I booked movenpick hotel - the hotel changed to a different cheap hotel - it was horrible - they did not live up to movenpick standards! Expedia should have offered the possibility of cancellation when they changed from movenpick to this cheap hotel with improper management & service!

Overall staff was very efficient to respond to our needs, extremely helpful staff. When we entered to the room, it had a smell of a food. Over all hotel condition is not upto par reminds me a hotel of 1980’s which has not been upgraded. Hotel needs a major face lift. Breakfast buffet was good with wide verity of food selection. Location is convenient about 10-15 min walk to Masjid an Nabawi. Not much dining/restaurant option outside the hotel area, unless you are willing to walk 15-20 min.

Excellent Location. 10 minuted walk to Masjid e Nabwai gate which is close to Rawda of Rasul SWT.. The room was clean and bed was comfortable.. The hotel stuffs are also very helpful

Old and dated rooms, the bath room is in a bad conditions, smelly and needs serious maintenance. The level of cleanliness is below par, no general cleaning taking place.

Visit to Masjid-e-nabvi
Very close to Masjid-e-nabvi. Good service. Upgrade to a suit without extra charges. Give us 2:30pm checkout. Delicious breakfast buffet. Recommend to everyone who is coming to Madina and visiting Masjid-e-nabvi

The location is very convenient. Only 1 minute walk to haram. But the service is not so good. Had to wait hours to get my bags down to reception. Room key stopped working several times and had to go down to get new keys.

The lady at check in was lovely. She gave us a bigger room and very helpful. But overall the hotel is very out dated. Our room was not very clean. Dust and mould in the bathroom.

There are 2 Movenpick hotels If you don’t have problem walking this one is good choice but for elderly and people with walking problems , stay away from this hotel. Even though it says 3 minutes walk to the mosque Its only to boundary of Haram and ladies section is is too far away. I met few people from US and Canada who had similar problem that they picked wrong Movenpick. I think Expedia should clarify more about distance to mosque rather then boundary of Harum

Terrible stay
The room and hotel are so dated but I wish that was the only issue. The stench of damp can be smelt in the corridor, the sofa bed that i slept on was stained with God knows only what. Definitely not worth the star rating

Property is really old. Needs a major overall. Cleanness is very poor, especially in washroom. There was always a bad smell coming from both of the washrooms. We found cockroaches in one of the washrooms. Bath tub was leaking in one of the washrooms. Beds are still in good shape but the sofa bed in not conformable. My daughter was using sofa bed. She developed backpain sleeping on it. The property is on opposite side to the haram. Not so friendly for ladies, as to reach ladies prayer area, you need to walk double as it is located way down to imam standing boundary. Main grocery store like Bin Dawood is far far away from this property. Better to hire taxi to reach there. Nothing much greater in this property, we never stay here in future.

Great place to stay, very close to the mosque, resturants and shopping. There was loud construction noises due to buildings being erected next door but nothing the hotel can do about that!

When I arrived they didn’t have my room with three twin I asked for towels at 10 PM didn’t receive .i have been in other hotels there service was excellent and clean .

Great Hotel right near the Masjid al Nabawi
Amazing hospitality by the reception staff, cleaners, room service, and also the waiters at the breakfast restaurant. Though the shower facilities are slightly dated, the location of this Hotel is right in the vicinity of Masjid al Nabawi. We were able to pray 5 times at the mosque with no effort, took us less than 5 minutes to walk to the mosque. Before I reached the hotel I had a feeling I will have to take a taxi, each time I would want to pray at the great mosque. However, it was proven wrong. It's simply within walking distance. Having a StarBucks around the corner was an added benefit. We went to Madinah by train from Makkah. A taxi ride cost us 70 SAR to be dropped off at this hotel. We were 6 of us in one large 7-seater SUV.

Beautiful hotel and beautiful people! I wish I booked my Makkah hotel through Expedia (zam zam in Makkah cancelled my hotel even though I checked in online 😡). Everyone should book through Expedia!

Worn out carpets, not enough light in the room, electric kettle and hair dryer did not work, the restaurants on the property were closed, no shops or food shops close. Reception did not provide information about breakfast or the internet. A property running on auto pilot!

Does not worth it
This propert need serious renovation Dirty and stinky carpets,very old furniture,the lady who is checking in the breakfast was very rude. The charges were ridiculously high. Very disappointed and would never stay there ever again and would not recommend this proprty to anyone.
