상대적으로 싼 가격, 절대적으로 낡은 시설
예전에 갔던 호텔들의 가격이 많이 올라서, 방의 상태를 포기하고 위치만 보고 골랐습니다. 침대, 화장실(샤워), 에어컨, TV가 있고, 카펫, 커튼, 침구, 수건에서는 찌든 냄새가 납니다. 샴푸, 비누, 일회용컵이 제공되고, 청소는 수건과 시트 바꿔주고 정리하는 정도입니다. 바닥이 나무라서 복도와 윗층 발소리가 항상 들리고, 방에 설치된 에어컨과 옆빌딩 실외기 소음이 심합니다. 다만 지하철 6, R,W,F 타기 편한 위치, 주변에 식당과 식료품점, CVS 있어서 편리합니다. 걸어서 유니온스퀘어까지 다닐 수도 있어서 그린마켓이나 서점, 대형 할인점도 접근이 좋습니다. 종합적으로, 방에 머무는 시간이 길지 않고 잠만 잘 사람에게 추천합니다. 베개와 침대 시트를 한장 갖고 가면 좋을 것 같습니다. 화장실의 모든 수도꼭지에서 물이 새니, 욕실과 방에서 신는 슬리퍼도 가져가길 권합니다. 냄새나 소음에 민감하고 잘 견디지 못하는 사람은 하루도 머물 수 없는 곳입니다. 모든 비용은 현금결재만 가능합니다.

매우 아쉽네요
샤워기 수압이 매우약해서 머리를감을수가없어서 세면대에서 씻었어요. 에어컨이 창문을 열어야쓸수있어서 불편했고 매우좁아서 캐리어를 열면 지나갈수가없어요. 침대큰고시텔느낌. 프론트 직원분은 친절합니다

Not bad not good
You have to pay in cash only. Isaac was a very sincere and good staff. The room is small and does not have a table and a chair. There is no cup and there is no amenties. I could not sleep well because the sound of the fan running next to the hotel was too loud.

I guess you get what you pay for, but Property was extremely tired Ended up going to shop down the street and purchased an underlay pillows and sheets so we could get into the bed as ones on the bed looked grubby Kept awake most of night by street noise and loud music.

For the price and location, this place is a steal! We had a great time. Staff was friendly, our space was clean, the bed was comfortable, we were allowed to check in super late and leave our bags for storage after we checked out, which is all we needed! Also located to so many great restaurants and train stops. Great place to stay as a couple looking to save $$ but still stay in Manhattan and explore the city. Don’t expect the most amazing room ever but if you’re a no frills traveler this place is for you— very glad we stayed here and would stay here again!

Least expensive option we could find in NY. Very close to the subway station, we could easily go everywhere. There's a 24/7 Ray's Pizza right on the corner. Room and bathroom were small but clean. Front desk agents were always nice, morning and evening. Would stay again.

We liked that it was close to the metro station and in the city. The bathroom was very small. The shower did not work properly. But for this price in new york it was not bad at all.

Stayed here for 5 nights in April. Thought it was an excellent deal! Besides a bed and a basic bathroom (shower only), the amenities were basically non-existent, but it’s half the price (or less) than all of the other hotels in the area, so it is to be expected. Everything about the hotel is on the older side (including the bedding, carpets, showers), but i did not think it was a problem. Cleanliness was passable - rooms were made every day. Noticed some staining on the box spring and mattress. The staff were amazing and helpful - We had an issue with the toilet flushing and we were switched to another room without any troubles! Rooms are very small, but you won’t be spending much time in them considering how PERFECT the location is. It really can’t be beat. st. Marks is within a 3 minute walk of green and yellow lines, and about 7 minute walk to orange and grey. Couldn’t ask for a better neighbourhood - east village is vibrant and we felt safe the entire time. Also, We couldn’t hear any noise from the street or restaurant below from our room on the 3rd floor. I would recommend this hotel to any ‘budget traveler’ who is used to simple, older accommodations. If you are used to chain hotels, you might not find St. Marks very comfortable.

L'hotel era vecchio e c'eracattivo odore dappertutto, la moquette era molto sporca, l'acqua nel bagno non era calda abbastanza, miscelatore della doccia non funzionava, il wc perdeva acqua continuamente e la notte era fastidioso, le luci sopra i letti non funzionavano. Però aveva un'ottima posizione, vicino alla metro ai ristoranti, supermarket ecc.

This is a great stay for a night or two. It’s affordable and conveniently located in a great neighbor with lots to do. The hotel could use remodeling and maintenance. The staff is nice and they do clean but it’s only as good as the structure of the building. I’d suggest for the hotel to invest in updating the facility so it doesn’t feel so dated and dirty.

This is a great place to stay on a budget but please remember they only except cash. The staff were great the rooms were clean. It was just a nice cozy place to stay. My only complaint is there was no hot water. If you like a cold shower then you will enjoy it. Thst eas my only issue. Highly recommend staying here. I will stay there again.

I asked for a few hours late check out because my flight was delayed 7 hours and I didn’t get in until 8am, and the front desk person (today- said his name was Tim) said NO because I was “difficult” and was the rudest hotel worker I have met. I didn’t even end up going since I didn’t want to bother checking in to sleep 2 hours.

Awful. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Toilet flush didn’t work properly and it blocked regularly and I was told to sort it out myself. You have to pay in cash which is ridiculous. Will never ever go back.

After the first night we went to find a new hotel, but then the legend behind the front desk sorted our AC out and the room suddenly became our special palace. Lean into the weird design and awful styled bed sheets. Let your inhibitions go and you'll find true happiness at st marks. Definitely going back.

Staff was very nice. However..... Was surprised and unprepared for cash only requirement and had I not been able to go to a bank (say had come at night) I would have been out of luck, plus out of the first night's stay, although since I didn't have cash I'm not sure how that would have worked. The sheets were stained, the spread may have been clean but was dingy so not sure. The carpet was old and tattered. No heat, so had a space heater on the floor, which was loud and would get too hot, so all night had to turn it off and on every hour or so. The bathroom door would not open all the way because of the toilet blocking it, so getting into and out of the bathroom was difficult. If a person were very big, it would be impossible. Water was dripping out of the ceiling in the bathroom, (or the light fixture?) the entire time I stayed there, dripping on my head whenever I was in the bathroom. And it was loud. The light fixture cover was missing, which made me worried about electrical fire with the steady water coming out up there, presumably from the bathroom above (yuck). The cold water shower turn on valve leaked so badly that you couldn't have it on, or it would take all the water from the shower head. It would then not turn off so ran all night loudly. I only showered once because of it even though I stayed for 3 days. I went to a gym to shower. The faucet on the sink also leaked, making it impossible to use the countertop for my things.

Perfectly adequate for what it is. Probably the best deal if you are looking to stay in Manhattan for a trip to NYC. The room is about 9ftx7ft with a ~ 3ftx3ft bathroom with a standing shower, a heater and an air conditioner, a full size bed and a small TV mounted on the wall in a high corner (plays a handful of channels - the ones you can get for free with a standard antenna). Also a dresser with a few hangers and a chair. Very clean and staff are attentive and efficient. Free wifi. It's an older building with a nice look/fun architecture, quiet and we even felt it was "nice" despite having the bare minimum on amenities. But if you are visiting NYC, you hopefully are there to be out and about in the city doing all the fun stuff on offer, so the bear necessities are all you should need.

Emplacement idéal, le quartier est animé, tout Manhattan est accessible facilement à pied. Chambre propre et bien isolée. Personnel sympathique très bon accueil. Seuls inconvénients il n'y a pas d'ascenseur et le règlement se fait en cash uniquement (il y a des distributeurs dans la rue au pied de l'hôtel).

The St Marks hotel is absolutely nothing fancy but it is a safe, extremely well located place to stay. Travelling alone I felt extremely safe in the hotel and was happy to come back to my room each night. No amenities: no fridge in room, no hair dryer, etc. It is bare minimum but it is a safe bed in a convenient location. If all you need is a place to sleep at night and don’t need anything beyond that, I highly recommend this place. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, exceptional staff, comfy beds. Heating panel in the winter. Noisy evenings outside, but nothing earplugs wouldn't solve. A bit shabby though. There's a staircase even to the front desk - not good for big heavy suitcases (do you even need all that stuff anyway? :-)

It is what it is. Perfect for people who don't expect a 5-star hotel at 3-star prices. Location is great, staff was nice, it was clean. Bring earplugs.
