Charming hotel that is right on the St Charles trolley line which makes it easy to get anywhere in central New Orleans. The hotel room was clean- my number one requirement! Bed was comfy. Breakfast was pretty non-descript- all prepackaged stuff . The hotel is an older building and our floor was very slanted, not just a little bit, quite a bit! Hotels owners may want to look into some architectural fixes!

I enjoyed my stay and found the Inn very convenient for my needs - friendly and helpful staff, steps from the street car and walkable to many amenities. My room was very quiet at the end of the hall, nice clean bathroom and the bed was super comfy! The only negative I can say was my view -a roof of ductwork and pipes out one window and a wall of the adjacent hotel out the other. A small consolation for the positives of my stay. I am definitely booking here again!

Will be back. Staff amazing. Inside and outside atea to visit and have breakfast. Restaurants close. Street car stop steps from door. Water pressure low but what do you expect from historical hotel.

Great place! Perfect location with the trolley track out front. We could head right downtown but nice and calm and quiet at the hotel. Beautiful neighborhood.There is currently some construction going on which started before 7 am one morning. We would recommend and we would stay there again if we come back!

Many parts of the room didn’t work. The door didn’t close all the way, the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, and the AC didn’t cool properly unless it was turned all the way down.

A refreshing change from the “box” hotel chains - a place with character that is quiet and convenient and reasonably priced. Some temporary minor inconvenience due to upgrading areas surrounding the property - but looks like it will be done fairly soon.

We had a good stay here but the place felt a bit dated and even though it was smoke free it smelled a bit like smoke to me. Most of the staff were pretty apathetic and not too helpful. I was surprised after reading so many amazing reviews. The beds were comfy and the streetcar right outside was very convenient. All in all, okay.

The St Charles was a dream from checkin to checkout. Every staff member was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was just fine and parking was easy and secure. The common areas were most welcoming and the patio was the perfect place to relax for breakfast or after a day of tourist activities. We had very easy access to the trolleys and used them daily. (Easy access to the French quarter and the WW2 museum). The area was super safe with many beautiful old homes and gardens along St Charles blvd. . We loved the St Charles and highly highly recommend it to any visitor to New Orleans.

Very cute little hotel right along the St. Charles streetcar line, which is very handy; we stayed with our dog for four nights and paid a little extra for a "City View," which was worth it, as we had a charming third floor view of the streetcar and dramatic trees on St. Charles. The hotel and room were not new, but are well appointed and very comfortable. The room size was plenty, and it was very convenient to have an extra sink area near the entryway. We loved having wood laminate floors (preferred -- especially in a pet friendly hotel!), a microwave, and a decent sized in-room refrigerator. The staff was all very lovely, efficient, and on hand for any needs, and there is a record player in the lobby and frequently music playing when we walked in, which we liked. The free parking lot behind the hotel was gated and required a "clicker" for entrance, and we were grateful that our vehicle was parked somewhere safe enough my husband felt comfortable leaving his golf equipment in the car at night, so we didn't have to lug it to the room each day. There is a cute Tex Mex restaurant attached to the hotel that was yummy, and seems very popular; you can enter the restaurant through doors in the hotel lobby, which was nice. We also ate a block away at a little neighborhood Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant, August Moon, which was fresh, cheap, and decent, and we enjoyed walking a few more blocks south to Magazine St. to check out some boutique shops and get Thai food a different night.

This property is located just down the street from Tulane and Loyola . Very conveniently located on Trolley path, self gated parking, and great Mexican restaurant connected to hotel. Very nice staff.

This hotel is in a great location, clean, and the staff was very helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily and refreshed which isn’t always the case these days. The rooms are on the small side but that didn’t bother us. The breakfast is nothing fancy but we found what we needed and the coffee was delicious! The streetcar stop is right out front and that made traveling to the French quarter or further down to uptown easy and cheap! All in all this was a good experience!

We stood at the counter and the staff proceeded to ignore us standing there waiting to check in. Finally checked us in and we got stuck in the elevator! Called for help and there was no answer. A poor experience.

This was our second stay at this quaint little inn. We love that there is a restaurant downstairs and transportation (street car) is conveniently right outside. This is definitely our go to when traveling to New Orleans! It is clean and the staff are nice and helpful.

Normally I would rate the property higher. However, when you have construction going on with jackhammering that reverberates up 2 floors at 7AM without any notice or warning…. That’s not acceptable. Don’t know how long it will be going on but didn’t appear to be any sort of quick emergency repairs.

This is a gem of small hotel on such a human scale that my husband and I found so very endearing on our stay. Friendly staff, gated parking, adjacent bar reminiscent of “Cheers”, street car line out front, excellent Creole/Cajun fare in easy walking distance are some but not all of the superlatives. No real objections to offer but then we are not quibblers anyway.

Good value, easy access to tram, prime location to visit New Orleans Garden District, free parking. Each room has microwave oven, refrigerator, safe, coffee maker, shower heat lamp, etc. continental breakfast with bottled Tropicana juicy, activia yogurt and Jimmy Dean biscuits, etc.

Very clean older hotel. Rooms were nice and great location for us. Great price point on the room and has free parking. Nice continental breakfast that was free. We highly recommend and will stay there again!
