Visitors between mid-May and mid-September will "enjoy" an Australian winter experience. The wood fire is generally sufficient to spread warmth beyond the living room into the bedrooms. It needs to be set to slow burn before heading off to bed, then re-set in the morning. Despite all that, it will be cold because Margaret River's overnight temperature can be cold. We Australians are used to it, of course.

Hotels.com were contacted soon after the guests checked out and after the cleaners noticed the broken window. The glaziers were immediately called in as new guests were arriving that same day. Their invoice for $295.00 (being the cost of replacing the broken glass) arrived 2 days later, at which time I communicated with the guest. I acknowledge it was a difficult situation, however there was no-one else in the vicinity and we can't imagine who else might have caused the damage.

We can't ask for a better score than 5 out of 5. Thank you for your kindness.

I understand that some city folk feel the need for security screens and alarms, however we're located on a bush block. The only critters around at night are kangaroos and possums, so security screens are something of an overkill. When I visit, I sleep, very soundly, with the windows open.

The region surrounding Bussells Bushland Cottages is quite safe and our cottages are secure. It's sometimes hard for visitors to contemplate, however this relaxed lifestyle is the way life should always be.

We charge the minimum level for 1 or 2 persons sharing one bedroom, plus extra bed charges where 2 persons require separate rooms. We've found this to be the fairest method - based on the user pays structure.

Our cottages are simple, yet comfortable...some refer to the experience as being "glamping" in the bush. And yes, we're a gazetted "Land for Wildlife" property.
