The property was beautiful as was our cabin. The view was delightful and the owners extremely friendly and welcoming. The area was peaceful and serene and had nice hiking nearby.

We loved our stay at Blackwood Cottages. Property was absolutely beautiful and our hosts were amazing and so friendly. Loved hearing about the history of the property and especially thankful for the delicious local produce provided (such a wonderful surprise). The Hobbit Cottage was just gorgeous and we loved having a fire at night (it was cold enough for us Queenslanders!). Spectacular views from all around, and we loved wandering around the farm with the friendly dogs! Couldn't have asked for a better experience on our holiday, I'd recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much!!

Incredible location. We stayed in an Ariel cottage with the spa on the deck. It was private and the spa was preheated for our afternoon arrival. Fresh farm eggs and bread. Fireplace was amazing. Bed was super comfortable. Incredible views to wake up and fall asleep to. Shane was welcoming, personable, informative and helpful. Easy access to Cradle Mountain. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway, special occasion or base to explore tge region. AMAZING.

Loved our cottage, our back yard had sheep & Alpacas. The birds sang & the wind rustled through the trees. The night sky just glorious.

This is a beautiful property that is on a farm, the cottage has its own gardens that are absolutely gorgeous. It’s very quiet and safe and I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking to unwind and relax. I will definitely come here again. It’s the best place I’ve stayed at in my 3 week stay in Tasmania.

My dream holiday place.
Have stayed through three owners and every trip has been great, so I will keep going back as it is always a fabulous place. The Hobbit Cottage has always been my favourite and now I will have to get in early if I want to stay again as everyone will want to stay there. There lovely couple who own it now are a delight to meet and working hard adding their personal touches to an already great place. So many areas from this base and it’s nice to come home to the peace and quiet.

Magical farm and cottage hideaway
Our little family of four had a magical three night stay. We enjoyed watching and being watched by the friendly alpacas, seeing baby chickens, waking up in beautifully comfy beds.

Relaxing and serene
From the minute you get there you are made to feel welcome by Belinda and Ian. It was peaceful and relaxing. The gardens are gorgeous as is the cottage.

Tranquil location
Stayed in the hobbit and exceeded expectations of what we expected in Tasmania, one of our memorable stays. Charming and inviting cottage, pictures don't do it justice. The location was majestical and refreshing. Belinda made us feel welcome and had kindly made us home made bread (which we had forgotten to buy before coming), fresh eggs, honey and muffins. The locals (animals) were one of the highlights for me.

※ モールクリークの、トロワナ ワイルドライフ パーク(Trowunna Wildlife Park)の側にあります。 トロワナワイルドライフパーク前の大きな道から少し中に入った森の中にあります。 コテージは2棟あって、私たちは「hobit」という方に2泊しました。 コテージはとても可愛らしく、モデルハウスのよう！ ベッドルームは、2部屋ありました。 キッチンには、奥さん手作りの美味しい食パンや、ここの庭で飼われている鶏や七面鳥の卵のほか、冷蔵庫には、ケチャップ、マスタード、バーベキューソース、牛乳、オレンジジュース(100%ジュースでかなり美味しい！)、イチゴジャム、マーマレードジャムそして手作りのバター(すっごく美味しい！)が入っていました！ また、オリーブオイル、塩、コショウ、ステーキ用ペッパー、ハチミツ、ジップロック、アルミホイルなども、一通り完備されていて、全てフリーです！ このホテルは動物やお花でいっぱいで、ヤギ・アルパカ・鶏たちが飼われています。 赤ちゃんヤギに、ミルクをあげさせてもらいました！ また、家庭菜園のアスパラとかをいただいて、夕食に使いました。 夜は、ポッサムやカンガルーやワラビーなどの動物がやってきます。 コテージの真ん前にもワラビーがいたりして、ビックリしました！ オーナー夫婦は、とっても優しくてフレンドリーでお話好き！ 人柄にとっても惹かれました。 また、行きたいコテージです！

Scenic, peaceful country setting, close to caves
We stayed in the Hobbit house which was lovely. I particularly appreciated the gluten free supplies that were left in the kitchen for our breakfast. They were plentiful and of a high quality. There were also fresh eggs, some of them were blue! Thank You! We really enjoyed the pot bellied stove in the fireplace with wood supplied. It was very effective at heating the room and was lovely to sit and look at. The fresh flowers on the table were a special touch. The beds were comfortable and had very good warm blankets. There was a great outdoor area, including a seat overlooking fields with lamas. A colourful rooster and hens wandered around the yard. Lovely! It was a short drive to the spectacular caves which we really enjoyed. We also visited the Trowunna wildlife park where we learnt about Tasmanian devils, wombats etc. We also had a short bushwalk at the nearby Alum Ciffs. We had a very relaxing and interesting time here and would love to return sometime.

This place is among the best.
Been here before and came back so my Grandchildren could enjoy the experience. It was again everything I expected. The freedom to roam the farm and countryside is delightful. This is a great place to relax and unwind. There is nothing to want for and places of interest are only minutes away. My next visit to Tassie will include another stopover here.

Bliss in the country!
We were after good, clean, private accommodation in a quiet country setting. Blackwood Park Cottages not only met our criteria, but exceeded it in every way! Our cottage (the Hobbit Cottage) was just lovely, surrounded by beautiful manicured gardens and alpacas and sheep in adjacent paddocks. And only a short walk away within the property, you have the most commanding views of Mole Creek and the countryside. We very much look forward to our next stay!!

Gorgeous cottage in idyllic setting
We had a wonderful time and will surely go back. The lovely reconstruction of a convict-built cottage is set in beautiful gardens on a quiet property with views of the western tiers. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and provided fresh-baked bread, butter, eggs, milk and juice. The cottage has a lovely layout, views, alpacas over the back fence, a pot-belly stove and modern bathrooms and kitchen. For a quiet getaway it's hard to imagine better!

From the moment we were greeted by the owner to the time we left we were made to feel special. Beautiful fresh baked bread & muffins as well as other breakfast supplies were there each day and Michelle gave information to help us get the most out of the surrounding area. Highly recommend these beautiful cottages.
