Very pleasant & helpful staff. Good food & convenient location for our requirements. The rooms are in need of a refurbishment, despite which they are warm & comfortable. No doubt we will be back for another stay.

Very nice, highly recommended.
We stayed for two nights in this very nice hotel. We had a room on the ground floor where we were able to get the car parked right outside of the room , so didn't have to go far with luggage etc. The staff were really good and helpful. We had breakfast twice and an evening meal during our stay, the food and service were first class. We were visiting the Beamish Museum during our stay so it was very handy for that being only about five minutes drive away. We will certainly use this hotel again.

Warm & comfortable room - good food & beer, with friendly service. Easy parking outside the door of this “motel” style building.

I don’t give praise easily but this hotel was amazing. The ground floor rooms had patio doors so was able to park car right outside. The rooms were very generous in size. The bed was huge. Bed linen was lovely. Blackout curtains. Nice bathroom with bath and endless hot water. We had an evening meal and the food was exceptional!! Breakfast the next day was fantastic. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. I will definitely stay again. 10 min drive from Beamish museum. Fantastic!!

Superb hotel
Lovely hotel in a great location for our visit to Beamish Museum. Menu and food was excellent and very competitive prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking right outside the patio doors of the room was great. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will return. Definitely recommend.

We stayed Saturday night and unfortunately they were running an event. There was noise until 3am. The property is quite dated but the restaurant food was good and the staff were friendly. In the end, though, a hotel is no good if you can't get a good night's sleep.

What a gem, nice quiet rural location but close enough to Newcastle / Gateshead. The room was spotless. No complaints whatsoever. Won’t hesitate going back

Fantastic!
Beamish Park Hotel is fantastic! - Communication (I had a couple of questions prior to booking too) was fast and informative. - The check in process when we arrived was quick and simple - The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed for the stay (the huge bed was a big bonus) - Every member of staff we had contact with during our stay were so friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble - The stand out thing for us (we were a party of 2 couples) was the food. I can safely say that it’s a long time since we have had such good food at every meal. There wasn’t one dish that was just ok, they were all outstanding. We will certainly be making the 3 hour journey to the Beamish Park Hotel again as we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food that much. Thank-you Beamish Park Hotel team :)

Abysmal standard of bed linen cleanliness.
The room it's self was fine BUT when we turned back the covers at 10:30 pm there was the most disgusting STAIN on the bottom sheet!!! It resembled dried blood but without proper analysis we may never know!! We then had to find a night manager (11pm) and have not only the sheet but also the mattress protector as well changed for clean bed linen. NOT a standard one would expect from any hotel let alone one which is part of the Hotels. com group. Upon reporting this disgusting episode to the receptionist in the morning the reaction was disbelief and shock. She offered her apologises and deducted £25 from the bill. The house keeping in this instance was deplorable and must be remedied to a much higher standard . Needless to say we will not be using Beamish Park Hotel in any future visits and will be very wary of Hotels. com. Photographs were left with the hotel but would be too gross to include with this review!!

Easy parking -though weather awful. Staff very helpful and easy to talk to - gave good directions AND a hotel discount to the Museum (of which we were unaware..) The food was very good (I can only think the one negative review was from a rival!) Following morning, in sunshine, the views were as promised, Well done all, hope to see you again soon.

We stayed here for two nights. Lovely comfortable large beds. Shower over the bath was a bit of an issue for me but I didn’t specify a cubicle. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. A couple of little hiccups with our order but no great issue. There was a young lady called Emmylou and she was fabulous with my husband and I offering advice on where to go. A credit to the hotel

Great pet friendly hotel & great food also it was lovely that they thought about our pet dog Tilly, with a little bed & treats. The fact it was a bonus we could get our car right outside our room. The staff was excellent at breakfast very friendly. All in all our room was fine & the bed was extremely large. :)

Weekend Get together
Perfect for 3 couples on a weekend get together. Decent size rooms with parking outside room and patio window. Lovely staff always pleasant. Good breakfast and had meal in restaurant one night was very good. Great location for Beamish and Tanfield Steam railway (Sunday and Bank Holidays only) NB Early close for dinner on Sundays 6pm

We were visiting Beamish and stayed here before meeting up with the kids. It was excellent, service was outstanding. Friendly and very good food, certainly would stay again when down that way. Good value for money too.
