great location
located CBD. large, neat motel, but little smoggy atmosphere likes it doesnt refresh the air for a while. but still reasonable price with full optioned equipment. gonna visit again.

위치 괜찮고 직원들 친절함.
일요일에만 하우스키핑 안 해주는거 빼고는 다 좋았음. 그리고 물도 체크인 첫날만 공짜로 두 개 줌. 근처 Wilson's parking 주차장에 주차하면 호텔에서 할인 쿠폰 주는데 16달러임. 이게 나름 싼거여서 호텔 직원들이 엄청 자랑했음. 직원들이 진짜 친절하고, 리셉션이 저녁 8시에 닫아서 그 이후에 도착할거면 호텔에 미리 연락해야함. 그럼 들어오는 방법 알려줌. 전체적으로 만족함.

The building is too old and if you arrive after 5pm there's Nobody's at the réception.Clean but too old. Excellent location.

Mold in the shower- a lot if dust in surfaces, beside sink. Blanket was not washed and I requested a new one but it smelled very used. Hotel couldn’t help this but construction across the street all day and night. Great location though. Hot water, air conditioning and the elevator worked so overall okay.

I am usually easy to please but this room was awful. Bed was itchy (scabies?) Room was noisy. Curtains let too much light in. Faint unpleasant odour. Staff/support was not contactable - I tried calling three separate times to get sheets changed, and in person at 8am. Simply unacceptable.

The room was tiny & felt dusty and out dated. My booking said "twin bed" but the room only had a single bed. As a young female staying on my own this location is no longer idea due to the increase in homeless presence in swanston and flinders st. Heading home late, after a night out on the town would not have felt safe unfortunately.

The City Square Motel now has Netflix, You Tube, Multiple TV Channels etc. I might have to stay here more often!

Continent location on Swanson Street. Easy access to most attractions. The interior itself had seen better days, particularly the bathroom. Black mould in the bath shower was most noticable. Black mould inside the kettle, thankfully had microwave to heat water.

Room poor. Noisy air conditioner. Night lights not working. Only one rubbish bin. No cutlery ie spoons to stir coffee! No air extractor in bathroom toilet. Toilet paper holder empty, shower head broken.

I have not done a review anywhere before but I feel I need to save people from staying here. This motel was the worst place I have ever stayed on a night away anywhere in the world. I booked one night in June 2023 to stay in Feb 2024 for the Taylor Swift concert. The pictures looked good and the price was $250 as I got in quite early. I’m unsure if I got a terrible room because I booked before prices went up more, but I came so close to leaving the minute after I checked in. The hallways and rooms smelt like a strange cleaning solution and I could deal with that but what was in the room is not ok. I have photos of the below things: * the latch to securely lock the door was broken and not there. * the windowsill and window was mouldy and rusted (also caked with gross dirt/mould) * the carpet had been worn through * the bath had mould all around it and was falling apart. I came home from the concert wanting to rest my feet in a shower but took one look and decided I didn’t want to get in there. I told my mum that the place made me feel unsafe and she reassured me I would only be there for a few hours to sleep. Worst place ever and should be reported to the health authorities!

Location was perfect, staff were helpful. Perfect if you don't need a fancy hotel. Not a quiet location though but if tired enough it doesn't matter.

Website says 24hr reception, but staff hard to get hold of before 2pm. Room was not like the photos on website. Extremely dusty - obviously not vacuumed to the edges. Air conditioner didn’t work, there were 2 coolers and one portable fan in the room One set of cutlery for two people. Bed was okay, lots of toiletries. Table but only one chair Not good

The rooms and halls needs a good lick of paint, new lights and the carpets needs a good vacuum and steam clean but the linen and towels were clean, we just needed somewhere to sleep and shower

The images are very old. Property not clean. Had last visitors lefovers in fridge. The rooms were decent size but very unclean, mould in shower and on sink. Not sure when last cleaned behind toilet. Marks on all walls. Stains on spare balnket that were questionable. This has the potential to be an amzing place if given some love and care. It had a back packer feel but not as clean.The AC not working had to climb on furniture yto turn off as could not adjust temp settings. Position of hotel amazing as right in the middle if city close to everything. Paid for queen room but got a double. Could touch sides of bed if stretched arms out. Very disappointed with cleanliness as can deal with dated and old if clean.Feels as if take no pride in the presentation. Larger than average hotel room.

This place was very close to the city which was very convenient. Had a working air con and tv, was also cheap. BUT it was a little dodge. The bathroom was probably the worst. There was no fan so it was mouldy, the shower wouldn't stand up on its own and water would get out of the shower even with the curtain there. The hotel itself had a bit of an off smell too? Made for a good experience though :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Fantastic guys at reception who made me feel very welcome. Location is very central with public transport (trams) at your doorstep and a very short walk to the train. Shops, restaurants also at your doorstep. The room I ended up in was spacious, clean and tidy. Good size tv and amenities including microwave. Good size compact bathroom with big shower. My room did struggle with wifi however wifi is readily available throughout the cbd and shopping centres for free. The Hotel probably does need an update but that means increased prices. I'm always out during the day, so all I need is a comfortable and safe central place to stay, and this I definately recommend and look forward to returning next year.

TV reception was hopeless. Could not access the ABC or SBS and the buttons on the TV were hard to operate. Took me at least 10 minutes to set a station and volume as the buttons interacted with each other. Windows and sills were filthy and drawers were broken when I pulled them out and the wardrobe was stupid. However, I did have a comfortable bed and a warm shower; I appreciated the toiletries and good linen on the bed and in the bathroom. Fix the TV before I arrive again as I have several nights booked at this hotel. I know it is cheap in price, but customers should still be entitled to good facilities in their rooms to make it a memorable stay and give it a high rating.

Room was ok for a one night stay. Very basic room with a slight odor. Halls were unclean and the entrance was worse. Lights broken in the room Reception not open when we arrived mid afternoon and strange that everyone's keys were in the same lockbox.

Do not stay here. Outdated 20YO AC through the wall or window, very mouldy shower, i have not seen receptionist, self check in via the room key being collected in the safe box via pin, same as check out.
