I meant to review this months ago, but time got away from me. The Tin Brook was absolutely perfect for our Mother's Day trip to the Catskills--and we weren't even supposed to be there, because it was actually closed. We had our pick of rooms and chose the top of the house, which was more than enough space for the three of us. It's very easy to find, the breakfast was excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting this little hamlet (Angry Orchard is nearby, too). Thanks very much to our hosts for a great memory!

Loved how personable everyone was who worked here. Our room was very clean and well kept. We hadn’t great breakfast each morning we stay - Donna made anything we wanted! Highly recommend

Place is just scraping by. Breakfast cook was away for 3 of the 2 morns we stayed. Our room rate was decreased slightly since we had to drive to town for breakfast. The small amount given didn't cover 2 breakfast days.

One Fall night stay before flight
It's a appealing and comfortable b & b type property with a terrific gift shop! Nice people...David and Donna. Very convenient to Stewart Airport in New Windsor/Newburgh, NY for traveling upstate, or East into Conn. or NE into Mass.....all within easy reach. Bed good, hot water good, tv good, clean, and nice homey decor. Would definitely stay there again.

Review for tin brook bed and breakfast
I had an amazing stay at Tin Brook bed and breakfast. Dave and Donna were superb. We were well taken care off and if I have a chance to book at that place, I'd definitely book my stay there.

Only people who never been to the real B&B could leave good reviews. In other B&Bs the owner leaves on property and makes you feel welcome. Here the owner doesn't live in B&B and always absent. We felt ignored, not welcomed. The website advertised coffee and tea maker in the room, iron and ironing board, hair dryer. It was only coffee maker, iron, but no ironing board, no hair dryer. The room was poorly lit, no phone, alarm clock or even a box of face tissue. The bed has no blankets, only thin quilt. The breakfast was below average, more like in motel, nothing to compare to other B&Bs. Very disappointing.

A comfy and enjoyable stay
Tin Brook is a gem! Cute and comfy rooms, helpful hosts, and a home cooked breakfast! The room had a kitchenette and a kuerig coffee machine. They also run a craft shop with some interesting items. You eat your breakfast right in the shop! Only 15 miles from Storm King Art Center. Rooms are really good value compared to other b&bs in the area.

Enjoyable night at Tin Brook B&B
Tin Brook B&B is in an old farm house. We stayed in the Pumpkin Patch room. The room was updated with a huge big screen TV and updated bathroom. Very comfortable. We found good dining close by in downtown Walden. Breakfast was next door in the little store on the property. It was very good. The owners were very friendly. Would stay again if we pass through that way again.

comfortable and clean- good value in my book- will use again- staff friendly and helpful- TV larger then expected- bath had whirlpool feature- Entry sign at the road small and missed it first time past and no obvious sign telling you to check in at the gift shop

Tin Brook B&B is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is friendly, helpful, and fun to talk with, the room was very clean and the area is quiet. They serve a wonderful, warm breakfast in the morning too! We will definitely stay at the Tin Brook B&B the next time we visit NY and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a clean, quiet place to stay outside the NY city area.

We went hiking during Labor Day weekend in Minnewaska State Park, and luckily the Orange Grove suite (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom) was still available even though we only needed a 1 night stay. The room was comfortable and clean, and the rooms were nicely furnished. The bed was a bit uncomfortable for me (very squeaky, not great back support), so I couldn't sleep that well. We also had to kill 2 large bugs crawling on the ceiling while we tried to sleep, but that's to be expected when you're near the woods. Some of the ceiling lights didn't work, and there was a very old banana left in our fridge. Small inconveniences, not a big deal. The breakfast was nice -- the staff will ask you if you'd like waffles, pancakes, or french toast. You can then help yourself to some fruit or packaged pastries. There were a bunch of flies around the bananas (which were a little too blackened), which is just something I noticed. Everything else was wonderful and I appreciate the hard work spent on maintaining and cleaning the rooms for the guests. The price point is competitive for the area. Thank you!

Great place and wish I had found it earlier.
The stay was great. The room was spacious and clean. They also provided a Keurig for our personal use. Along with a full refrigerator and microwave, we were all set. It is a bit out of the way but fairly central to the area. You will need a car. Breakfast was great with as much as we wanted.

Great b&b!
Located close to angry orchards (purpose of our trip). Owner of the property is really friendly and accommodating. Beds were comfortable, TVs were nice and our suite had a convinient kitchenette. Breakfast the next morning was great, they can whip up almost anything you could want. All for a great rate as well.

Great Stay
Used this as home base about three hours from Cooperstown and the baseball Hall of Fame induction. The very friendly staff allowed us to come and go at late hours. The sleeping was quiet and the rooms comfy. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating.

Weekend stay for a family wedding
This was our 1st stay at a B & B. We usually do the brand name hotels. For a B & B, in a 6-7 unit it was like staying in your bedroom. We did miss the elevator to the 2nd floor rooms. We are from a quiet retirement community, and we were not use to the outside traffic noise, but the other guests did not seem to mind it. The host David, was very accommodating, and professional. The house is right next to a darling "crafts gift shop" that was well designed and items at reasonable prices. The location was convenient to that general area. The only thing missing was an alarm clock. Keep in mind some rooms have bath/showers other just showers. Try it, you will enjoy it.

Bed was super comfy. I should have brought my own pillow. They offer a car service with a super reasonable rate that I highly recommend! Staff was amazing, sweet, and super accommodating. Will definitely stay again if in Walden!

Well worth the money
There is not much to say other than that the room and B&B experience was as promised. My only complaint is that there was a lot of noise from the road coming in through the buildings original windows which has large gaps in them. Other than that the room was clean and aesthetically pleasing. The bed was nice but so soft it made my joints ache so if you like a soft mattress you will not be disappointed. The staff was extremely helpful and this experience started when we arrived early before check in time so the staff cleaned our room immediately and we were able to settle in with little of the expected wait Since the B&B was not booked out during the week I was immediately offered a free upgrade. Also since the person who prepares breakfast was off for a couple days the B&B offered to reimburse us if we went out for breakfast which could have cost them a lot of money so the gesture was appreciated. All communication with the staff was immediately responded to. The area the B&B is located is rural yet within driving distance of a city and oher things to do. In summary, the accommodations and service were excellent considering what I paid and I could not expect more. I highly recommend this B&B.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We arrived in the early afternoon and checked in and we checked out the near by winery the Brotherhood. We had the pumpkin room it was very comfortable. Much nicer and homey feeling here then getting a room in a hotel chain. I would stay here again in this area if I get the chance to return.

Way way overpriced. They charged me about $145/ per night. Another person with long term stay was $79 per night. In my opinion fair mark t value is about $79, and what I was charged was way way overpriced. Be aware price is likely negotiable. I,would never again stay for this price, which I feel was a rip off.

Fun place to stay
Very comfortable room. The TV was difficult to figure out, but I eventually found what we were looking for. Check-in and breakfast were in the gift shop next door. They were decorated for Christmas like I have never seen before. Breakfast was good, and the gift shop was a fun place to have it. Unfortunately, they had hundreds of fun Christmas items, and my wife managed to find over $200 worth of things she could not live without. Luckily, they had a 20% discount for guests of the B&B. We would definitely stay again

Quiet location
The location is quiet, but some crazy cars passed by in night. The owners are very nice and check-in/out is very easy. The fresh made breakfast is a big bonus.
