An absolute nightmare. First of all the hotel wasn’t even the same name it’s advertised on Expedia. The pictures were from a long time ago too because they don’t accurately represent it’s current state. This place looked like a crack house inside. After checking in (it was late and we had little choice at thos point) we needed to request a room change almost immediately because the first room was so dirty. The bed looked like they just folded sheets over, there was garbage on the floor, and there was fresh blood and other stains on the sheets. Checking into the second room wasn’t much better. Dead bugs, clogged toilet, rancid smoke smell, and no hot water. We couldn’t find accommodations nearby and ended up sleeping in our clothes on top of the sheets because we were so grossed out. It’s a crime they are in business making money by taking advantage of people, just shameful.

Nightmare hotel
When I booked this room, I went off the pictures and the average rating. However when we arrived it was late at night checked in about 10:30 and trash cans were over filled. Walkways were filthy. Carpeting in hallways and rooms were filthy it seemed as if there had been no vacuuming in over 6 months at least. Ice cream spilled in the hallways. Our room only had one towel, and when we asked for additional towels we were informed that we could not get any more towels until 9am. We ended up not unpacking anything and made other accommodations at a different hotel in the area. We paid about double the price but very much worth it. I would not stay at the Quinta Inn Marrillville again.

Horrible Place to Stay
My family has been coming to this hotel for years and we will not be back. There was no room service, gnats, and we barely had towels(thank goodness we bring our own). I had to ask for a mop to clean up the bathroom floor from the front desk(which they tried to give me a dirty one). We took out my family's trash just to keep it clean. I wouldn't recommend unless you need a pet friendly place for your animal(s).

Daughter plays travel softball… we stay in tons of places all over the country, this was by far the worst… the room stunk and water and phone did not even work (not joking) for long periods of time. Stay anywhere else, you won’t regret it.

Once a great facility. It appears it is being let run down because it is going to be torn down, like everything around it. What a shame. It was so nice in the past.

The property was bought out and is no longer LaQuinta. Property repairs— ice machine not working, some building maintenance, etc. staff undergoing booking issues and room assignments a complete mess at checkin.

I never write reviews & don't really read them but here is my exception. Water was rusty then no water then it was grey. Smoke alarm because of boiler problem. Shady people outside. Creepy hallways. Very uncomfortable- I checked out early & moved to a different hotel. It was worth the expense

Esse não é um La Quinta Inn. O hotel, aparentemente, faliu e estão tentando recuperá-lo, mas com outro nome. A limpeza é terrível, o odor é péssimo, a sensação de insegurança é alta, enfim, JAMAIS voltarei.
Nome La Quinta inn está coberto e há uma faixa com outro nome.

No hot water
Went there and was confused on why all the signs were blocked out and why the hotel didn’t look like the pictures. Had a reservation for two rooms and they weren’t by each other even though I asked for it. My room didn’t have a microwave or refrigerator. The fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning because of a problem with a boiler. Didn’t have hot water for hours even though they knew there was a issue with the boiler that night because it was told to them by the firefighters. I had to check out because it was 12pm and still no hot water in my room or water in the other rooms. Hotel didn’t offer any help with the issue. Just said they don’t know when it would be on. It seemed they didn’t care. The hotel was filthy and smelled like urine. I feel I was fooled by the pictures.

We stayed there for 5 days and it was all bad starting off with no water when we checked in lefted for the evening and came in at 1230am still no water asked front desk and they said 30 min so end up getting ready for ned pulled bed covers back found pubic hair and dirty sheets so end up sleeping on top of bed the whole stay so next morning we up to go to a wedding event there was a water issue turned water on it was yellow then ran water until water was clear now there was no hot water had to shower in cold water 😤 and that’s not all over all this room smelled had to buy room deodorant tried changing towels had to wait over an hour since they only had enough towels per room non sense I’ve worked for Woodsprings so many years so I know we always had extra for the name of la Quinta inn they should have better service I would think so please people don’t waste your money and time go elsewhere no thanks for the stay

The lower of La Quinta. Merriville, IN
Room and hallways need a deep carpet cleaning. Smell of everything, animal pee, smoke, mold, etc. Room was unclean and have to buy items to make it more confortable. Aot of sewer flies inside, smelling of animal pee, and cob web at every angle of ceiling and corners. Bathroom was half clean due to not been wiped and foolr need a deep cleaning at corners. Airconditioning need to be keep on high as 63 to get smell lower to enough sleep. Will not recommend this location to anyone unless those conditions are fixed.

Should be condemned
No phone, no clock, broken coffee maker,water damage everywhere, dead bugs on window sill, refrigerator door broken, wall sockets don’t work,ice machine s broken, no shampoo (ran out),1towel, no decaf coffee for lobby(ran out), pump for swimming pool broken, musty moldy smells in hallways! I will never use Hotels.com again

There was a huge hole in the ceiling of the lobby leaking water which flooded the hall. Clearly it got into the room they chose for me. It reeked like mold and cat pee. The door leading outside by my room door was broken, so anyone could walk in.

El lugar apestaba a humedad, cigarrillo y marihuana al punto de que no se podía casi respirar, la alfombra estaba mojada por todos los pasillos, había caca de perro 🐕 en la entrada C. La habitación tenía la puerta abierta porque se había inundado y estaban esperando que se secara el baño estaba sucio y tube que salir a comprar productos para limpiar. “El desayuno” muy baja calidad, mal sabor y el área estaba apestoso y sucio, las mesas tenían manchas residuos de que algo se derramó y no lo limpiaron. Cuando volví en la noche todavía estaban sucias las mesas. No lo recomiendo y jamás volveremos a este lugar!.

Upon arriving at 530pm, the parking lot was mostly empty, felt a bit unsafe and needs work. An employee hanging outside, looked suspicious. The whole place needs some serious renovation both outside and inside. You can tell it's very old. The hallway smelled moldy and of weed and looked dirty and dingy. The room was decent but also needs work. I had some stains and stray hairs on the bedsheet. I wouldn't have stayed there for more than one night but since it was only one night, I beared it. I do not recommend and definitely would not stay there again. Should have just pay a little more for a different place.

This was probably the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It was so gross and smelled so bad, that I woke up at 6am to get out of it. The price being so cheap should have tipped me off on how run down it was.

WORST HOTEL EVER ITS A NIGHTMARE
They hotel was the worse hotel I been in my life will never stay there the hallways where super dirty garbage that wasn’t picked up I asked for clean towels never got them we had to open the window just to get clean air cuz there was mold plus the carpets where filthy dirty the whole intire hotel smelled like cigarettes… walking on the carpet with white socks with all the filthy dirty on carpet the bottom of my socks where black.. the door we came in was DOOR C the carpet was soak in water there was a water leak somewhere super dirty if there was 0 stars that’s what I would give them the pool was not clean we never got clean sheet for the 3 days I was there…. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY THERE AGAIN AND I DONT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO NOBODY THE PICTURES SAY DIFFERENT THEY NEED TO UPDATE THAT HOTEL WITH THE REAL DEAL OF A FILTHY DIRTY HOTEL

Worst room I've ever stayed in.
The TV didn't wirk. The room smelled of pot. I the room was awful oh, I didn't even so much as put my stuff down if it was dirty filthy smelled. I just drag all my stuff back down and canceled the stay with him it was a horrible place to stay.

Ewww, needs lots of work!
The hotel needs a MAJOR UPGRADE! One of the clerks did say that there was some kind of issues that water was leaking! She said that they were trying to figure out if it was leaky pipes, leaky roof, or what else it could be! There was a lot of mildewed holes in the ceiling, we were probably 10 rooms down the hallway & halfway to our room the carpet was sopping wet! Then for being a non smoking room, there were burn holes on the sides of the tub, some of the furniture & in the carpet! The carpeting in there had a weird damp feeling to the feet! The clerk said they had just gotten a new owner who was still working on upgrades! Not sure where they started, but I wasn’t impressed by anything other than the polite 2 women we talked to at the desk! It should probably be closed down til some of the remodel is done or tear it down & start from scratch!!!

Made our reservation 1 month in advance and then were called just before our arrival and told the King suite was unavailable and there were no other romms. After explaining our situation a king room was found. The floors in the room were dirty. There were insufficient towels and when I went to the desk I was told more towels would be brought when the cleaning staff arrived. This never happened. Since we travel with our animals we could not get another room in a different hotel. We had stayed at this hotel pre covid but will never stay there again.

You could not pay me to stay here again
I would never stay at this La Quinta Inn again. The pool had green water in it, with clumps of algae floating on the surface. The carpeting in the stairwells and corridors looked like it had not been vacuumed in a couple of weeks. The ice machine on our floor (the second) was completely trashed and inoperable. The ice machine on the first floor was intact, but not working. The cleanliness of our room was decent, but the beds had a minimal amount of sheets and blankets on them, and sleept in a sweatshirt to stay warm. The remote for the TV was very hit and miss when it came to changing channels or adjusting the volume, and we had to unplug the television to turn it off. We would turn it off with the remote, but it would come back on a few seconds after we thought we had turned it off. Finally, and this is a little thing compared to some of the others, but the closet had no clothes hangers in it. In addition, the fitness center was closed. I have stayed at other La Quinta Inn hotels in the past, but this one was horrible.

I was going to be late to check in. I called ahead for them to save my room. When I arrived at midnight they had given away my room and were totally booked. There were no other available rooms in any area hotel. I was without a place to stay. I slept in my car! They were rude and not even apologetic. They were out for a buck instead of taking care of their customers. Don’t stay there! I was so upset and disappointed.

Tv remote didn’t work! Not enough towels! Dirty towel left on back of b/r door for me to find! When asked for more towels, they were booked from night before, so I couldn’t get any for second night of my stay!! Had to Re-key the key to get inside my room, very Aggravating!

Just kinda gross everywhere. Beds are uncomfortable. Kinda place you feel like you need to check for bugs.

There is nothing I liked about my stay here, my money should be refunded. Our room is a fire hazard, furniture falling apart, no water for a shower, dirty disgusting rooms and hallways. One light fixture by the bed is held together with zip ties and you can see where the shade has been burned before. This building needs to be condemmed.

Wasn't really clean, we requested 2 extra towels as 2 we're in room and there was 4 of us never received, floor was wet in room from air conditioner, breakfast had a lot of missing pieces, coffee no sugar, bread no butter, juice machine no juice, bad milk 1st morning, front desk worker was asleep at the breakfast table, with a inappropriate dating show with children in dining area but he was asleep, I don't wake people I don't know and definitely not one with a gun in his waist band,

Horror movie setting
This was by far the worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had. The staff and check in was horrible, we didn’t even make it to the room because the hallway and surrounding areas of the building were so disgusting. Still fighting to get my refund. This hotel is what horror movies are made of.

Staff did their best, and were kind and helpful. The carpet was dirty and wet. Shower leaked,juice dispenser broken, waffles stuck to iron. Though non-smoking, smoke came through vent. Triggered allergies, hallways were dingy and smelly .Slept great on mattress.
