I brought my mom to gamble for her 74th birthday. It was pleasant that we could walk to the casino. It was unfortunate that the property was run down and the pool was down for maintenance. The staff were very nice and it appeared to be clean for the most part. For a one night stay it was sufficient. I’d probably stay there again. The fridge was broke in our room. I reported it when we left.

This is an old and tired motel, set far away from the interstate next to a casino. Its low rates reflect the fact that it is near the end of its time. The location makes it handy for casino traffic and for downtown Metropolis, if that is your destination.

The entire building was somewhat in need of internal repair. Facilities were older but beds were comfortable. Rooms were minimal in furnishings and rather small, especially the bathroom. Nothing in the area of hospitality.

I had to wash the sheets and clean the entire room it hadn’t even been vacuumed and it was filthy. Not worth the amount for the slummy-ness of what you’re getting

Property needs major overhaul . It was difficult to rate the room and/ or facility “clean” because it was difficult to determine if it was rust from age or lack of cleaning. This was our first stay at this property and will be our last.

This place had a lot of bad reviews but decided to try it. Got a king suite with a hot tub in the room. First floor. We were pleastly surprised. It was really clean except for like stains on the couch, bathroom towels alittle stained. Yes it needs updating but for the price it was a good deal. Bed was comfy. Casino right across the street. Dog friendly also.

The whole place looked deserted. Walked in and the "pool and hot tub" werw drained and grwwn in the bottom. Literally hurt my stomach making me feel uncomfortable and NOT SAFE left without even seeing our room for safety reasons!

The night mare of the town..
Check in wasnt so bad. The room was in need of a good cleaning. There was marks on the walls and stains on one of the beds and certains. There was a dead cockroach in one of the pictures on the wall. Trying to check out the counter was un attended. I called the front dest phone just to hear it ring. After an hour a staff personal finally appeared. With no apology for any issues i leave you this note......

The towels in our room had dirt and makeup on them, and they had not been changed or washed. The refrigerator made so much noise I had to unplug it. The pillows are the size of throw pillows. The tv remote didn't work. For the I hate to complain but damn it wasnt good.

First of all when we arrived there was no one at the desk. We waited 20 minutes before the staff came back. Then when we got to our suite, there was no blanket on the bed just two sheets. We called the desk and we had to go back up there and get it our selves.

The morning shift guy wasn’t real helpful or nice extremely rude and I will never stay there again or recommend that hotel pool is closed and no workout room they said it’s closed not opening again worst business trip stay i ever had

Stayed one night at this hotel. Overall, it is an inexpensive hotel. The facilities are rundown and I am not sure when the pool pictures they share were taken but it was long, long ago. (At the time of my review, the pool is in complete disrepair.) Service was fine. The room was…okay. Dated decor. Carpet in desperate need of replacement. The “desk” is really a small square table with a hard back restaurant style chair, not a desk or desk chair. The lamp near the desk has a thoroughly rusted bottom. The WiFi was actually okay, allowing me to watch a movie on my laptop. The AC worked well but it is also clear it has not been cleaned underneath it in quite awhile and I suspect it is leaking. The bathroom was okay. Hotels tend to never have great water pressure and this was not an exception. The parking lot, like the whole facility, needs some work and feels pretty unsafe at night.

Hello Jason, Thank you for the feedback, it means a lot to us when guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay. The pool is regularly cleaned by the pool boy, he must have not yet been on shift during those times and we do apologize for any inconvenience it has caused.

Do not book this motel, In it's day it was very nice, as we have had stayed there before. It is so run down that a complete destruction of the motel and a new one built in its place needs to be done. I was also charged an extra $44.00 dollars for a so called No Smoker Room charge, was not informed about this charge. My charge card company informed me of the transaction, I went to the front desk to find out about the charge and was told that I would get a credit back after the room was inspected for smoking when I checked out. Another hassle trying to get my deposit back. Please do not even think about staying here. The same old story, you get what you pay for. I will be talking with the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce about this place.
