The gardens and the whole grounds were beautiful and filled with hidden surprises with rooms tucked away in all number of nooks and crannies amongst groves of scented bushes,roses,palms, herbs and cactuses etc etc. some areas were tired and definitely in need of repair but this did not destract from the charm and character of this wonderful retreat.

Has potential to be a top luxury resort - needs to improve its customer service and maintain its facilities better. Should do a better job of managing tours and guest requests - for instance should provide detailed tour information and costs to guests instead of having to ask overwhelmed staff. Also room had broken furniture, fixtures and paint coming off walls. Otherwise resort is quite beautiful and a uniquely designed and laid out property.

The Source is a beautiful escape situated in an isolated area, roughly 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech city centre. I visited in November 2019 and although the weather wasn’t the best, I couldn’t recommend the hotel highly enough. As a female solo-traveller I was very nervous about visiting Marrakech but I felt instantly relaxed after speaking to Toufik who worked on reception. He helped me plan my transportation from the airport to the hotel and once I arrived, he went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. All the staff were warm and friendly despite the language barrier and this added to the feeling of being safe and welcome. The hotel itself is breath-taking with its magical gardens, quirky rooms, exquisite spa. I stayed in the Natural Mystic suite and it’s as lovely as it looks in the pictures. On my final day I treated myself to some spa treatments – I love going to luxury spas in London, but this surpassed anything I’ve experienced previously. This truly is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Special thanks again to Toufik!

It’s in the middle of nowhere and the roads to get there are getting build but it makes up for for everything once there. Absolutely gem, wonderful people, well done

Wir kamen spät Abends im Hotel an. Die Dame am Empfang hat uns nicht besonders herzlich Empfangen. Wir wurden über das Gelände zu unserem Zimmer geführt. Das normale Zimmer ist etwas klein, das Türschloss war nicht mehr ganz intakt, im Badezimmer hatte es Ameisen und die Ankleide war staubig. Das gesamte Gelände war wie eine Oase und erinnerte an einem botanischen Garten. In der Mitte hat es einen grossen & wunderschönen Pool. Auf dem Restaurant war eine Dachterrasse worauf man Essen und schöne Abende verbringen konnte. Im SPA war kein Mensch und wurde auch kaum besucht, was etwas enttäuschend war. Das Versprechen, dass man Yoga machen kann, war natürlich nur auf Bezahlung möglich. Das Personal war nicht sehr aufmerksam, hat kaum gesprochen und wirklich nur das nötigste gemacht. Unser Aufenthalt war im gross und ganzem Ok; wir würden das Hotel jedoch nicht weiterempfehlen.

We booked 3 nights and only stayed the first night. The service is at best a 3 star on a good day. They told me the pool was heated and it was freezing. There is nothing to do but sit by the pool and it’s 30 Mins from anything else to do. The staff consistently gave me wrong information. They only have 1 menu for lunch and dinner so you will get sick of the 10 things quite quickly. I never review but it was so disappointing for the price and the level I expected. Stay at a riad and go on adventures like camping in the desert. They even tried to talk me out of going camping and it was the best experience ever! A true luxury 5 star experience at The White Camel lodge!

Hello! Thank you for your review but I am sorry to inform you that all the information you have mentioned are not correct. 1. You have booked 3 nights and you have stayed 2 (not 1), the last night you have arranged -- by yourself-- to spend a night at Agafay Desert, when you arrived there you emailed us and ask us that you want to come back early morning and have the Suite for the whole day instead of spending the third night in it; we have refused simply because we have another guest coming In the same Suite. 2. We do not inform our guests that the swimming pool is heated during October because the weather is hot and we do heat it starting the 2nd week of November when we need to. 3. You did indeed came back to our Hotel on your last day and enjoyed your time by the pool and in the spa – you did a treatment for you and for your daughter – then you did not pay you’re the bill you said that your CC is working and may be a problem of connection, you gave us a copy for your CC that we have tried later on with no success which means the CC is not valid, so please pay your bill!!!! The room decor was very unique, hand painted design for that particular room. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The spa was breathtaking.

Connect to the Source
I was looking for a sunny hide-out where I could (connect myself to the source of all) chill, relax and forget about everything. This sounds easy to achieve, but not for a picky person like me who always automatically pays attention to the smallest details. And I must say that this resort is full of small, beautiful and perfect details. Including the staff which I noticed is trained very well and have the perfect attitude for the guests. I could feel that the staff love to do their work and this is very important cause no matter how beautiful a place is, its the staff that is representing the place... I also had the privilege to stay in two different type of rooms and I love the fact that I felt home immediately. I love the style and decoration of this hotel and I am making plans to go back to The Source cause why change a winning team ;)

Perfekt hotell utanför, ta hyrbil så att man kan åka in till marrakech eller andra ställen. Personalen var superhärlig och ägaren var där och hälsade på alla. Poolen grym! Mkt barnvänligt även om det är lite party. Ta med hörselskydd för små barn :). Bra spa!

Séjour mitigé
L'hôtel est dans un endroit loin de la ville, un vrai havre de paix. La décoration de la chambre, du restaurant et du bar de la piscine est très sympa, alliant l'ancien et le moderne dans des couleurs très harmonieuses, vraiment bravo à l'architecte d'intérieur. La chambre que nous avions est une suite de 80 mètres carrés, salon et chambre à coucher dans une pièce inondée de soleil, avec des fenêtres partout ouvrant sur une terrasse privative grande et agréable orientée à l'ouest et pleine de soleil pour bronzer ou profiter du beau temps. La salle de bain comporte un bain et INR douche séparée et est très grande. Le petit déjeuner reste très simple, du pain + beurre et confiture avec quelques biscuits, fruits et yaourt 0%. Jus d'orange frais et billes de fromage. Bien sûr on peut commander des œufs mais ne pensez pas trouver un buffet de 3km comme dans les grands Hotels. Le dîner par contre est à déconseiller, le choix est limité sur une ardoise qui comporte souvent un plat ou 2 marocain et un autre européen pour un prix très cher vu la quantité servie!! Le personnel est serviable mais le responsable a la réception est tout de même malhonnête vu qu'il a voulu nous refacturer le prix de la chambre déjà payé sur un site de voyagiste.

Nous nous permettons de préciser que notre carte restaurant est limitée car elle ne comporte que des produits frais et de qualité. Elle comporte des entrées, des desserts, et de manière générale un plat végétarien, un plat marocain et un plat international. Notre carte « pool house » est également proposée en bord de piscine et au bar et offre également des produits frais et variés. Concernant votre remarque sur la facturation, soyez sans crainte, si nous vérifions les modalités de paiement de nos clients, nous ne les facturons pas deux fois. Merci encore sincèrement d’avoir pris le temps de vos remarques. Nous espérons vous recevoir très prochainement avec une carte qui saura vous ravir.

Lovely Relaxed Hotel in Lush Surroundings
It is an oasis of calm a few miles away from the chaos of the Medina. We chose the hotel as we wanted somewhere relaxing and quiet and planned to stay at the hotel for the whole of our trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the reception manager and his assistant. The owner is around the whole time and is very amiable, if you need anything at all they will make sure it happens. The gardens are beautiful as is the pool and surrounding area. The spa is possibly the best I've used and I've been to quite a few.
