We are sorry that you were not able to communicate with our staff, we supose you refer our cleaning staff who are the ones that only understand the most basic and usual phrases. From reception staff, we will try to teach them some more so they are able to speak a little more. We are not sure what do you meant when you wrote about the coffee/tea facility, since all our rooms have a tray with a water heater, coffee, tea and biscuits for free, they are on the table of each room. We hope you to give us a second chance and we recommend you to book one of our superior rooms, which are bigger than the double std ones and we are sure they will suit your preferences better. Dear guest, we are sorry about all the misunderstandings but, as we told you during your stay, we are not sure what was told to you when booking or what you thought you were booking but we will be very pleased to speak to your agency so this kind of things does not happen again: First of all, we are not a hotel and never pretending to be one; we are a hostal which is a spanish category in between a hotel and a hostel. We opened on 2015 and, since then, we have never confirmed if our guests will have a double bed or two separate ones when they reserve a double std room (we have just 3 double std rooms: 2 of them have double bed and just 1 has 2 separate beds and, although we always try to satisfy everyone, sometimes is just impossible because everybody asks for the same). Nevertheless, we always notify it at the moment a reservation is made, when we send an e-mail asking for the time of arrival so, in case your agency did not inform you, and, of course, if they informed us about your preference, you should have known that we did not confirm any kind of bed preference right when you made your booking. Our location is right in between Plaza Mayor, Plaza de San Miguel, Plaza de Oriente and Plaza de Opera so, of course there are other places as well located as ours, but it seems a bit mean to insult precisely an enviable location that allowed you to visit the most touristic spots on foot. Dear Marcin, thank you very much for taking the time to share your opinions with us. We are glad that you enjoyed our location and valued our staff's work, since they are both the soul of our place. We are sorry about the misunderstanding of our category: we are not a hotel and never pretended to be one, neither are we a hostel, translated in spanish as "albergue"; we are a hostal which is a spanish category in between hotel and hostel: all our rooms are private with bathroom included, tv, wifi, amenities and coffee/tea corner inside the rooms but we are located just in the second floor of a building and we do not have 24 hours reception (and that's why we cannot be a hotel). We do not know through which page or agency you made your reservation but we will check the information of all those with whom we work so that none of them offer wrong information to our guests. In relation with the hot water tanks, all our rooms have them and we have 100L per room so usually it is more than enough. Nevertheless, of course, if you had just 5 minutes of hot water means that something went wrong and we are sorry for that. We hope you to offer us a second chance and visit us again so you can check that running out of hot water is not, at all, commonplace. Best regards from The Citadel by Pillow Team.
