Very convenient to Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasmin ( 15 min drive). Much closer than Nelson and nice small town. Great restaurants nearby and the owner was very kind. Great value!

Wet Weekend in Motueka
Unfortunately the Waiting weekend getaway was ruined by very wet weather. Nautilus Lodge was a good vacation stay however and offered everything my wife and adult daughter and I needed during our stay. It is a short walk the restaurants on the main street of Motueka, has lots of parking spaces both on site and along the street. Room was adequately quiet but you could still hear large trucks passing on the main road at night. The owners were friendly and provided an excellent cleaning service. Would definitely stay here again.

This is an older hotel with more space than most newer places. I really appreciated the laundry available on site for $8 per load for washer and dryer and the deep spa bathtub. They also had information on area attractions and guide services, many movie DVDs to borrow and a book exchange. The host was so personable and friendly and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The hotel right on the road at the end of the Main Street in town and this makes it an easy walk to restaurants, shops, etc there. Kaiteriteri, the hub of many guide services into Abel Tasman National Park, is an easy 20 min drive away. Our room was bright, spacious with a bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette, outside sitting area, AC and bath. Although it was right next to highway, the road noise was minimal, and parking was off street in internal park yard. Parking was a bit squeezed, so don’t bring a big rig without talking with hotel owners first about how they might accommodate it. The town had several eateries with many different ethnic choices. We enjoyed a pub meal with great craft brews at Sprig and Fern, easily reached on foot. There is a grocery store on the Main Street (High street) as well and a refrigerator in the room which helped us out also. The reception is manned by the owners who live on site and it was closed when we checked out early in the morning, but they contacted us via email later that day to check in with us even after we had left.

Very friendly and helpful - amended our stay length, sorted a couple of minor problems and the cleaning staff were amazing. The suite was spacious and comfortable, we loved the spa bath - there was loads of hot water. The Lodge is ideally situated for walking into town, there is a big supermarket just down the road (3 mins walk) and there are some lovely walks, all waymarked, around the estuary and the inlet. We will be back!

Highly recommend
This was a lovely and nicely equipped motel with lots of nice extras. We had a 2-bedroom and the bathtub was jetted. The owners were very friendly and I would absolutely stay there again.

Property was on a busy road junction so we did have quite a bit of road noise. It was well located for Abel Tasman National Park. Lots of places to eat nearby. Owners were helpful.

We are ideally located to the wonderful Abel Tasman National Park and we are walkable distance to some very good restaurants and cafes in Moteuka town. Clean and spacious and run by a lovely couple. The only negative for us was that there was no oven and only 2 burners. We had expected a full kitchen. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay. Really convenient for Abel Tasman Park.

Decent Motel
Pleasant motel, our room had a decent sized patio area with furniture, though on a road that was busy daytime. Wifi important to us and was very poor in our room but understand an upgrade to fibre is due.

Great stay.
Our stay was great. The location was fantastic, walking to all shops and a quick drive to a huge selection of activities. Our hosts were lovely, very helpful and accommodating.

Everything was great for a small motel near Abel Tasman national park. The only weird thing was a clear ceiling on the shower. I understand it was there to protect the walls, but it made the shower feel claustrophobic.
