WiFi works only on the first floor with a weak signal and there are no rooms on the first floor. There are no ceiling fans in the room as mentioned in the amenities. The receptionist (from the evening shift) wasn't that kind to discuss and he could not speak English. We were provided with used bedsheets and blankets. The bathing towels weren't in good condition. Breakfast was really good. But still it is not recommended to stay in this hotel.

Pro: comodità di essere in centro abbastanza vicino alle principali fermate dei mezzi pubblici e della navette per l'aeroporto Contro: rumorosita sia proveniente da altre camere che dalla strada pur essendo alloggiato al quarto piano la finestra non teneva fuori i rumori Quando sono arrivato dopo il check-in , non so per quale ragione , mi hanno fatto salire a piedi (al 4°piano) pur essendoci l'ascensore

El alojamiento más barato y se nota
Los trabajadores son todos amables, pero el hotel en sí se quedó en los años 60. Han renovado el suelo de las habitaciones, pero a la cama se le notaban todos los muelles, las almohadas eran pequeñas y de pedazos de espuma, un auténtico horror. El secador ni funcionaba, solo un enchufe al lado de la cama, las ventanas de aluminio ni cerraban por lo que se escuchaba todo el ruido de la calle, bastante transitada. El desayuno continental normal, no estaba mal. El parking es en un hotel cercano pagando 5 euros al día. En general, si es solo para dormir cerca del centro y no te importa mucho la comodidad, entonces este es tu hotel.

Não voltarei a ficar neste hotel.
Não gostei, a colcha da cama estava suja, o chuveiro deitava pouquíssima água e sem pressão. O colchão era desconfortável e para não falar das almofadas que não eram uniformes e cheiravam mal.

O hotel é bem simples, o que condiz com o valor, porém a higiene deixa a desejar e o pior mesmo é a condição de sono. Os trabesseisros SÃO PÉSSIMOS e não adianta pedir para trocar, pois além da má vontade, você só receberá outros travesseiros ainda piores. Porém, é preciso dizer que a localização é excelente e fica acima de um mercado continente.

Pretty terrible rooms, old, gross, and the bathroom is awful. Also the worst bed i’ve ever laid on. Lots of tiny ants crawling around. Don’t stay here

Boa localização, muito central e com pouco ruído. Pequeno almoço muito fraco em termos de diversidade e qualidade. Duche com água morna e praticamente sem pressão. No geral, considero um preço exagerado para o serviço que me foi prestado. No entanto, pareceu-me existir vontade para melhorar. Faço votos de que assim aconteça para não denegrir a expetativa dos futuros hóspedes/turistas, nacionais ou estrangeiros.

Great place for a short stay. Generous room size. Pleasant and helpful staff. Location is superb, very central and walkable to places and it has supermarket next door which is very handy. Stay included breakfast with reasonable choices. Shower facilities needs maintenance as water pressure was very low, everything else is good and room had massive wardrobes and a lovely balcony.

Never again
After arrive receptionist told us, that they have overbooking and we need to stay in hotel sirius… We found it on Google maps, Greco has 4*, Sirius has 2* and it was visible. Loud, old, terrible… thanks god it was only 1 night.

Hôtel plus que vieillot !
La première nuit nous été logés à l'hôtel Central juste à côte. Correct. La résidence par contre est en très mauvais état, la baignoire toute écaillée, le systéme d'eau date d'il y a 50 ans, je ne recommande pas.

Hotel figé dans les années 70, désuet mais propre. Personnel compétant et très sympathique. Emplacement exceptionnel en plein centre ville. Confort minimal atteignant une étoile avec peine, mais petit déjeuner correcte pour le prix. Wifi seulement au premier étage. Attention Chambres qui coutent le tiers du prix de la concurrence à cet emplacement, bien pour les jeunes mais à déconseiller à ceux qui cherchent le confort 3 étoiles. TV complète dans les Chambres. Linge impeccable (draps et serviettes changées et propres). Hotel qui était surement luxueux il y a 40 ans comme l’atteste sa déco exceptionnellement bien conservée, Une curiosité pour les amateurs de design/architecture des années 70 ! En résumé un hotel familial qui permet de faire des économies non négligeables pour le logement dans Funchal Centre.

Location is amazing. Very close to the center and public transportation. The staff was very friendly, the room was great and I enjoyed the view and the breakfast. The only downsides were the ants I saw, the bad WiFi connection on the upper floors. Also there could’ve been some lights on the balconies or the patio. Nevertheless I had a great time.

I liked terrace with a view of Funchal, it’s just sad that the toilet and shower has leaked, also when checking out I heard some s*x noises in near room (lmao) but everything was good.

O hotel tem potencial, entretanto está com a sua estrutura muito fragilizada. Fui no início do verão, ou seja muito quente, e no quarto não tem ar condicionado. O banheiro precisa de reparos e o local do banho não é nada agradável. O café da manhã é básico, café, pão, queijo e presunto, com umas poucas frutas. Como eu só uso o hotel para dormir, atendeu as minhas necessidades. A localização em FUNCHAL é perfeita! Era São João e vimos todas as festividades, bem ao lado do hotel. Precisa apenas de uma reforma. Os funcionários foram bem agradáveis.

This property was very okay. In terms of cleanliness, our room had an abundance of ants and the bedding was stained in various places. There was no AC, which made it hot and sticky in the room. Very small/ dirty shower. Only two outlets to share between three people. On the other hand, the location was very nice, easy check in and they had an okay continental breakfast. One thing I found strange was that when you leave the hotel during the day, you have to leave your keys to the room at the front desk. Then when you go back you say your room number and show zero proof of who you are. Anyone could get into your room, and there isn't someone at the front desk 24/7 watching your room key. Overall, this property was okay, but I would not stay again.

I have never been in the worst hotel. I don’t understand how is passible that they have 4 stars shocking.Very dirty carpet with stains.Window doesn’t close I can’t sleep, you hear everything what is happening outside and inside as well.Definitely not recommended. Thank you

Colocaram-nos num quarto que estava fechado há muitos dias porque estavam com excedente de reservas. Durante dois dias, dormimos num quarto que não tinha água quente, que tinha roupas sujas e antigas atiradas num sofá, que não era limpo, que tinha um cheio abominável a mofo e a humidade porque não tinham como mudar-nos para outro quarto. Após várias reclamações e contacto com o departamento de reservas ( que prontamente nos ajudou com o maior zelo e amabilidade) foi-nos feito um upgrade para o outro hotel da cadeia. Nesse hotel todas as condições foram bastante agradáveis e a experiência foi muito boa. No entanto, este alojamento deixou muito a desejar.

Dreadful hotel
The carpets were badly stained, the shower and shower curtain was in bad condition, breakfast was minimal and bland, bed in first room was in poor state. New room requested and carpet in room stained and insects on floor. Furniture on bal cony was old and worn.
