타오르미나의 중심부를 여행하기에 편리한 위치에 있고, 주변 전경 특히 멋진 야경을 다 바라볼 수 있는 높은 위치인 것이 매력적. 하지만 오래된 호텔이기에 시설이 노후되었고, 아침뷔페에 나오는 음식종류가 한정됨.

전망이 좋아요
숙소위치는 터미널에서 택시 타면 10유로에 가요. 시내 주도로랑도 걷기에 멀지 않은 거리 에요. 오히려 시내 가운데 숙소는 밤에 많이 시끄러울거 같아요. 가게도 밤늦게까지 열고 밤 12시에도 거리에 사람들이 많거든요. 호텔수영장도 깨끗하고(오후 7시까지 사용), 호텔 비치도 좋아요. (셔틀은 9:30, 12:30, 16:40, 3번 다녀요) 대체로 다 만족해요. 다만 건물이 오래되서 에어컨이 작동하지만 만족할만큼 시원하지 않아요. 조금 서늘한 정도. 그리고 아침도 맛있기는 한데. 너무 간단하고 조리된 음식은 없어서 좀 아쉬워요. 전망은 정말 좋아요. 테라스에서 내다보는 바다와 야경이 좋아요. 다만 큰나무에 가릴수도 있으니 전망이 중요하신 분은 예약시 나무가 가리지 않는 방으로 지정해 달라고 하는게 좋을것 같아요.

Views, pool, location +++
As others have said, the views are sensational, probably the best in Taormina, pool area is beautiful too. Location is great and the stairs are good for keeping fit but not a great location if you have mobility problems. We are used to older dated traditional Italian hotels and prefer them to more modern properties but this one is definitely going to need some updating asap..namely bathrooms and plumbing! Often unpleasant odours from the drains and water problems were noticed. It’s a place ripe for some renovations but there is definitely charm as is. Most of the staff are friendly but others need to smile more. Breakfast is great and the location of the breakfast tables are again probably the best in Taormina.

Sehr sympathisches Hotel, in dem der Eigentümer selber noch jeden Tag mitarbeitet. Sehr freundlich und sauber. Super Lage, einmaliger Ausblick auf Taormina und das Meer. Wunderschöner Pool und phantastischer Privatstrand, an dem man mit einem Shuttle gefahren wird. All das wiegt das Alter des Hotels und das einfache Zimmer auf. Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein, wie anno dazumal und ohne jeglichen Luxus. Mobiliar aber neu, gutes Bett, neuer TV und gute Minibar. Kein Abendessen möglich. Am Mittag nur ein kleiner Teller Salat oder Melone mit Rohschinken erhältlich. Würde es wieder buchen.

Although the hotel offers breathtaking views, I spent 455$ per night for this hotel and the AC barely worked and we didn’t have hot water. We had to shower in cold water. We were there 3 nights. Out of the 3 nights, we had lukewarm water at best 1 night and the other 2 nights cold water. Rooms were a run down. Over all I would not say this hotel is a 4 star hotel and if I base myself only on the hot water and AC situation I would give it 1 star

First time in Sicily
We chose this hotel because of its location. The views of Mount Etna were amazing. The pool area is beautiful, very well kept.

Some of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Some others at front desk sometimes not helpful and sometimes rude. Bathrooms need updating and small and cramped and showers often not working Room cleaning nice. Halls with worn carpets Would not return. Breakfast good. Most of Staff very helpful.

Hotelli oli kaikessa positiivisuudessa kuin paluu historiaan. Erinomainen palvelu, upea ympäristö ja mukavat huoneet sekä patiolla oleva uima-allas loivat ympäristön, jonne jäimme vielä kahdeksi ylimääräiseksi päiväksi. Liikkumisesteisille ja lapsiperheille hotelli ei välttämättä ole optimaalinen, mutta keski-ikäiselle pariskunnalle kuin virkistävä tuulahdus vuosikymmenten takaa. Taormina kaupunkina on ehkä kaunein, mitä olemme matkoillamme nähneet. Etnan vierailu antoi uutta näkökulmaa alueeseen. Suosittelemme lämpimästi tutustumaan molempiin.

Venlig og hjælpsom reception. God beliggenhed, kort at gå til centrum, flot udsigt over Naxosbugten. Men: Vi fik ved ankomst en skriftlig instruks om, at alt hvad vi selv satte i køleskabet, ville blive fjernet uden varsel. Meget lille badeværelse. Meget lille brusekabine med gammeldags separate koldt- og varmtvandshaner. Kun to bøjler i klædeskab. Meget lille morgenmadsbuffet med varer, der ikke var friske. "Americano" er en kop tynd, sort kaffe. Under vores ophold var de første dage med blæst og regn. Da solen kom, spurgte vi, om man kunne få en parasol, da det ellers ville være umuligt at opholde sig derude. Dette var midten af maj. Hvad gør hotellet mon med den terrasse, når det bliver rigtig sommer? Samme dag havde vi gjort opmærksom på, at en stikkontakt sad løs i væggen og, at bruserens vandhaner var defekte. Nu begyndte den ældste receptionist at råbe højt og skælde os ud for at være urimeligt krævende. Vi blev overfuset og opfordret til at forlade hotellet - uden mulighed for godtgørelse af de resterende dage. Stor tak til hotels.com, der straks overførte refusion for disse dage, som vi nød på et andet hotel.

Dated decor but view worth it & has Sicilian Charm
major plus of this hotel was the stunning view from the rooms, pool and terrace restaurant. Initial thoughts however was the hotel was dated and staff a little grumpy BUT loved that this hotel was above all the hustle and bustle and quickly got used to the flights of steps up and down. Staffed after first encounter were lovely. The beds are uncomfortable and as mentioned everything a little dated - but that makes it eco-friendly :) Other negative is that although there is a bar its not a great location and no one congregated there

Great location, italian atmosphere
Very pleasent stay, great location , Short walking distance to all the sites, bus station to Castelmola in front of the hotel , shuttle to the beach, nice breakfast, very friendly and helpfull staff, amazing views of Etna. A really italian atmosphere.

The view was great!
Great location, view was great from the room facing the sea, quiet, and having a pool was a great amenity. Lobby staff were helpful and the house keeping staff did an amazing job. The rest of the staff made you feel like you are troubling them and were unfriendly. The hotel needs to update their rooms. The rooms are tired and the mattresses are hard. Breakfast is ok. Definitely not worth the prices and in my opinion not an 4 star hotel. I would not stay here again.

We had booked quite last minute, so were lucky to find any spaces within Taormina - having visited the town before, we know that accommodation can be eye wateringly expensive, so if you are on a budget then you have to lower your expectations! The hotel is very old fashioned, and desperately in need of a makeover, however the staff are lovely and keep it all clean. The bedroom has comfortable beds and a huge terrace with the most incredible view over the harbour, and the swimming pool at the top of the hotel is wonderful. We didn’t bother with the breakfast after the first day, preferring to walk into the town, which is only five minutes away. In my view the slight shoddiness is all part of the Sicilian experience, if you want hyper modern Holiday Inns then go to Las Vegas, Taormina is not for you!

Great Location! Great view!
Great location! Fantastic view (book a room with a balcony and view, it’s well worth the extra cost!). Nice pool with a great view! It came in handy, Taormina is a very hot place! Friendly staff. Breakfast was good but quite repetitive in terms of what they served. Overall very nice experience! Very close to the city center with all its attractions.

OK oplevelse, meget slidt hotel - uvenligt staff
Godt beliggende hotel med dejlig pool område. Meget slidt bygning, alt er gammelt. Dårlig service, manden som virkede til at være ejeren, var generelt meget sur og bestemmende. Morgenmaden kedelig, men ok. Jeg tror vi prøver et andet sted næste gang.

Relaxing in Taormina
Wonderful place to stay when on the east side of Sicily. Fantastic views of the Ionian Sea coastline and Mt. Etna. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great to have, use, and enjoy the pool.

Hotellet ligger godt med en fantastisk udsigt. Meget tæt på hovedgaden hvor alle restauranter og butikker ligger. Fantastisk service fra personalet som er helt i særklasse. Dejlig uforstyrret pool hvor man kan slappe af. Hotellet er lidt slidt og gammelt men er meget rent. Morgenmaden er dog en kæmpe skuffelse og årsagen til de ikke får fem stjerner. Der er meget lidt at vælge imellem og niveauet minder desværre om et to stjernet bed and Breakfast i stedet. Det er dog det endte negative at sige om hotellet og vil anbefale det til andre

Slitent hotell.Hyggelig betjening.Flott utsikt.
Valgte ut hotellet fordi det lå 100 mtr fra hovedgaten. Det sto ikke noe om at det var 100 mtr i bratte bakker! For meg med 35% lungekapasitet ble dette for bratt og jeg måtte ta drosje fra hovedgaten opp til hotellet. Hotellet er litt "slitent" og kunne nok trengt en oppgradering. Frokosten var ikke et hotell verdig. Veldig dårlig og lite utvalg. Betjeningen var stort sett veldig forekommende og gjorde derfor oppholdet til en bedre opplevelse. Et pluss var egen pool på takterrassen. Alltid ledige senger der i alle fall når vi var der 1.uken i september. En nydelig utsikt fra hotellet trakk også helhetsopplevelsen opp. De serverte også enkle retter fra baren om man ønsket det. Stive priser på både drikke og mat!

Hotellet ligger perfekt för att ta sig till centrum och alla restauranger och affärer. Hotellet skulle kunna vara ett av de bästa i Taormina men detta kräver en omfattande uppfräschning av deras faciliteter och hotellrum, då dessa är väldigt daterade. Service är utomordentligt bra och personalen gör allt för att du skall känna dig nöjd och välkommen. Frukosten har lite mer att önska men skulle säga att de håller en bra Italiensk standard. Poolområdet är lugnt och mysigt med utsikt över Etna och havet. Även om det är daterat så skulle jag rekommendera att bo på hotellet med tanke på service, poolområde och tillgängligheten till centrum men faciliteterna drar ner helhetsbetyget.

Fantastiskt utsiktsläge
Mycket bra hotell med högt läge i Taormina. Fantastisk utsikt över havet och Etna. Fint poolområde med utsikt och välskött trädgård. De flesta rummen har balkong eller terass mot havet. Man behöver orka gå i trappor och uppförsbackar på väg från huvudgatan till hotellet, men avståndsmässigt är det nära och väl värt ansträngningen närmande njuter av utsikten.

Stunning views over the coastline and Mount Etna. The fabric of the hotel had seen better days. Our room was basic, with only just ok beds. Breakfast was reasonable. The swimming pool was lovely.
