I've stayed here about a dozen times over the last year both on Business and Personal and have always enjoyed my stay. The Room Rates are reasonable, the location is convenient, the Check-in / Check-out is easy, the Rooms are clean and the Staff is very friendly.

Both the office and my room had an unpleasant odor, like they were trying to mask a mildew smell. The pillow cases were stained, the walls and doors had taken a lot of abuse over the years, the window in the bathroom was rusted open and would not close (during winter in New England). I had to walk up a steep flight of narrow stairs with a heavy suitcase. When I saw the deplorable state of my room, I returned to the office and gave the manager my key. I told him I would be happy to pay for one night, but please cancel the other two nights of my reservation. He said he could not because I had prepaid through expedia. PLEASE DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Do not prepay through expedia. I for one will not use expedia again.

We had a last minute booking and our stay was very easy and comfortable. The beds were lovely and the blankets were warm. The bathroom was huge and they give you individual control of the temperature in the room. It is near amenities and right off the freeway so easy to find.

i'm a local. i like it here. when i'm having work done at my home, i stay here. quiet. close to the truck stop and dunkin' w plenty of hotel appropriate snacks !

The room reeked of cigarette smoke, although when we reported it, the person told us he would take care of it. Some kind of air freshener was plugged into an outlet. We weren't informed when we checked in that when you exit the room you need to hit the lock icon on the lock panel. We learned about this whn we reported it at the desk. Spongy mattrand very hard pillows. The bathroom was updated, and was nice. Towels etc. looked like thin rags. Inexpensive and doable for one night.

What a horrible experience. Looking at the pics it seems like a retro motel that's been updated. Far from the truth. It was disgusting. My wife dropped our luggage off in the room. She pulled down the bedspread and there was old yellow stained sheets and pillowcase. We went to the show at the local casino and while there I told her we weren't staying. She was so happy, she said she was ready to cry when she saw the place. So we went back grabbed our bags and instead of enjoying a night there after the show, I drove through the night to sleep in our own clean house instead of staying there. Also, it seemed like transients staying in areas and hanging around outside. Did not feel safe at all.

everything is perfect except I didn't know it was a second floor, I crawled up the stairs and will have to crawl down stairs to keep from getting hurt, other than that the staff has been wonderful

I booked this hotel through Expedia for one night. We booked the more expensive option of having 2 double beds instead of one king since it was me and a friend. After arriving to the location I had to sign to get my room key. We opened the door and it was a king bed. After returning to the front desk to say it wasn't the correct room and asked to be placed in the right room we were told they had given away our double room but to contact Expedia and the front desk woman would get in contact with the owners to get this situation corrected in terms of price difference. The owners refused the request stating they still provided a room, that we signed for it, and that they wouldn't be providing a refund for the difference. How were we supposed to know it was the wrong room until we opened the door though? Which we could only do after signing for it. Even though it was their mistake and they gave away the room we booked. Mistakes happen but you expect those to be fixed. I would caution people to not stay at this motel due to the bad business practices of the owners. The only upside is that the location is relatively good I guess? Also as a side note- small places of seemingly mold and it was kinda dirty. We did find wrappers and stains on the chairs and curtains. The point of this review is the refusal of providing what I bought but it doesn't hurt to mention the other things too.

The Stardust was the worst place we have ever stayed. It was infested with flies; there was mold in and around the shower; rust was on a metal panel in the bathroom; the sink leaked onto the floor; the furniture was stained and broken and missing drawers. When we spoke with management they gave us extra towels and a fly swatter. Because of time constraints we had no choice but to stay. This was a terrible place.

The walls were paper thin so I heard every word of the couple in the next room arguing (multiple times at all hours). The bathroom fan was very noisy, which would not have been a major issue except it ran whenever the bathroom light was on, and the switch was outside the bathroom.

This property is very date. The owners are trying to upgrade, but with limited success. Only food available was fast food at truck stop. English is second language for owners so although they were very nice people, communication was very difficult.

Rust on metal things. Towels were so tiny and thin they were very ineffective. No box if Kleenex. Old fashion door key very difficult to use. Flies all over the room. We had to get a fly swatter to be able to sleep. Pedestal sink no counter to put supplies. Desk chair extremely wobbly very dangerous. Deposit not applied to balance. Had to pay full amount. They said the $25 was a booking fee. This was the worst room we ever stayed in and the total cost was about $175!!

Stardust is good for families
We needed a room for 7 nights for an extended stay to attend a funeral and Stardust turned out to be a hidden gem. They're located right off Rte 95 with quick access to many things. The hosts were very nice, quick to help and very accommodating. When I locked myself out of the room they were able to help immediately.

This met my expectation in every way. Easy check-in. Close to highway. Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet. Air conditioner provide white noise for good sleeping.

Bad experience
We booked this place last minute based on reviews that seemed very good. When we arrived the place was run down, and the room we were shown had a large, full trash bag in the corner, dirty towels on the floor and smelled pretty bad. Needless to say we quickly left. Hard to imagine who was giving this place 10/10 reviews just a few days before. Beware

The rooms are always very clean and the service from the owner is consistently outstanding. The pricing is very reasonable and the location is perfect for our weekend getaways to the beach, the casino, Newport and Mystic.

I liked nothing about this establishment! I never stayed. The place is disgusting and should be shut down. Behind the bed was an inch of dirt, debris, mold and bugs. I will be contacting the health inspector of the State if Connecticut. I am also filing a claim against this establishment for refund of my money and contacting my credit card company. Mortified this place can still be allowed to operate. Nasty nasty nasty

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit the University of Rhode Island and explore the areas surrounding it. We were about 25 minutes from the university, but we booked last minute, and this motel was the closest one we could find that looked decent and didn’t cost a fortune. The motel was conveniently located near the highway and a Dunkin Donuts where we grabbed a quick breakfast both mornings. The person who operated the motel was pleasant, accommodated our late check-in, and gave us extra towels when we requested them. The room was a decent size and seemed clean overall, but the back of the bathroom door was dirty from where people touch it when opening and closing the door. That was not a big deal, but we did notice it. The towels were clean but very small and thin. The shower pressure was weak and became very weak when someone used the sink faucet at the same time. We found the bed uncomfortable. The pillows were great for sitting up and leaning against, but they were too hard for sleeping. They were not squishy, and my neck hurt the first night from the position caused by such a sturdy pillow. Two of us pushed the pillows aside and just slept without them. Eventually, I used a few towels as my pillow. Overall, this place was not fancy, but it did the trick for our quick visit to RI.

The room was not very clean. The bathroom was quite small and the toilet was not 'seated' to the floor properly. The room was in need of painting, the refrigerator was very noisy and the furniture appeared to be from a tag sale or had been in use foe many years. On the bright side, when we realized that the air conditioner wasn't working properly, the clerk on duty came to the room immediately and fixed it. Both clerks that we had contact with were pleasant.
