Eliseeff Arbat Hotel is a very small, (I counted 6 rooms) albeit simple, but honest hotel about 3 minutes walk from Arbat Street in the middle of Moscow. It is about a 30 minute walk from the Red Square and the Kremlin, near some very good restaurants, bars and touristy type shops. The closest Metro station is about 10 minutes walk and another at the end of Arbat street, about 20 minutes away.
The young girl that was on duty most of the time didn't speak any english, but she was very good with google translate and I didn't have any problems communicating with her. The other staff member I saw spoke a little english.
The room ground floor I had was clean, well appointed with its own fridge, tv, bathroom, shower etc and air conditioning. I did find it a little ironic that I was there in winter, and because the building central heating was turned up so high I had the air-con on cool!
Twice I paid 350 rubles for the breakfast. It was quite a simple meal of a porridge and Russian pancakes or a meat pastry thingy. Both times I enjoyed it. Coffee, tea and so on is free on the first floor landing.
Check out is at midday and it was a simple procedure of handing back the room key card and saying Goodbye. They organised a taxi to Domodedovo Airport for me which cost 1000 rubles and took about 40 minutes.
By way of recommendation I can say that I will be staying there if I ever find myself in Moscow again. I liked the small place feel in a big city like Moscow.
