IMPORTANT; It is due to guest feedback that during the last 5 years, we have carried out many improvements as well as additions at our award winning hotel. Phases 1 & 2 were completed in December 2016 and we have started on Phase 3 in January 2017. During Phase 3, we are renovating all STD rooms' bathrooms (those with baths) and installing new curtains, mirrors and lights in ALL 62 STD rooms. Most recently, we completed the installation of brand new remote controlled air-con/heater units to all of our STD rooms (62). Besides these major renovations, we take corrective action on all guest feedback (where possible & realistic) e.g. when facilities need improvement/s and/or, service delivery has not been at our usual high standards. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Lüderitz is a TOP10 Namibia Destination. In the unique colourful Welcome to Lüderitz visitor book (on sale at our reception for N$20 only), a plethora of local tours and famous attractions are included, e.g. daily Zeepaard Catamaran Halifax Island Tour, Dias Cross/Point, peninsula fjords, Eberlanz Cave, Shark Island, Luderitz Peninsula Tour (4x2 & 4x4). Plus, the unique and fabulous Elizabeth Bay, Bogenfels and Koichab Dunes Tours take in truly exceptional and special wilderness areas. I am delighted to read that my staff were very helpful and pleasant as I place enormous importance on delivering a friendly and efficient service. Please accept my sincere apologies that our food did not meet your high expectations as normally, both our menus and food quality are very well received. Important; From your feedback, I assume that you occupied one of our standard rooms? Though not brand new, they have all been further improved with; New HD TVs, large laptop safes, extra-large duvets, brand new extra-long queen size beds (all double rooms), new glass shower screens (shower over baths) and importantly, most standard rooms have been fitted with the latest remote controlled aircon/heater units - soon all STD rooms will have these units. On 01 May 2016, we launched 8 brand new deluxe contemporary rooms on our top/3rd floor. These lovely new rooms have enjoyed much positive feedback! Other improvements are too numerous to mention here but a major addition was the construction and launch of our new Crayfish Lounge in 2014 and the purchase of a brand new massive power generator - this has come in very handy when power is reduced or cut from the main power grid - our guests are then not inconvenienced at all.
