Absent service desk staff. Eventually arrived. Bluntly told to use touch screen to enter my vehicle details, if I "didn't want to get a fine".
Hotel smelled. The room had a sticker saying that it had been sanitized - I doubt very much it had even been cleaned. The bath was full of soap scum. The sink (apart from having two different taps) had hair in it. The bedside table had crisp crumbs, and there was some sort of sticky brown substance on the dressing table. The chairs were threadbare and dirty. The room smelled stale like the caravans I stayed in as a kid in the 80's.
The outside of the hotel was so disheveled, it looked abandoned. To describe this place as tired would be an understatement - dilapidated is closer the mark.
I paid en extra £15 for breakfast. I was told (in the morning) that there were no breakfasts and that the kitchen was closed. I was also told that I should ask Hotels.com for a refund. After called the hotel to confirm, I was told I could have a £5 refund for breakfast. I said this wasn't good enough as I had not received what I had paid for. They said I could have £8 "as a gesture of good will". Terrible, horrible place. Avoid!
