I was charge more than expected. They did not have my reservation. The linens/towels were dingy and stained. Our room flooded with sewage. Not a fun time but the people were incredibly nice.

Hello, Anonymous, we can't over charge the Hotels.com guests unless if they don't show us their Reservation either hard copy or on the phone. The Hotels.com guests get special discounts. We are not aware of your raising over charge issue. You were offered Hotel Suite, that are specially set up for special guests. I was told that a wash cloth that look dingy was actually a cleaning rage, an housekeeper left it behind accidently. There are special towels in those four suits . The hotel was totally full . We have not had any complaints from any of our guests especially the ones from hotel suites. We are sorry and apologize for your inconvenience . However, we thank and appreciate you.

I would return to save some cash
Overall we were pleased with the price for the 4 days we spent there and the service was good as well. The hotel is beside a truckers route which is noisy at night but tolerable. I would rebook if I need to return to Tazewell.

By the way we have all double pane windows that helps a lot with the traffic noise unless it is an ambulance or a fire truck. You may also ask for rooms away from the traffic. We actually cancelled our rooms when we pulled into the parking lot. Gang of guys hanging out in the parking lot. (Read a news article a few minutes before arriving about a shooting there in May, 2020.)

You are right. We had an unfortunate event. Hotel Manager was notified for the wrong people who were fighting. Manager immediately called the police force and had them taken out of the hotel within few minuets. It was not hotels fault. Please lets be fair, when shooting happens at the Walmart, it becomes a big news, people do not stop going to Walmart. We believe in the safety of our hotel guests and staff. We took care of the problem soon as we noticed. However we appreciate you.

Check in and stay was good as Sarah was very helpful and friendly..the cleanliness was very poor..Romm carpet and chairs were stained and very dirty, tile floor was sticky, no. Ups or glasses....was a bit of a disappointment ..Sarah was very good.

Hello, Debra, we are sorry for your bad experience. The room you were in was given to contractors for three weeks. Sarah is great employee, but she picked the wrong room for you. We have Hotel suites available with hardwood flooring especially for Expedia and Booking.Com guests. They were available. I will have a meeting with my staff to resolve this problem for future. Please always point out the problem as you notice in the room. We have instructions for staff to transfer you to another room. My cell phone number is written on the entry glass door and on the service window. You could also also ask for owner to discuss about your issue. I don't mind if any guest calls me at 3 am. We try to resolve the problem immediately. I apologize for your experience.

I am sorry, I don't see any review on this screen. All it says is 2 out of 5. I am assuming not very satisfactory. Without the detail problem , I am sorry to say I can make a comment. All I can say that the best way to handle issue is to always contact our front desk staff or ask for the owner's telephone number to discuss the problems. This way not only we will know what the problem is but also will address the problem at the same time.

I am sorry to make a comment because I can't see the detail of this review. Last review we had was to do with room not being cleaned. A guest left because of it. I investigated and found out that the guest arrived at 11 am when the previous guest left. We had no chance to clean that particular room at that moment. We informed the guest that the check in time is not 11 am. It is 2pm. Please understand that our employees need time to clean all the room thoroughly before we let our new guest in. It is also best to bring any complaint to our hotel manager or owner. We could have resolved this issue. Once a guest leave , we don't have any option to resolve the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I don't have details from the guest in front of me so I can not make any comment. All I can say, is Thanks. If the guest was not happy, I would say to always speak to the manager or owner who are there at the property every day. That is the only way we can resolve the problem if you had any. Review doesn't help. We are extremely busy my both locations. We are sorry if any unpleasant thing happened . I only wish, you had resolved the issue with Management while you were at the location. thank your for your visit.

Convenient location in tazewell. Staff is very kind. Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable, but a little dated.

It was well worth $66. The hand towels were dirty that was the only complaint I had.

Hello, Anonymous, thank you for your comments. The housekeeper no longer works due to her sloppiness. We apologize for inconvenience. You noticed that we do have beautiful rooms and price is very reasonable. But there is no excuse for having a spotty towels. We have a an outside linen service that delivers linens. Its housekeepers job to place totally non-spotty towels in the rooms. My supervisor must have missed it perhaps the spot was not on the display side. I apologize for it. In future , please call from the room soon as you notice anything wrong. We can take care of it. Normally Jackie is on top of everything at any time. I can assure you this that the linen company sends all washed and pressed towels and sheets to us once a week. We will keep an eye on it and we will make sure my staff be aware of it.

Exactly what I was looking for. Large room, great price, comfy bed. Pet friendly as I had come down from Pa. to pick up a puppy. The staff couldn't have been nicer, great BBQ just down the road. I showed up at 10 a.m. and no problem checking in early. Highly recommend. Enjoyed my stay.

The beds weren't comfortable (and we had to ask for blankets). The room wasn't serviced while we were there (not even fresh towels). The second night we were woken up by someone coming in the room (no one in the office looked to see that the room was already taken). Nothing other than an apology was offered.

Some guests prefer harder or firm mattresses. Please always call us immediately soon as you notice something wrong . We could switch you to another room. We have Front Desk Manager and GM on duty all the time. We are open 24 hours. Please let us know of any issue if you face next time you visit us. We appreciate your business.

Clean but wouldn't go back
My room was very clean and comfortable; I give it that much. However, the volume on the TV went up and down in volume every few minutes, and I had to readjust with the remote back and forth. Annoying. The clerk tried to reassure me that this motel was safe, but I wasn't sure, after seeing some of the clientele. A man behind the counter had on a T-shirt with profanity on the front in big letters--not reassuring, not professional. He wasn't the clerk but didn't represent the motel well. The clerk said they did not allow locals to stay at the motel to prevent drug dealers and users, but two of the vehicles parked near my room all night long had Claiborne County tags, where the motel is.

Thank you for kind comments about room being cleaned. Sorry that you had TV volume problem. Front desk staff would have fixed it in a minute had you called and reported . It is to do with two remote provided by cable company. That can be confusing if we use the wrong remote control to change the volume. Person with T-shirt with Profanity are not allowed to rent any room at the hotel. And person with no shirt on is not allowed to stay at the hotel. We do have contractors who stay at the hotel. They may look rough but they are harmless. We have their IDs checked out. As far the Claiborne Co tag you noticed. We have employees who live in Claiborne Co. There may be two cars and if I was there I have my truck with Claiborne Co tag. Also people sometime come to visit their relatives who stay at the motel. Those people are from Claiborne Co. Please note that we do not allow anyone from Claiborne Co to rent a room. I am sorry if anything may have caused you inconvenience. We appreciate your visit.

Not worth 80 bucks.
Construction until 2 am kept me up and when I asked the guy did he know it was 2 am he said yeah and continued working. Killed two roaches around the tv.

Very sorry, we found out later same day that our maintenance guy was up on the roof fixing a leak. He had instructions not to do any job after 9pm and no job was to be performed on the weekends unless there was an emergency. The employee no longer works at the hotel. As for the roaches around the tv , we do have pest control service. If you seen the roaches they must be dead once after the pest control was performed. We are sorry for inconvenience. Please always inform the front desk the same day so we can transfer you to another room.

Hello, Tammy, TV volume problem has to do with the remote control. We have front desk on duty 24 hours a day. Please always inform them the problem. They would show you the right way. As far as towel , again please always let the front desk know. Our housekeeper may have not noticed a spot or two. But I assure you all the linen are washed. We have stock of towels available at all the time. Please always ask for anything you need. We even have pop corn , milk and cereal in case if someone gets hungry in the middle of night.

It's cheap, and its not awful. If you value your money, and are otherwise a healthy individual with no sleep problems, it's fine to stay here. For the rest of us, I really recommend the sleep inn down in middlesboro. Dish out the few extra bucks to have a place that's nicer, easier to work tv, farther from the road, split duct a.c. you actually control, etc.

Thank you for your kind comments. Yes we keep our price low to make it very comfortable for people on budget. Yes Sleep Inn is a franchise hotel with the price tag of 4 time higher then us. We thank you for staying with us . Tv problem could have been fixed by one phone call to the front desk staff. The girl would take a minute to resolve the issue. The most confusing things is that the Cable Co provides two remote controls. One to turn it on /off other to switch channels and volums. It can be frustrating if used the wrong remote . We apologize for it.

I would not stay there because of how dirty that motel was. I had small children with me & did not want to have that around them.

I have never seen this in my life. I am not sure where this picture is from. I don't recognize any of these furniture , toilet don't belong to Dixie Plaza Motel. Please look at the website and find any of the rooms that looks like this. I am not sure if the pictures were taken at the Dixie Plaza Motel or some run down hotel some place else. But I still apologize because I believe customer is always right. Just to inform you Ms Elli, we have been in this hotel business for the last 18 years. I would not be in business if I had the rooms look like you show in the picture.

The manager ensure I enjoyed my stay. The Dixie Plaza has seen better days, but she made my visit much more comfortable.

You don't want to stay here
The place is sketchy at best. Marginal, tired rooms - worn out carpets, non-functional wi-fi - manager was all about apologies. He ended up sending me to another hotel when after 30 minutes, his team couldn't get stuff to work. Find another place if at all possible - you don't want to stay here.

Thank you. We are sorry . Your all the comments are not reasonable. The other hotel we wanted to send you is only 15 minuets drive . It is a higher end hotel for the same price we were going to offer. I am sorry but we don't have carpets in the rooms. All room have tiles.

I am sorry to say that we are not allowed to over charge Expeida Guests because the set price is on the contract. Guest agrees while making reservation and hotel accepts when guests arrives at the hotel. The person at the front desk had a stroke some time ago. She is disable. This employee worked a the hotel for over 12 years. She about to retire soon. We are sorry that you had misunderstanding. We apologize for your concern. Thanks

Very comfortable and relatively quiet considering it is located on the main road through town. Rates are great and the staff are very friendly & helpful. Would absolutely stay again if I do business anywhere nearby.
