- It’s newly renovated. - Front desk is nice and helpful. - Very poor connection, literally no connection. - no fridge - no coffee maker or kettle, but staff brought me a kettle. - there is a microwave, but the cord is too short , I had to move it to be able to plugin somewhere else. - cover blanket looks old, there are small holes on the inner blankets - no chairs

This is under new management and they would be wise to not accept guests until the overhaul is complete. First room had a non functioning tv and the cold water tap in the bathroom fell apart on first use. Moved to another room. Dirty items under sink in kitchenette, old towels, joining door did not lock due to being kicked in in the past. No AC, very hot room. No cot available, even though we had booked for one. Friendly enough manager, but he did not know we were coming. And waaay over priced. Can’t recommend. Maybe better after they get the placed fixed up...?

It was close to amenities...did not have coffee, utensils or anything, no glasses or cups. The towels smelled sour like they were left in a washer for a long time before it was put in the dryer.

Awful Service, Booked 4 months in advance and they cancelled our room and did not let anyone know, Expedia or myself and told me the only way i would be able to get a room is if i paid more money... Would not recommend staying here.

1) Couldnt get a hold of them 2) No room service while there i know ran out of tp had to ask. Towels were not change and garbage wasnt emptied 3) Rates too high for 2 queen bed he was charging 149.00 for older hotel..no fridge, no air conditioner.

When we arrived the front desk told us our reservation had been cancelled due to a change in ownership and if we wanted to stay we'd be charged double the original rate. I did not stay.

The previous owner passed away and we just recently took over as the new owners as of July 25. It's been a rough transition with Expedia and all the online portals as the RCMP confiscated the previous owners cell phone - business phone number. Rooms in a definite need of upkeep and repair. Duct tape in the shower to seal gaps was kind of humorous. Main issue was their maid service. Arrived in room the first and the bed was not made up, arrived the second night and the bed was stripped and not made. Had left some items in the room and my water bottle that was left hidden under my items was removed. Buddy in another room said his items had all been moved and placed in his bag that was left in the room. Unprofessional cleaning crew, when we spoke to the management they were visibly upset that the crew they contract for this service is lacklustre. Was trying to do the trip economically— so you get what you pay for.

For the price a great place to stay. Stayed here before without any issues but this time the police we're banging on the the next door for almost 4 hours. Finally got to sleep at 3am.

The room was filthy. Garbage and people's old belongings underneath the beds. Moldy water in the kettle. The bed wasn't comfortable at all, maybe had two hours sleep. Won't e staying here again

I left after 1 hour. Beds have plastic wrap around box spring. I looked that up it is to prevent bed bugs. I tried to check out but the office was locked. When I called the number listed at the door the lady said they would not be back for 1 hour 45 mins. I left the key and called my credit card.

Lost confirmed reservation. Non smoking rooms stink of smoke. Many things in disrepair or missing. Should not even be listed on Expedia.

It was nice and clean but some things were in poor condition like no screen in the window and no handle on the bathroom faucet.

We had to go to the office for more toilet paper, there was no tissues, the room smelled of incense, and there was only one metal key. When we accidentally locked ourselves out they were not sure if there was another working key. However, we were able to be with our two little dogs and it was inexpensive. No in room coffee.

An absolute pig sty!
Motel owners/managers where out of town and arrived 2.5 hours after our check-in time.Motel rooms offered to us (3) all stunk of cigarettes and mold. One had not been cleaned and one was not what we booked and one had no TV, and none of the rooms had the heat turned on and we were offered a portable electric to warm the unit up. We refused to stay in this pig sty and continue to be treated poorly, and they refused to credit my account, citing we were refusing to stay there and where therefore cancelling our reservation too late!

Get what you pay for
Dive on the side of the Highway is the best way to describe the Sportsman. You want a cheap motel? Then the Sportsman is your place. Dirty glass in the kitchenette sink, 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. I let the hot water run for about 15 minutes before it became warm, no coffee filters for the coffee maker... Lucky thing I knew what I was getting into...

Very upset
-4 degrees and heater broken, drug dealer lives in one of the units and super loud all night. Mould in bathroom, outdated, leaking toilet, very unprofessional staff.

Kinda cool in the room.
The building isn't great. The whole wall shakes when closing the door from the outside. I could hear noises from other rooms. Clean and mostly comfortable.

It wasn't wheelchair accessible to get into the motel which I believe all motels should be. When we arrived the room wasn't ready. When we arrived they had no idea bout the booking or how long my stay was for even though it was prebooked. For two people staying in the room we were givin one facecloth and one hand towel. The stay was good the inside of the motel room was assessable with a walker .

Bugs everywhere.
If you like sleeping with bugs such as spiders, cockroaches and ants, this is the place for you. Remarkably unclean and dirty. Not to mention the staff wants absolutely nothing to do with you.

Basic place with no frills.
an ok place if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay on way thru town. The place was quite run-down in urgent need of repairs and upkeep. Appears the place has suffered from years of neglect. Ended up having to try 3 different rooms before finding an acceptable one. Only thing good I can say is that the beds were comfortable with clean bedding. Front office staff was not particularly helpful and looked like they hated their life and would rather be elsewhere.
