The staff were welcoming but the accommodation was 'tired'- room facilities and decor need an upgrade. There are no locks on windows, so it is not possible to have a window open for ventilation. Restaurant was closed.

Love the location and the view from the room, staff were friendly and the resturant was nice How ever the master beds were very uncomfortable and felt every spring on the mattress (king suite), bathrooms need a spruce up as they are quite aged.

Cleanliness and staff excellent. Parking was a bit tight. We had a 4x4 and could barely open up the doors with the cars next to us. Showerheads in rooms were terrible. They need to upgrade to a slider shower.

Facility was a nice surprise, restaurant a-top the hotel was probably our best meal in Picton and Carol at check-in was especially helpful.

On arrival receptionist told us about restaurant and need to book etc. On checking into room there was a note "your room will not be serviced during your stay." Paying over NZ$300 per night would have expected room to be serviced. Motel is a bit tired with no air conditioning and a balcony which was not private. Did not enjoy the cigarette smell from room next door. Booked a spa room but didn't expect the shower over the spa bath which was not great. Having visited Picton many times before this will be our first and last booking at this motel.

This hotel was a lovely find. We took the Interislander ferry and it was just a short 5 minute drive. We arrived after normal check in hours but because I had prepaid with Expedia it was no problem to make arrangements to pick up my hotel key. They left it in a convent spot that was easy for me to locate. In the morning we checked out and had a chance to chat with the staff. Incredibly friendly and helpful with suggestions we had asked for. 10/10 would recommend!

We were happy with our one night stay at the Picton Beachcomber Inn and would recommend to all. Checkin was handled in a friendly and efficient manner. Our room was spacious, clean, light and airy. Bed was comfortable and sheets were crispy fresh! We would stay again if we are in this neck of the woods in future.

We have stayed here before and are pleased to stay here again. We were disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open on the day we were there, but understand. We had a very nice meal downtown.

I loved this hotel. Great location with a view of the marina and ferry terminal. Very close to the ferry terminal. Dinner was great with again views of the marina.

Amazing view of Picton Harbor! Manager Suzette was always helpful with suggestions for dinner and things to do. Whalers Restaurant (in the Inn) was super…make reservations.

Very nice hotel on the harbor. The staff at the front desk was very nice and upgraded our room to a suite. We had a mini fridge and even little stove with all the kitchen accessories you would need to cook in. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant but heard good things.

Great Location
Excellent Location and Scenic Views from Room 301, but Slightly Expensive at $300 per night. Despite the sign indicating a refurbishment in 2013, the property appears a bit worn and could benefit from some updating.

The staff are amazing and happy to chat! They even went out of their way to find a spare Samsung phone charger for me. The room was spotless and had excellent facilities! The bed was very comfortable and I had the best sleep ever. Amazing views of the marina and up through the sounds (just like a postcard ) Fabulous deck with comfortable chairs for some fresh air. We loved our stay!

I stayed the night there before catching the ferry to Wellington, a nice walking distance into town and has lovely view of the waterfront at the back end decks

The location of the property was good, easy walking into the township great view out onto the Harbour. Our room was terribly serviced, I could understand if it was a bit of a rush to get this ready but we checked in well after check in time, dirty dishes in the sink in the bathroom etc, when you Pay $250 for the night you would expect to walk into a place that doesn't look the last people just left, won`t be staying here again

We are sorry for your room not being correctly cleaned upon your arrival. As mentioned, when you advised us of this error, upon your departure an apology was given. Our new housekeeper has been advised of the error they made and we hope that this does not occur againg. Once again we appologise for the error.

This place was beautiful! Our room was extremely clean and lots of ammenities. Very close to downtown. Plan to stay here again on our way back through Picton.
