NIGHTMARE AT LA SIERRA
Need serious updates, the bed is hard like a rock, no electrical outlets, just near the TV and inside the bathroom, people who need to plug any device, e.g.: medical, cell charger and others, near-bed does not have the option, unless you have an extension cord, no pillows, just a big one for the whole bed, couldn't sleep until 3 am, and just after I slept, from nothing the TV turns on by itself at full volume, for 2 times. I did have 2 nights reserved, but, used only one. Could not take another sleepless night.

Awful - unsafe
Awful stay, car got broken into in car park, not a safe area - avoid! Police not interested, completely ruined our trip, had to drive all the way to Portugal without a window. Hotel not English speaking, so no support, we spoke a little Spanish but not enough clearly.

Great hotel for a stopover - will use again.
We stayed at Hotel La Sierra on the journey through France down to southern Spain. Situated on the southbound side of the main road about half an hour's drive from Malaga it was a useful stopping point for the night. We had a very warm welcome, perhaps improved by me trying out my poor Spanish which I think was appreciated. Monserrat in reception couldn't have done more for us. Previous comments have implied that the accommodation was adequate and the food was limited however we were given a larger room than expected, a heater was on in the room (January) to warm it before our arrival, and we had a great view across the countryside from the front of the building. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows available. We booked half board for ease, as there is not a lot else, other than another hotel, nearby. The evening meal was a typical "menu del dia", including very pleasant first and second course, a small desert and a glass of good wine (and bread rolls) - so not overly special but more than adequate. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria as two coach loads of Asian tourists had been in the restaurant earlier and the helpful receptionist said "the coffee is better in there". The place was buzzing with locals by the time we went for breakfast but the staff made us very welcome - great to see a place popular with locals, you know the standard is OK. More of a Spanish breakfast, so if you want a full English maybe it's not ideal for you. We will definately go back

God one night stay
Great reception. All staff welcoming. Quality hotel finish & furnishing. Comfortable room bed and bathroom. Good dinner - tasty food, good service. Breakfast a little crowded!

You need to speak Spanish to stay here.
Good clean, large room with comfortable beds. No member of staff spoke English - not a problem, but they made no effort to help with communication. We eventually spoke French to them. Breakfast was in the adjacent café and again you had to speak Spanish to have anything other than coffee and a sweet pastry. Parking good in front of hotel.

Very nice Spanish Hotel - local people flock there. Spanish food at reasonably prices On its own off main motorway so there were a lot of coach tourists but that was not a problem.

Nice hotel, but too far out of town.
We arrived in Antequera by train. It cost almost 20 euros to get to the hotel by taxi. If you are travelling by car, it would be a great place to stay. If travelling by train, it's costly to get to and from the hotel. The staff was great. Very helpful. The room was clean and nice. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel. It seems many travelers stop at this restaurant on their way through the area, so expect a delay in getting served in the mornings.

Hotel La Sierra - a pleasant stay in El Torcal
The hotel is ideally located for anyone who wants to explore Antequerra, El Torcal and the surrounding towns and villages. The service is perfect, finding the hotel is easy and the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel got all the things right.

Hotel itself was nice, clean and quiet but located directly on highway rest stop. Absolutely nothing around hotel so there was nothing to do. (Don't get there too early.) Cafeteria dinner was suprisingly good and inexpensive but breakfast (included) was a coffee, orange juice and a bulky roll with jam.

The hotel is fine for accomodation but is signposted off the main road as a "service area" and is used as such with dozens of people in and out all day. No designated restaurant area for guests and you have to fight for space with travellers. Food mediocre.

La ubicación buena porque está al lado de la autovía, a través de mi ventana veía poneros, el aire fresco, la habitación amplia y le pude poner la temperatura que me apetecía, cama cómoda aunque almohadas muy finas, baño completo con bañera, una tele con plasma y una mesa perfecta para trabajar, que es lo que necesitaba. El wifi era malo pero me dieron un router específicamente para que pudiera trabajar, así que no puedo pedir más.

Weet dat een 4* hotel in Spanje niet een 4* hotel in Nederland is, maar bij het leger des Heils is de accommodatie nog beter. Geen ontbijtbuffet maar 1 croissant met kaas of ham en een kopje thee of koffie en dat was het. Het enige wat vers was, was de jus orange. Diner bijgeboekt keuze uit varkensvlees of kip en meer vet dan vlees. Mijn man wilde de 4* op de muur eraf halen ongelooflijk slecht. Als hotel.com dit als een4* hotel accepteert wil ik niet weten wat een 3 * inhoud. Wij reizen veel in Spanje maar nog nooit zo slecht hotel. ABSOLUUT GEEN AANRADER. Voor 1 nacht doorreis oké maar dan geen eten doe dit liever onderweg elders. SLECHT SLECHT SLECHT

Es un hotel muy agradable, silencioso y limpio.
Todo muy bien, pero sería interesante poner señalización clara en la carretera, a fin de que quien va desde Málaga sepa que ha de pasar hotel para llegar al acceso y que quien va desde Antequera sepa que ha de entrar antes en la zona de servicio. No tuve problemas, pero de pura suerte que tuve. No hay ningún letrero que ponga: HOTEL LA SIERRA... Por lo demás, impecable. 10 puntos

wel aan de snelweg maar daar heb geen last van!
Het hotel ligt aan de snelweg, daar heb je verder geen last van maar ik begreep de ligt verbaasde vraag bij de reactie of we echt twee nachten wilden blijven. Dat was waarschijnlijk niet de gewoonte. Het hotel is verder prima.

Geeignet zum Zwischenstopp.
Es handelt sich mehr um eine Autobahnraststätte, allerdings mit sehr gutem Ausblick..... Die 4 Sterne sind wohl in Ordnung, allerdings gab es kein Buffet, da kaum Gäste da waren. Statttdessen Frühstück in der Raststätte, war ok. Wir haben dort nur die ersten 2 Nächte verbracht, das war auch so geplant.

Alles in Ordnung - wer nicht in der Wüste einen Wellness Tempel erwartet.
