남섬여행을 위해 페리타고 건너와 1박 묵었습니다. 픽톤은 대부분 그냥 거쳐가는 곳이라 그런지 조그만 마을이었는데, 비싸지않은 가격에 조용하게 쉴수있었습니다. 깔끔하게 정돈된 곳으로 친절한 안내도 좋았습니다.

If you are traveling on the ferry from Wellington this is a convenient place to stay, but the parking is for mountain goats only. The motel is set on a steep hill, making the views very nice, but being disabled I had difficulty controlling my suitcase between the parking spot I was given and our room. A nice Aussie lady help me get my case back to the car. The whole place was also a bit run down and in need of modernizing.

VERY difficult parking arrangement. Very steep and twisted drive up to a parking space. View of the harbor was great after the treacherous parking. Motel overall was a bit shabby. Needs a refresh.

We really loved this motel. We stayed two nights, on either end of walking the Queen Charlotte Track. The managers were so nice and stored our bags for us during our walk. Both of our rooms were huge with a very comfortable bed and couch. We also had a lovely balcony with a beautiful view of the harbor and sounds (best from our first room which was on the top level and still pretty great from our second room one level down). The little kitchenette was perfect for making tea and coffee in the morning before we wandered down to town for breakfast (the Village Bakeriji is the BEST!). One thing to note: there is no AC but we kept the windows open at night and the breeze off the water cooled things down. The location is excellent, just a 3-4 minute walk to restaurants and the water taxis. We didn't have a car with us but they do have free onsite parking. The driveway is a bit steep. One fun note: the TV package that they have includes an MTV 80s channel. It was a fun find and we enjoyed watching it.

Views are great from the front of the hotel. Parking is a challenge as it’s uphill (steep) and the spots allocated are tight.

We booked the budget room because we were only in Picton for the night. There are much more convenient motels on the high street. I would not choose to stay here again.

The property was in a great location with very good views of the harbour. We were on the lower level, and unfortunately quite a lot of street/traffic noise. The mattresses are probably due for an update too.

Clean and tidy. Nice view over the bay and just minutes away from the centre of town and the cafe and restaurant. Ideal for the ferry terminal again just minutes away.

It was easy to walk to the harbour and the view of the harbour from the room was unbelievable.

Decent accomodation with nice view
We had a pleasant stay at this accomodation. Exterior is not the most attractive, but room was spacious, clean and had a nicely stocked kitchen. Bed comfort was OK, but not fantastic. All rooms have an adequate balcony with view of harbour. Steep climb on the property up to rooms and very bumpy if you are transporting rolling luggage up or down without the use of a car or taxi (ferry pedestrians, for example). We had a windy morning and the windows don’t have the best seal.

We were on the top floor king bed suite so a lovely view in 3 directions. Kitchenette was well supplied and room was relatively large. Staff were cooperative and congenial. Thanks, Lady Di.

The 2 bed unit was excellent for two couples and the staff kindly let us check in early when we arrived as the room had been cleaned. The only issue with the room is some simple maintenance things - the water filter spout was missing, the hot water didn’t run consistently and the tv downstairs only received whatever the upstairs tv was viewing. Otherwise excellent position near town and very friendly service.
