Paper-thin walls and adjoining doors allowed us to enjoy the conversations of the adjoining rooms all night…well, until the whine from some distant heating system kicked in, and then the air conditioner came on to fight with it.
The hotel could clearly use some love - the door on the bathroom didn’t close completely, the faucet head nearly came off when we turned it on, and every bedsheet had some kind of vague stain on it.
I don’t expect perfection in an airport-adjacent hotel, but given its location, next to a noisy turnpike entrance in a neighborhood that clearly has seen better days, Holiday Inn could invest in making this place a bit less disappointing on the inside. There are far better Newark airport options, especially with the not-that-much-better rate.
