Construction on the property. The coffee was ice cold. I was charged by Expedia and by the hotel. It took speaking to three people to correct the charge. I will say the Assistant Manager was very helpful and everyone was kind.

The bad: When we went to check in, we were then notified that there was a problem with our room & they had to switch our suite to 2 rooms that connected via door. I feel like that is something they should contact you for and let you know beforehand. A suite and two normal rooms are two completely different things. Was not happy about that. The floors looked clean, but they were apparently filthy because once we took our shoes off we noticed it had a sticky feeling to it and our 2 year old twins feet got black very quickly (once we noticed the floors were sticky we went to wash their feet & put socks on them & that's when we noticed they were completely black.) Tv stand was an eye sore, half the decorative trim on the front was ripped off. One of the bed farmes was broken, and the bed would lift up off of it if you sat on the edge on one side. One of the tvs was broken & would not turn on. There was construction going on everywhere, inside & outside.. You couldn't use the front entrance because of it. There were wet floors in the lobby area where water was leaking out from the roof. Also, when I made the reservation, I chose *Pay At Check In, but they had already charged my card before we even got there. The good: The staff were all really nice. When we called the front desk & told them the tv wasn't working, someone brought a new one & swapped it out pretty quickly. The room was nice other than the few things I mentioned above. All in all, it was just okay.

It is being remodeled but we knew that before we came because I checked previous guests' comments and saw it was under renovation. I called the hotel directly and they were honest about the renovation process. I appreciated their honesty. Our room was in very good condition and the breakfast room was also in good condition and the breakfast was excellent.

We stay here whenever we’re in town. Love this place, it’s our home away from home. Always clean, very friendly staff and always have hot coffee in the lobby!

Staff was great
Despite the hotel undergoing construction the staff made the stay enjoyable. Every staff member we encountered were very nice and accommodating. No questions asked we asked for a bit of an extension on checkout and this was also arranged. Definitely would stay again!

We stayed 2 nights. The pillows on the bed were horrible. Super thin. Way too small for a king size bed. I woke up with a crick in my neck. Breakfast was not bad the first morning but the second morning it was not great. Over cooked sausage patties and the links didn’t taste like sausage. We went back to our third floor room after breakfast and only one elevator was working. We retrieved our luggage to leave and neither elevator was working. Tried to call the front desk 4 times to see how long before it was fixed but nobody answered. We had to carry heavy luggage down three flights of stairs and we are not young people. Checking out I told the desk clerk I had tried to call but couldn’t get an answer. She didn’t even acknowledge that I was speaking to her. Just handed me the receipt and said nothing. Very rude. I would not stay there again.

Staff was excellent; but was under rehab - which was much needed. The 2nd floor was under reconstruction. But all the other floors were also in serious need for reconstruct. The carpeting in the hall was dirty and stained. The elevator wall had a fairly large segment missing. The hot tub was roped off so it could not be used. If they had let it be known that the hotel was being upgraded I would have not reserved.

A great variety of breakfast choices and available until 10 AM. Everyone was eager to help when we had a need. There was no noise from the construction and remodeling. They were redoing the 1st and 2nd floors. Elevator worked good, maybe a little slow, but I am too. They have no weight limit on your pet like most other places do. This is our second time this year to stay there. It will always be my go to place in Myrtle Beach.

Ridiculous
Our stay wasn’t great at all. We were on the top floor where there were several pitcher trash cans and other containers catching water leaks from the ceiling. This caused an amity smell and damp feeling area. There were several families on the third floor with over packed rooms which also allowed children in pool area and gym area unattended. Leaving facilities overfilled with no room for others. The staff seemed unbothered by the complaints.

Very unkept. Tiles coming off the outside roof. Elevators were extremely dirty. The ceiling in our bedroom had a huge spot covering a 5 × 5 area that was either mold or mildew. Dead rat in the parking lot. Carpet in hall was horrible and covered in bleach stains. I do know they were redoing the carpet and waiting on supplies but the other things there was no excuse for. Will not stay here again.

Hotel was very clean. Room seemed to be recently updated, hardwood floors instead of carpet was nice. Free breakfast a plus. Pet friendly. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

It is good location and surrounded with trees,but hotel is dirty, always sold out , cant have earli chel in or late check out. Food is same like everythere sausage and scranbled eggs, swimming pool is dirty same the gym , like nobody was therer for.month. it is cheap place but could be much cleaner.

Lobby and room were great, clean, and a very helpful and friendly staff. Outside around the property was a little dirty with some trash and cigarette butts left on the ground in the smoking areas, lots of ants. We opted not to use the indoor pool only because it was so hot in the pool room. Overall it was a nice place to stay even with renovations being done.

The staff could not have been nicer. It is a pet friendly hotel and we stayed in a mini-suite with our dog and cat, and it was perfect for us. We had a fridge, microwave and sink. The beach was a 3 block walk - the only mild downside being that the hotel is not on the beach, but we knew that going in. There is an indoor pool which is great for thunderstorm days - we had a few passing showers during our stay.

I think the property should have some updates to not look old and ran down on the inside. Could use carpet updates and fresh paint.

My husband and I stayed here for a week vacation. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel. It's waiting to be remodeled and it needs it. It's still a nice hotel, just some things need updating. The location is really nice and quiet. It's three streets over from the beach and close to a lot of restaurants and mini golf. We stayed on the first floor by the laundry room so I was concerned it would be noisy, but it was really quiet. The continental breakfast was really nice. My only complaint was the lady who checked us in seemed like we inconvenienced her by checking in. She was unfriendly and did not tell us you have to request housekeeping. On day three of no housekeeping I finally went and asked another lady at the front desk. This lady was very kind and helpful. We were informed you need to request housekeeping at the front desk by 10am. We did this twice however, the second time we didn't receive any housekeeping. It's convenient when you request housekeeping you can tell them what time works best for you and what you need replaced. Over all it was a really great hotel for the price. I know cockroaches are an issue at myrtle Beach but I was so happy we did not see any at this hotel!

Stay was amazing, hotel was easy to get to as well. Breakfast was an actual breakfast and something different daily which was very nice. My kids loved it. The pool was open the whole stay as well!
