Recently stayed at Muddy Moose Cabin in Vermont, and it was a delightful experience! The serene surroundings provided a peaceful escape, and the cabin's cozy atmosphere felt like a home away from home. Safety was a top priority, and the quiet ambiance added to the charm. Highly recommend for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway!

This property is amazing! We’ve stayed at so many places over the years and it’s very common for places to be misrepresented. You see pictures and read descriptions that never quite measure up once you check in, that is not the case at the Muddy Moose. The moment we arrived we were greeted at the door of the welcome center with warm welcoming enthusiasm. Check-in was a breeze and then it was time to see the cabin. We booked a one bedroom cabin that was in a beautiful secluded spot toward the back of the property. It was the cleanest stay we have ever booked. Everything was so much more than it had been described. The cabin wasn’t over decorated with clutter, the furniture was in good repair and it just felt completely comfortable inside. The property is well maintained. It has snowed pretty heavily our second night there and management was out clearing the roads late that night to make travel easy the next day. If you’ve ever looked for a quiet secluded cabin that only 20 mins from things to do in any direction, this is the place for you. We absolutely loved it and I have plans on going back many times in different seasons.

The cabin, staff and property was great! There was a lot of snow and they created a path through the woods to hike. Had such a great time! The only thing to be aware of, is the Wi-Fi is not very strong. No big deal for us, but if you’re looking to stream anything or get work done, it is slow. We loved the cabin and the dog welcome they created for our puppy.

We stayed at the Muddy Moose for 3 nights. I must say, I would absolutely come back. All the staff are so friendly, the cabin was very clean, the property is beautiful, and the cabins have everything you need! We stayed in Cabin 6 and loved it! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! There was nothing bad about the Muddy Moose, everything was perfect and more than I even expected! 10/10 for sure!

The cabin is in excellent condition, tastefully furnished and very clean. The only suggestion for the hosts is to replace some of the pots and pans as the non-stick coating is flaking. Maybe add a stainless steel pot and pan to avoid this issue. Overall the owners do a superb job maintaining the property and communication was excellent as well.

Beautiful and cozy winter getaway
We very much enjoyed the spacious and comfortable cabins at Muddy Moose. If I could build one myself it would be just like it, including the heated floors and fire place. Can’t think of a better and safer way to spend time away from home.

The perfect Vermont getaway
This was our second time staying at Muddy Moose and it was so wonderful. We truly did not want to leave. We were able to bring our dog, and he had so much fun running on the trails on the property (which are well marked and well groomed). The cabins are impeccably clean, as is the Moose barn (which has billiards, shuffleboard, arcade games, and more). Muddy moose is close enough for a quick trip to Stowe, but you don’t ever have to leave the property if you so choose. They have all the utensils and cookware, and everything else, you need for a night in. We can’t wait until next time!

Fabulous Cabin
Everything about the cabin was amazing. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin 6. It was at the back of the property so it had great views and privacy. The cabin was fabulous inside, with everything you’d need. It was decorated in a tasteful way which retained its cabin feel without being a typical rustic cabin. We’ll definitely be back.

Our cabin was spacious and well appointed, with sweet touches for the holidays. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs and all of the appliances (including washer/dryer) seemed brand new. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and picturesque views. And the beds were super comfortable. We plan to stay here again.

Relaxing
We had a wonderful time at Muddy Moose and look forward to going again. The cabins are beautiful, clean and scenic. Very close to town as well. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They also have an entertainment house with a pool table and pac man machine. It was a very lovely place.

Clean and cozy cabin
The Muddy Moose is a small group of cabins just outside of downtown Stowe. We stayed for a few days to go skiing on nearby Mt Mansfield. We loved our stay - cabin is super clean, warm and cozy. Our cabin was #2, a 2-bedroom that slept 5. My 13 year old decided to sleep on the couch, but there was a trundle for him in the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen is perfect, spacious and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner, plus do some baking for apres-ski. Owners are amazing - very responsive and friendly. I give this 5 Stars all around.

Beautiful Cabin overlooking Mountains
Excellent weekend with the family. Beautiful cabin nestled deep in the mountains. Gorgeous views totally secluded location. Close enough to Stowe while still having nice privacy. Will definitely be coming back to Muddy Moose for my next trip to Vermont.

Beyond my expectations. The cabin was impeccably clean and very comfortable. 20 minute drive into Stowe where there is lots to do. We can't wait to go back!

Great family getaway for R&R in Vermont
This little gem of a place is ideal for a couple or family looking to get away from it all. The cabins & main house are at the end of a dirt road but should not be an issue except in the worst of weather conditions. We stayed in Cabin 6 which was built this year. It had two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, a living room open to the kitchen, 1 bathroom with a shower & new washer/dryer, & a comfortable porch overlooking the meadow. There is a gas stove fireplace in the living room that adds to the charm of the cabin. There are large flat screen TVs in the living room & each of the bedrooms. The only negative aspect of the cabin was that the walls are thin & if you have two bedrooms & someone snores it will not be hidden by the sounds of nature outside :) Christine & Chuck are welcoming & organized. The check in packet we received contained all the necessary info for the property & basic necessities (e.g., grocery stores & restaurants). There is a "barn" on the property that serves as a rec room with a pool table which we didn't check out. We just wanted to relax & enjoy the nature. For our infant son a playpen was provided for him to sleep in & a blanket. We took short walks to visit the two horses & see the natural waterfall on the well-marked paths. The path can be a little tricky when visiting the waterfall but go slowly & it is very rewarding. Everything was well maintained & true to the pictures on the website. We loved the trip so much we are booked again.

Loved our cabin! Had everything you could possibly think of & dogs are allowed. They even provided dog treats & dog bowls. Can't wait to go back.

New log cabins tucked in the woods of Vermont.Gas fireplace,heated floors, Full kitchen. 160 acres of land. Just the perfect get away to walk in the woods , gather your thoughts or be with the one you love. Exceptional clean. The staff are the owners so any concerns are address immediately to your satisfaction. Already planning my next trip there

R & R Weekend
Loved this Property. I have stayed in many many, hotels over my career. Always five star. This property had to be the cleanest that I have ever stayed in. Everything was beautiful. The cabin itself is very private. Living room, Kitchen bedroom and bathroom....all beautiful. All top of the line appliances etc.......Can't say enough. We stayed in Cabin number 1. There was more than enough space. Would go back in a heartbeat!!!!!!
