Millie on check in was brilliant, very professional and gave excellent customer service. The hotel and rooms though are another matter. The cleanliness is horrendous - we went through three rooms before finally being able to settle on a fourth room - a whole hour wasted. All rooms had the same issues, needing a deep clean with dust and food particles behind furniture, light fightings, wardrobes, hairs on bedsheets. Tired furnishings and interior design and small tvs. Drainage problem in hotel too, corridors and en-suite smelt uninhabitable. The bar was dreadful too - basic furnishings more like a cafe, uncomfortable seating and cheap, tacky dusty with dead flowers. Even the ‘lake’ was disappointing and the hotel is right next to a motorway. Would have been nice in the 80’s but awful now. Never worth the rate paid.
