great hotel. it was close to everything, shopping outlets only 2 mins away, Niagara on the Lake only 17 mins away and only 15 mins from the Falls. great staff, great breakfast included with the price of room . beautiful room .
What I loved about this hotel: - super close to the main attractions - safe area -- as told by our wine tour guide - nice clean room (not newly renovated but overall really good for resting) What was disappointing about the hotel: - The toilet was not filling up quick enough and the phone was not working in the room. We had to wait 1-2hrs for the tank to fill up. We called front desk who told us they'll send someone but no one never came. We had to make sure we use the bathroom outside of the room before coming back to hotel or hold it until we're out of it. - check in was a bit disappointing. We were going to be picked up for our tour at 1 and check in was at 2pm but we were told we can't check in early (we were there at 11am) which was fair - no prob. So I asked if it was okay to have a late check in as we were going to our wine tour and won't be back until late afternoon. We encountered the same response to come back at 2pm. Again, I explained that we were going to a tour with pick up at 1pm so we can't come back at 2pm. Is it okay to check in now but not have access to the room (as we were early) or hold the room for late check in. We just didn't want to lose our pre-paid room because of a late check-in. I usually encounter more flexible hotels where they're okay with either early or late check-in (specially if they're already paid for) but we had to insist and make a fuss about it.
