Disappointing stay but friendly staff
Hotel is very old and the room condition is bad. Wifi is only accessible on the ground floor and not the room.Towel was torn and stained. Living Room aircon couldn't stay on and kept shutting off. Only saving grace is the friendly staff in the hotel and location is near the beach.

Es war sehr dreckig. Das Bett war schlecht. Das Badezimmer runtergekommen, der Rost rieselte auf die Toilette, ständig. Die Fenster haben absolut keine Schallisolierung und das an einer 8 spurigen Straße. Wir haben wirklich kein Auge zugemacht da die omani gerne ihre Motoren aufheulende lassen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Ach ja, Frühstück oder so gibt es auch nicht, kein Restaurant!

Poor
It is very well located, but the service is VERY poor and the cleaning does not exist. The AC filters have never been cleaned and it was dirty everywhere. They did not make the room.

Low budget option, do not expect much.
The price and the location is good. Except for that I was not too impressed. When we first arrived we thought that the hotel was shut down as the building looked abandoned. And at the reception they did not have our booking in their system, but we got a room when I showed them that we had a booking.

chabola en el mejor barrio de la ciudad.
La ubicación es excepcional, en medio de todos los hoteles de cinco estrellas y de la royal opera y la playa. Pero el sitio es como un sitio fantasma todo descascarillado, tétrico, sucio, no funciona casi nada (salvo la piscina que tampoco esta preparada: ni hamacas ni nada, salvo alguna silla desvencijada). Vamos como si fuera un sitio en concurso esperando que alguien lo compre y lo restaure por completo...pero entonces ya no constará lo que vale, lógicamente. Lo peor: la basura y lo mal que huele a la puerta de la supuesta entrada trasera (que termina siendo la principal porque es de la única que tienes llave: ver fotos)

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. They provided a great breakfast recommendation. Room was quiet and wifi was good. Balconies overlooking the pool.

You get what you pay for
If you want an inexpensive hotel close to the Opera House, I would recommend this hotel. The room was clean and you can probably ask for a room with a view. Updates are badly needed, however. Breakfast was not worth it so we went to Starbucks. The staff was friendly and it felt safe. Don't expect luxury.

Bien qu'avec une référence, on n'a jamais pu retrouver trace de notre réservation. L'hôtel est non seulement vieillot, mais carrément hors service ; prises électriques, climatiseur, rideaux, salle de bain, tout est déglingué. Pas de wifi. Le personnel fait ce qu'il peut, mais malheureusement c'est un hôtel à fuir.

Great Location
Great location! Located between opera house and walking distance to the beach. There are lots of shops and restaurants around. But the condition is not acceptable. I had to cancel reservation on the spot. Personnel was very helpful and understanding and i do appreciate that a lot. Hotel needs complete renovation. My compliments to the photographer which took photos of the hotel for advertising :)

Solid local hotel
Great hotel for the price, a little bit worn but clean enough and friendly. Great location near the beach, opera house, resturants and hotel bars that serve western drinks.

Service ok, breakfast poor, needs renovation.
We stayed 2 nights at the Beach Hotel. They upgraded us to an apartment since there was no room with twin beds available (we asked for this in our reservation). The apartment was huge. Service was ok, but after the first breakfast we decided not to take the second breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast room is not inviting, a bit dirty and smelly. Poor offer of food. Apartment was clean but needs renovation. Hotel is on walking distance to nice and clean public beach and close to shops and restaurants.

Great location for beach and cafes
Double room turned out to be one bedroom apartment. Comfy bed and spacious. Good buffet breakfast. Wifi only in lobby but we were fine sitting there. Everyone very friendly. Make sure you have a room beach side as the rev heads fly along the main road. Check out beach football early evening. Amazing views from Qurum Resort cafe nearby.

This "hotel" is in a devestating condition. By investing only little more money you can make your stay in Oman many times better.

Hotel was adequate. Bed was comfortable. Furnishings very old and basic. Television did not work. Breakfast basic but okay. Staff friendly and helpful.

Not worth half of what i paid. No hot water, and electricity went out, twice. There was a not so clean bed, and a lukewarm shower but i would not consider this a hotel.

Choose a different hotel
I have had a lot of experience of visiting the Middle East, and in general try to choose a budget hotel for my stay. I know what to expect, and what not to expect from a budget hotel in this region. I am generally just looking for a place to sleep whilst exploring the country. In this case I made a big mistake. The price on the site is that of a mid-range hotel in the Gulf, so I was expecting a better standard. What I got was dirty walls, water that doesn't flow out of the bath, then when it does comes up through the drains in the floor, a cracked toilet, a swimming pool with the colour of milk, and a breakfast selection that was bizarre. I was not at all impressed. Finally on check out the staff informed me that the prices on the booking website do not include taxes (not stated on the website) and thus the bill was 20% more. For this price you can find a room in a much nicer hotel in the same location. Save yourself, don't stay in this hotel.

Good value in very good location
I stop at Beach Hotel often because it is the cheaper option for the neighbourhood. Its close location to the cornice and Shatti Al Qurm make it an ideal place to get to the beach and nearby cafes and restaurants. While the hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of renovation the room was very good.

Its a v good for the price u pay. Excellent staff. Moderately good breakfast. Internet in room was not working. No noise For a low budget, its the best hotel to stay. No mosque nearby.

points positifs : chambre et salle de bain spacieuses, propres et confortables points négatifs : buffet pas tres bon, hôtel tres mal indiqué nous avons perdu pres d'une heure avant de le trouver car le nom sur l'enseigne extérieure et le nom sur le site n'était pas le même, piscine extérieure assez grande mais comme il y avait des travaux de réparation nous n'osions pas trop l'utiliser car plusieurs ouvriers se trouvaient juste à côte des transats (gazon synthétique), hotel situé à cote de la mer mais pas de plage pour se baigner!!! bref assez déçu dans l'ensemble, nous avions choisi cet hotel pour les prestations qu'il semblait offrir mais au final nous aurions du prendre un hotel moins luxueux et à un rapport qualité-prix certainement plus intéressant

チェックイン時にエクスペディアでの予約が確認できませんでした。部屋は用意されたのですが、荷物を置いた後部屋を出たら、その後鍵が壊れて開かず…。結局修理で30分ほど待ち、荷物を出して部屋を変えてもらいました。 ホテルの対応は悪くなかったんだけど、時間がもったいなかった。

Overpriced and in major need of care and upgrades.
We booked a 2 bedroom suite at the Beach Hotel in Muscat, Oman. It was for four adults and one child. I'll get right to it... Pros: Across the street from a mall with nice shops and restaurants (Breakfast at Costa is Coffee, Muffin, etc) Very close to highway for things to do around Muscat Very nice informing and welcoming staff Cons: The hotel is basically next to a drag-strip where very expensive cars spend all night going up and down. Pretty cool to watch the cars. Not so much at 2am when you are sleeping. Dirty and neglected kitchen Bathroom Sink was leaking water (called and was "remedied") Horrible selection of "Breakfast" (Fried Chicken looking like leftovers from before, Toast, Beans and Fruits) Very expensive internet. Overall, You don't have much options in Muscat you either go big and at an oceanfront and pay for it, or you go cheap and deal with first world problems. It was, meh.

Tired and run down, but in a great location
We got what we paid for; a cheap room in a cheap hotel. The room was spacious with a separate sitting area, but it was not terribly clean. The armchairs in particular were very stained. Fortunately, the bedding was clean enough, although the pillows were terrible quality and I was afraid to look under the pillow case! Breakfast? Give it a miss! The saving grace for this hotel is its location. The Opera House is just across the road, and a makeover to convert it into a boutique hotel seems to be a business opportunity just waiting to happen.

Alles in Allem waren wir zufrieden mit dem Hotel, mit dem Service und der Lage. Natürlich gibt es bessere Hotels, aber dann eben deutlich teurer. Strand zu Fuss erreichbar (3 min), Shopping Mall gleich über die Strasse alles andere für wenige Rials per Taxi.

Close to the beach
I was disappointed with the actual facility for the price that I had to pay. The breakfast was included and had very strange offerings for breakfast (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots some other choices I'm not sure what they were - I heard someone say they were eating chicken nuggets for breakfast). The furniture in the room was basic and the one comfortable chair had a broken leg - if you moved it slightly the leg came off. The bathroom needed revamping as well. Television had no color to it and the channels were minimal, yet the hotel in the lobby was flat screen with great color. Best part was the proximity to the beach.

Good for a Budget
The breakfast was not very nice. The bread was stale and the choice of hot food was very limited. Some of the staff were OK, but in general they were quite unhelpful, although not rude. The location isn't bad, although it's on a main street and the noise was quite loud well into the night.

I had to stay one night in Muscat after atending an amaizing night at the Opera house so I dicided to choose the nearst hotel on the map, so i pik the beach Hotel (not on the beach) coz its only Within walking distance with the Opera.

Beach Hotel, Qorum, Muscat. Good value but noisy
Beach Hotel is the only "budget" hotel in the Qorum area and the location is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach. The big negative is that it would be quieter if it were located next to the airport runway!. Located on a major road next to a shopping mall, cars race in front of the hotel all day and night. And when I say "race" I'm not kidding. Take earplugs if you stay there.
