I expected southern hospitality and most of the staff had attitude .. not even an acknowledgement of a good morning. Got tired of the eye rolls.. have been staying with courtyard and Marriott for over 10 years, by far the worst customer service.

The initial room, first floor near the elevator, was absolutely unacceptable. A loud, grating buzzing noise was present, presumably from the elevator apparatus. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and immediately relocated me, but the fact that a room was even in that location with such a noxious noise did not reflect the quality that I have previously associated with Marriot hotels

I was the Bonvoy member that booked 3 King rooms for me, wife and 2 other travelers. All 3 King rooms were different with mine being half the size of the others 2…. VERY SMALL…. I requested to be moved, which they accommodated, BUT they moved me to double bed room… valet parking is $50 a day, which I knew going, but we requested our car for an excursion, and it took over an hour to get our car… they did comp us for a day of parking. On a positive note, the hotel is VERY convenient to the Quarter, and we felt safe.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly when checking in but checking out in morning there was one person working, not friendly or oersonable. Breakfast was supposed to be open at 6 but no one showed up so nothing until airport. Very dirty around that area and expensive lots of homeless and police presence. Probably would not go back to New Orleans.

The staff is not at all friendly. Also your room is only cleaned if you make a request. When I did, the room wasn’t swept, they simply picked up the garbage and changed the towels. The beds were half made, as in the covers were just brought up and the pillows literally thrown at the head of the bed! Would never recommend this hotel!!!

There was no door between the toilet and the rest of the bathroom. We had to call to have the toilet repaired right after we checked in. We weren't given a local map. They did fix the toilet quickly.

No Wi-Fi, no hot water
In general, the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. However, there was no Wi-Fi for the first three days of a 5 night stay. One night, there was no hot water (we received a note slid under out door to inform us). The next night, there was only scalding hot water or ice cold water in the shower and regardless of the temp, the water was a slow trickle. Will probably not stay here again.

Room Description Inaccurate
I booked the room on the Hotels.com website and in the description of the room I selected (in fact the description of every king bed room on the website) it stated that a balcony was included. A balcony was not included and the hotel was not willing to let me pay extra for a room that included a balcony. The main reason I chose this hotel was for the fact that it stated the balcony was included.

Courtyard in Bad shape in a great location.
Location was great. Valet was costly and food or breakfast was costly and not worth the money spent. Overall unclean than other courtyards and if you need a stay next to canal street this is good. Overall 3/5 for the price and comfort. Air conditioner was so loud and felt out of place for the Marriot brand name.

The staff is amazing!! So helpful and kind!! They helped us change rooms easily (I didn’t like our balcony view) and the bartender Sley was awesome!! Definitely will be back next time we visit NOLA!!

Front desk staff were very unfriendly, no housekeeping whatsoever (apparently you had to request this - I found that out on my final day). Very noisy late into the night. Lots of homeless presence in the near vicinity. Elevators were not in the greatest condition. Overall would not recommend this courtyard at all.

We weren’t able To get into Our room until 4:35 which was not ideal to start. The staff were all very friendly through out though. The hotel itself felt and looked dirty. Our room had a very strong chemical/ bug spray smell. Broken lamp shade, paint on the floor from “quick” repair I assume. Sticky substance in both elevators, over all not well run or taken care of property.
