings, an exposed electrical box, etc.... All in all, no deal breakers but when you pay top dollar you should get an impeccable room

My family loves this property. We go for Labor Day every single year and request the same room. We love the beach set up and the pool. It is close to Montauk and convenient to just about every where. 5 star, highly recommend it.

Great location on wonderful beach. And it has a sweet, old fashioned quality to it; think beach hotel 1960. But our room was dreary and falliing apart, and just got the sense that nobody at the property really cared about anything All this for a small fortune.

The only complaint I would have is that we could hear the people above us waking around, moving some furniture and opening and closing the sliding door. The chairs have felt pads but coffee table does not We expressed our concerns about the door and it was addressed immediately. The next morning was much much better but we could still hear walking around and any time the coffee table was moved. I would suggest an upper level floor to avoid this.

Beach with chairs was great and private. Didn't like that keys were missing from check in envelope and was told the person forgot to put them in which necessitated two trips for check in.

Check in very easy. Keys left in key box for after hour check in. Lots of text communication which streamlined housekeeping and beach paraphernalia needs. Pull out sofa bed extremely uncomfortable for my teenage kids. Bedroom mattress was fine. Bedroom could have used a TV. Hotel is basically on the beach, which is a plus for me. The rooms were clean and the A/C was fine. I would stay again on my next visit. I like staying in Amagansett as Montauk is just a 10 minute drive East to do water activities and fishing. The company who manages this property, manages other properties in the Hamptons which would be worth considering also.

This was out first trip to Long Island and Ocean Colony was a great place to stay, surrounded by parkland and on a beautiful beach. Nice 2 bedroom apartment was well equipped and with ocean view. Received an app every night asking what we needed the next morning. There was a second app every day about reserving beach chairs, umbrellas and towels ... loved that idea! Highly recommend Ocean Colony!

Cute little Oceanside condo
This property was such a pleasant surprise! The photos on the site are obviously very old, but the rooms were cute and updated. Check in and signing up for amenities were very smooth. We had tons of space in our 1 bedroom. Loved the full kitchen and balcony. Super happy with our stay!

Rude front desk. Mask policy though clerk wore hers under her nose. No ice machine. 5pm check in with 11am xheck out. staff at pool checking if you are drinkung from a CAN. zero insulation to noisy neighbors. old key system for doors. no iron. no broom in unit..SAND...HELLOO.

Great location by the beach, easy check in and clean. The hotel staff were hard to get in touch with, but honestly the listing was clear and the key/ check in process was easy so I didn't really need them. Was kind of nice to do it on my own more.

My unit was absolutely awesome. Two floors with a loft, balcony, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, the whole nine. It was quiet and peaceful (which was the point of my stay) it was lovely looking at the beach all day. Not sure if it was because it was unusually windy the first couple of days, but there was a terrible draft coming from the sliding doors. The first night wasn’t very pleasant because no matter how much I pumped up the heat, it was freezing in the unit. It wasn’t until the next day that I found it was a crazy draft coming from the sliding doors that I had to stick paper towels into to cover it up lol. After that, it was perfect temperature in the unit and everything else was easy going.

We liked the proximity to the beach, the responsive to requests for supplies for the unit, the remote check-in was easy (however they promised, yet failed to text me when the unit was ready for check-in), the beds were comfortable, had sufficient, kitchen supplies (plates, glasses, pots and pans), and plentiful hot water. We found the accommodations dated and spartan. The furnishings were minimal (e.g. no decoration of any kind on walls, one couch, and two hard chairs in living room), the patio had two chairs with one in need of repair and no umbrella for table, and the soundproofing between the two units was inadequate. The bedroom closets had not doors or coverings.

Place was very comfortable and homey. Very quiet so you’re able to get a good nights sleep. Besides a little trouble with tub draining and a few missing cookie sheets in the kitchen, it had all things that you would need for a pleasant stay.

Loved this location - steps away from the beach and just a short drive to Montauk. The room we got was clean and very cute. Was a bit iffy given the inconsistency of reviews but think we lucked out and got a good room.

Great little place, steps from ocean.super clean, great communication with resort. We stayed in 1714 right next to the beach path and it was even cuter than it looked in the pics on their website. Just beware, when you select the room on hotels.com, you may not get the one you chose - the one shown here was not what we selected, but we contacted the resort directly and they assigned us 1714 - loved it!

Great location on the beach!
1 bedroom by the pool was super relaxing! Great location to the beach and a great spot for families. The kitchen had all the essentials. Decor could use an update and bedroom mattress could be more comfortable. Cabana service at the beach made life much easier!
