We are a openly published as a 3 star - we are cheap and cheerful. There are very few 3 star motels and people often go for the cheap rate but expect 4 and 5 star motel service.Its not what we do.

Hi Jo - Sorry you couldnt check in early - Its a small Motel and the few rooms being vacated were still being cleaned at that hour of the morning. Normal check in is 1230. If you had noted an early arrival on the on line booking we could have planned for it.When you complained about no tea and coffee replenishment I wasnt being rude when I pointed out that your not wanting Staff to service your room meant that would happen. Not sure why you didnt want our Staff in your room - they are long serving and trustworthy - hope it wasnt because they are not white.And yes I did ask you to keep the noise down - its not fair on other guests when one party is disturbing the remainder. I hope this clears up some of your concerns, and wish you good luck in your future travels.

Why would a Guest be 'miserable' for 3 whole days and nights and yet say nothing to the owner, Manager or cleaning staff who are available at the Reception Office literally 6 meters from the Guests Unit ? So I will fact check this review. This Guest asked for an extra bed so as to sleep 4 people in the same room. This makes the per head daily rate only a little more than a backpacker rate. The Unit was serviced every day - new towels, restocked tea, coffee etc, soaps, toilet paper with spares in the Vanity, milk in the fridge, Beds had electric blankets and the room has an oil column heater for Guest use. It is the middle of summer. Most other Guests were using the fans to cool down during Aswhins stay. This review is so markedly different from all previous ones that it demonstrates Aswhin was annoyed by something, but for some reason didnt say anything, didnt fill in the Guest feedback form in the Unit and decided that regardless of accuracy and deserved or not, everything is no good. It is rare but sometimes a Guest does this. It is disheartening for myself as Owner but comes with the territory - 99.9 % of Guests are very good Folk and I enjoy having them stay.

Almost all Motels are 4 or 5 star - consequently, people unconsciously expect 4 and 5 star service at every Motel - Raymar is a 3 star motel. The price is much lower than 4 and 5 star motels and the service may not be the same. Raymars motto is "spend a night not a fortune". A daily service is bathroom linen replaced, tea and coffee replenished etc but beds are not made each day. Many families travel at Christmas and an extra bed is there for them - this Guest Unit had a large family booking before and after this stay - but I would have removed the extra bed if this Guest had asked and returned the table and chairs in its place. Moving beds in and out daily to reconfigure 9 different rooms to match the exact Guest numbers is very hard on furniture and staff.

Thanks for the positive comments - I must have forgotten to mention the two big communal kitchens at the ends of the blocks - amending my intro notes now !

Studio Units have a Kitchenette with everything but a stove. The Jug , toaster and microwave are powered by a multi plug safety device and can all be used together. There are two additional large fully equipped separate kitchens either end of the units for the bigger cooking jobs. These kitchens are well stocked with pots, pans, bowls, frypans, additional microwaves, tasters, kettles and appliances, stoves and extractor hoods. Units have limited pots and bowls to prevent Guests cooking pungent and lasting scented foods in Units ; the smell of which remains long after the Guest has departed. The Office is attended at all times and any advice or items requested can be supplied on the spot.
