Warm and personal service
This hotel gives exellent service, even though none of us speaks italian we got help to solve a serious situation with help from the hosts family. The room was clean and had good beds. The location fitted us perfectly although our first impression of this hotel was not the best. We strongly recommend this hotel if you are up to living in a small hotel with exellent service.

Cauchemar à Naples
Dommage que mon petit séjour ait été gâché par un problème de chasse qui s'était produit quand le propriétaire était là ( réglé après de nombreuses manipulations ) mais qui a recommencé quand je suis rentrée dans la soirée avant de repartir dîner l'eau de la chasse coulait à flots sans s'arrêter mais ça faisait autant de bruit que les chutes du Niagara impossible de joindre ni le logeur ni hotel.com, un des messieurs logeant sur place a essayé de m'aider en manipulant la chasse qui etait encastrée dans le mur mais en vain au bout de 3h environ n en pouvant plus et me demandant où j'allais bien pouvoir dormir je me suis acharnée sur la chasse puis me suis arrêtée car je ne voulais pas en pkus avoir à payer les dégâts mais cela a eu de l effetau bout de 5 minutes par contre je n'ai plus utilisé les toilettes quand le propriétaire n'était pas là pas très confortable! De plus on m'a imposé l'heure du petit déjeuner à 9h30 les 2 jours où j'étais là bas javais déjà perdu ma 1ere soirée et 1 peu ma matinée le 2e matin n en pouvant plus j'ai réclamé 1 plateau dans ma chambre pour ne pas gêner le groupe italien qui apparemment était prioritaire voilà dommage maispur moi ce fut une expérience très negative

Perfect for one or two days in Naples
The B&B is very close to 'Spaccanapoli' and the city centre. The check-in was a bit slow. The room was of the right size and clean. Some problem with the flush, though. Poor breakfast (quantity not for the quality). Low price, perfect for one or two days in Naples.

La struttura è situata in posizione strategica per quasi tutti i punti di interesse della città, che sono raggiungibili a piedi. La stanza era molto semplice ma pulitissima e dotata di tutti i comfort. Il proprietario è gentile e disponibile, è un vero piacere scambiare quattro chiacchiere con lui. La colazione rimane la parte migliore del soggiorno: sfogliatelle calde ogni mattina! Assolutamente consigliata, ci ritornerò!

Great location in the heart of the University district and the old town. Much better than being near Piazza Garibaldi or Corso Umberto. Very helpful staff, and very good value. Quiet, comfortable. Breakfast not amazing, but what do you expect for this price?

Friendly welcome and lovely clean room
The hotel staff were very welcoming and had some nice little touches such as the freshly homemade cakes that arrived for breakfast. The rooms were very clean and spacious too. Ideal for an overnight city break as not too far from the port and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

Great option for independent travelers in Naples. I was traveling alone but had visited the city before, so this was a perfect setup for me. The proprietors speak very little English, but were absolutely friendly and kind, and we were able to get me checked in with no problem (even managed some restaurant recommendations nearby!). Breakfast is simple and self-service (not really a "buffet"... what we'd call in America a "continental breakfast"), but always included delightful Neopolitan pastries. Otherwise the small room I had was clean, comfortable, and included a desk and air conditioning.

Handy for historic area
Interesting place, hadn't quite realised it was bed & breakfast rather than full scale hotel. Charming, helpful host. Breakfast a bit basic even by Italian standards. liked the coffee once I'd sussed machine properly.

Central and nice, clean hotel
This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main streets of the old town or the more modernism shopping streets. Easy 10 minute walk to central station. Hotel staff speak Italian not English, but they are friendly and will do their best to understand. The hotel is clean, convenient and simply nice to be in!

Hotel agradável, bem localizado.
Hotel fica a + ou - 1,5 km da estação Central "Garibaldi", porém o endereço não aparece no GPS o que dificulta um pouco chegar ao hotel. O local é tranquilo e o comércio atende a todas as necessidades. Gostamos muito da estada e recomendamos.

Basic comforts near center of Naples
This hotel is small but clean and comfortable. It is down a kind of dark back-street, so isn't very appealing from the outside, but it's central, and the room was large, clean and comfortable. No one is present at the hotel, but one of the owners was there to greet us and he gave us a cell phone number to call in case we needed anything. The breakfast was kind of a self-serve, prepackaged thing, which was not great.

Una buena opción en Nápoles
Hotel bien ubicado (2 cuadras) de la Avenida Corso Umberto I y 15 minutos andando para llegar a Spaccanapoli y Via dei Tribunali, en cuanto empiece a trabajar la estación Duomo de metro estará más céntrico para poder llegar desde la Estación Garibaldi. El servicio de desayuno y limpieza del cuarto bien, habitación grande y amplia en una zona de barrios tranquila. El personal siempre fue cordial y dispuesto a ayudar al inquilino.El único inconveniente es que para poder hablar con el personal hay que irlo a buscar ya que no existe una recepción como tal.

Tre giorni a Napoli, una città che adoro! Due notti in questo grazioso B&B. Via Portanova non tutti la conoscono, essendo una stradina nel centro storico; consiglio di raggiungere la struttura da Corso Umberto. Anche se il contesto ambientale non è dei migliori, nel senso che non è signorile, il B&B sorprende perchè ristrutturato e curato nei dettagli. I proprietari sono disponibili e molto discreti, perchè ti accolgono all'inizio e non sono presenti nella struttura. La colazione è self-service ed è costituita oltre che dalle solite cose (per lo più confezionate) anche da un dolce artigianale. Le stanze sono spaziose e abbastanza silenziose.

Mi trovo d'accordo con le precedenti recensioni: camere spaziose, confortevoli e molto pulite. Ambienti comuni( piccola cucina e sala per la colazione)ordinati e puliti. Purtroppo la colazione è veramente povera, caffè,latte e succhi di frutta da bere e solo prodotti confezionati da mangiare. Con qualche accorgimento e un paio di prodotti freschi sarebbe stato perfetto. Location centrale, ottima per visitare a piedi tutto il centro. Nel complesso da raccomandare.

In the heart of Naples
Hotel was clean and located close to restaurants and walking distance to historical center. Very clean and modern. Comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom. The breakfast is not as described in listing. It consists of prepackaged pastries and make your own coffee (which was good. No fruit or fresh food. There was juice in the refrigerator if that counts as fresh, homemade food. The hotel was very quiet despite all the motorcycles and scooters zooming through the streets.

Emplacement peu désirable
La personne sur place qui nous a reçu bien que gentille, ne parle que l'Italien et ne reste pas sur place. Une fois l'enregistrement fait il n y a pas personne sur place pour répondre a vos besoins. Le B & B est bien mais son emplacement n'est pas sécuritaire et pas situé sur un artère principale mais plutôt dans une rue qui ressemble plus a une allée sale. Avant même d arriver au B & B, nous avons été volé par un type en scooter qui a arraché une chaine en or du cou de ma conjointe et ce a 14:00, donc imaginer les sorties en soirée. Nous avons changé d'hotel le lendemain matin. Je ne recommande a personne de rester a cet endroit a moins que vous soyez habitué à de telle emplacement dans votre ville d'où vous venez

Large room. Good location.
The B&B was in a convenient location, within easy walking distance of the train station and airport bus stops. Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly, but we only saw them on check-in and check-out. The wifi worked well.

A lovely experience
We had a wonderfull stay at Portanova B&B. It was a very nice room, it was nicely cleaned each day and the wifi worked great. Our only 'complaints' are that the breakfest isn't really breakfast, it consists of pre-packaged pastry and dull cereal and tea. The owner of the B&B doesnøt speak ANY english! We managed anyway, and he was very nice. I would recommend this B&B to you, as long as you keep the above in mind.

Great B&B right in the heart of Naples
I stayed six nights at the Portanova B&B and absolutely loved it. The room we stayed in (standard double room) was large, comfortable and very clean. The staff was also nice and helpful (they even gave us complementary umbrellas when it was raining outside) and the hotel is located in the center of the old town which means that most of the cultural hot spots that one has to visit in Naples are close by (walking range). As far as Naples is concerned, I don't know why this town has such a bad rep. It maybe a little intimidating for some tourists at first, but we explored every back alley that we found in the city, including the dreaded Spanish Quarters, with DSLRs around our necks and never had any problems. Also, all of the locals that we met were very helpful and friendly, often offering their help even if we didn't asked them. All in all, this was a great vacation for us.

Friendly, quiet and good value
Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet, convenient location, in area of residential apartments. Lots of graffiti and rubbish in streets, but didnt feel threatened or afraid. Very basic self-service breakfast. Clean, simple room. Very good value.

Cozy hotel with convenience location
The location is very convenience close to port and little bit far from train station. If you take a taxi, it only cost 15 euro. The hotel owner is very friendly and helpful.

Chambre confortable et emplacement idéal
Quelques jours avant le départ nous avons confirmé notre venue et notre horaire d'arrivée. Sur place le gérant nous attendait (c'est la seule fois que nous l'ayons vu) et nous avons réglé notre chambre pour la semaine, mais avec une petite surprise typique : une "taxe" de 1€ par jour par personne en plus ! A part ça le B&B est situé en plein centre de la ville, ce qui est très pratique pour aller visiter le quartier historique, il est tout près du corso, ce qui permet d'avoir à proximité des commerces de tous types, des lignes de bus et non loin de la gare pour le train pour Pompéi, Herculanum et le Vésuve. Non loin aussi de l'université pour prendre le métro, et le quartier n'est pas dangereux du tout. Seules petites déconvenues dans la chambre : le pied qui est censé tenir le pommeau de douche était cassé, et impossible de faire fonctionner la télé. Tous les matins nous avons trouvé dans la salle d'entrée quelques pains au lait/pain/biscottes/jus de fruits et il y a un frigo et une machine à café approvisionnée. Nous avons d'ailleurs utilisé le frigo pour nous réserves personnelles en laissant un petit mot dessus. La femme de ménage passait tous les matins dans la chambre. Peu de bruit, même si on entendait très nettement l'étage supérieur quand il y avait quelqu'un, et la fenêtre de la chambre donnait dans une petite rue assez calme (pour Naples).
