Lovely stay would stay again i do think the bar should stock nibbles crisps etc as some people dont want Uber eats delivery also bar person on the afternoon was a kitchen worker not ideal serving with your apron on and guessing which glass to use but he was very pleasant the housekeeping girl was also very nice

Ideally located for a gig at The Globe. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable but there were no electric plugs by our bedside for charging phones at night (they were located across the room) and the shower/tub need updating. Overall, a good place to stay for an overnight visit.

My first stay at this hotel. The front of house staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive from me checking in to checking out! I think Johnny was the gentleman at receptions name when I was checking out so friendly and asking how my stay was he genuinely was interested in how I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. 5 star service!

This Hotel is in a central location for travelling. Hotel is more like a conference hotel.. Food and Breakfast fabulous. the outside I didn't like as people were smoking directly outside door and the bins were full of junk food bags. Train Station and Metro only short walk. The Bus Station is about 10 min walk, we got the bus to Angel of the North cost 2pound there and back. Can anyone explain why there are no tea/coffee mobile vans there or souveniers. There is literally nothing. Just a thought.

Location was really good, short walk to city centre. Really friendly check in staff also. We had some issues with cleanliness of the room, there were short hairs all over the bed sheets which was quite disgusting, as well as stains on the carpets. There was also stains on the chair and all up the curtains - looked like food of some sort. Toilet in the bathroom also had brown stains in the bowl. Just could do with a proper deep clean.

The hotel is nice. All areas from the lobby and the bar to the bedrooms with ensuite are very clean and spacious. 3 lifts (elevators) and all work, with a good space for 8 people to stand in without issue. The parking is over the road, not on the hotel grounds. For long term parking it is £14 for 10-24 hours or £30 for 5 days. The hotel has a ticket that will give a discount off the parking, whether it works for the longer stays, I don't know, but it knocked £3 off our ticket price from £14 down to £11. I have lactose intolerance and the bar was able to provide soy milk for a cup of tea/coffee. The bed is comfy, firm but nice and the pillows are plump. It is a short walk to town, and a short walk to the stations. We didn't have food on site as we wanted a breakfast boa bun (5 mins walk) and dimsum (less than 10 min walk to Chinatown). No issues, all the staff are friendly and very helpful. We would stay again.

This hotel is only a 7 or 8 minute walk from the train station and a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of the city with its accompanying shops,bars, restaurants etc and the quayside but is still in a relatively quiet location.
