We absolutely loved our stay at The McLellan House! It was beautiful, elegant, clean and staff were amazing! We were blown away with our visit. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again!

Beautiful property. Completely updated 150yo Victorian walking distance to downtown Napa with plenty of street parking. Wonderful, welcoming staff. Will definitely be back when it's warm.

Absolutely lovely
The house is absolutely lovely and beautifully restored. The room was well appointed and stocked with free still and sparkling water, coffee and fancy teas. The bed was comfortable and the full blackout shades were a nice touch. Choolee, the owner, personally hosted a generous happy hour (that ended up going on for several hours) for all of the guests of the mansion. The house is east walking distance to several restaurants and the river. We will be back for sure.

The best way I can describe the experience was awkward. When we arrived no one was there to check us in, no sign saying we were in right spot, no explanation on what to do. We had to call and get the information. We were the 1st guest there that day and had to explain to everyone else call the owner. Breakfast was awkward too, they said served between 8-10. Yet when we to kitchen the cook was just arriving at 8 and didn’t say anything. We had to ask where to go to eat, had to get our coffee and had to ask when breakfast was. Didn’t eat till closer to 8:45 For how nice this place is, how much you spend per night you’d expect top notch customer service and that we did not get. We did like our room and bathroom but would not return giving the service. It was not a bed and breakfast but an awkward Airbnb.

Everything was great, but Sonia went above and beyond being helpful, booking us a last minute in-room massage, and being generally great. Breakfast was also excellent. Highly recommended, will definitely come again.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in the carriage house. It was the best place we have ever stayed. We will stay at the McClellan House on our next visit to NAPA. ps: Dogs are welcome In the Carriage House.

Old world charm with modern finishes
Absolutely beautiful 19th century/Gatsby home with all the amenities of new construction. Service was spectacular and one of the best B&Bs I've ever been too. Great location within walking to downtown Napa and plenty of street parking for the rental cars.

Phenomenal. It’s a great place and is walkable you the market, tasting rooms and so much good food. The owner and his family are exceptional! Great breakfast, conversation and of course wine!

A wonderful experience. The owner is going to do some remodeling,and that would bring my rating to a 5 star for every category. Beautiful property, easy walk to town for restaurants,and the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a B&B. The nicest most interesting people were staying there, and the owner and his daughter also fit that category.

The owner and his family are absolutely amazing! They welcomed us as soon as we entered the house and treated us like family the entire time we were there. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Noisy experience because of owners' personal event. Also, we were uncomfortable with security and lack of sufficient air conditioning. The breakfast was excellent as was the location.

Thanks for your response,yes I recall your visit in Aug as we were hosting an engagement party for our daughter who came in from Portland OR mid afternoon and were unaware of your early return. Usually our guests join in, but we seldom have any events at the B&B unless its a private rental. Thanks for your plus on out breakfast & location. Please do visit us again as we are a very quiet B&B.

Hi Doc, thank you as that is what we do after 30 years or B&B operations. Napa Valley is booming and it helps to have guidance of where to go, where to walk, best caves, spas...etc.

We do have flexibility with time as we try and accommodate everyone, especially if we know in advance. Also if communicated prior of any diet restrictions then we do accommodate. This past weekend we had guests departing at 9:30AM for wine tours and we accommodated earlier. We also had low carb requests and we accommodated. Perhaps you should communicate when making a reservation on Hotels.com of special requests. Guests that make reservations directly with us, put their requests on the comment section of their reservation request. That helps us all be on the same page with expectations.
