Check in was complete chaos. They gave us no relevant information, important directions we conveyed verbally, contradicting the written info in the room. We were given 3 hours to check in, and when I told them we couldn’t make it (by 30 minutes). None of the addresses in my check-in info were relevant. I would never recommend this. They need to get their house in order.

If you like a gamble stay here
I so wish I’d listened to the previous poor reviews. They describe our exact experience. The location was not where we booked. The arrival process was poor. The map location on hotels we site was blocks away from the booking reference. They have multiple properties and had this property been advertised properly it would have found a much cheaper price point, one that people would be more accepting of. The photo on the booking had a wonderful balcony. Rather our building was covered by construction shade cloth and was not the one in our booking. The air con was in the living area so we had to keep all the doors closed in the kitchen and other rooms to funnel air into the bedrooms. The soap in the bathrooms comprised sachets similar to those you would get ketchup in. I am a very regular traveller with my family and do not stay five star ever, but I do expect to get what I pay for.

Lovely appartment in a great location.
Within walking distance to downtown Nice, Old Nice and the seafront. Also near the tram and within walking distance of Gare de Nice Ville. Plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and bars very nearby. Was in very good condition, very clean and contained everything I needed for a week long stay. Also the letting agency were very helpful and friendly and on hand to give help and information.

Great location but old beds and apartments
The apartment was old and had a weird smell to it once u walked in from the outside. The location was amazing staying in old town though. The bathroom was good but the beds were very old and falling apart .

Overall, a great stay
Check in to the apartment was super smooth, staff was really helpful about local places to eat and things to do. The apartment was right on the beach and waking up to the crystal blue bay was incredible. With the deposit, I was told the deposit was release at the same time as check out, and this seems to have been the case. I bank with Monzo who have unparalleled service, and could refund the held deposit to me immediately when I got confirmation from Apart Hotel Riviera, but I think this caused confusion with the hotel about what I was requesting. I did however finally get the confirmation and everything was sorted. I’d definitely stay again.

The booking made was not where or what I realised it was going to be - it's through a company that has a few apartments they sub-lease. Made it very confusing to find and address took me to the wrong hotel. Not a great start. Apartment itself was ok, neat and compact and some-what clean.

Owners and holiday makers badly let down
Espace Victor Hugo had a number of defects: the heavy wooden bed head not fixed,fell over and could have injured us if we'd been in bed! Wall behind was filthy with large patches of damp. Kitchen tap was so wobbly had to hold it to use it. Electric wirings exposed tugged out of the wall. Lavatory/shower situated in glass box only partly frosted in the middle of the flat. Flat stank of smoke in spite of non-smoking policy. We photographed defects and contacted agent. He quickly moved us into Victor Hugo Balcon 2 - better, but still not entirely right. The WIFI couldn't be used because sticker showing password torn and couldn't be read, so ended up standing outside the first flat and using that password.We agreed to this but not very convenient. Couldn't make heating work because it was set to air-conditioning and we hadn't been shown how to alter that. There were no blankets, and the flat was so cold (23-29 Feb) We ended up sitting around the cooker. The bullying tone of contract - "you must fold your bedding and clean the floors otherwise you will be charged" made us worried about getting deposit back.Clearly the same attention had not been given to the flats under their management. To be fair the agent was very polite and did his best in bad circumstances. One of the problems with this booking is that the agent was only available 13-18h which isn't convenient when you want to enjoy your holiday!
Dear Madam. We were, in spite of your comments delighted to welcome you. We would like to respond to your comments. Indeed, there was a problem with the first apartment. WE have immediately altered and repaired, and we're really sorry. We have proposed to introduce a new apartment, Superior. When you arrived, with our collaborator, he put the heating in operation. And everything worked perfectly. You probably mistakenly pressed the wrong button, to change the operation because the heating works very well. For internet, the code is also displayed behind the door of the apartment, as stated on the documents provided on arrival. We would have liked, believe us, you appreciate our efforts to make you forget the problems (since repaired recess) of the first apartment. You forget to say, we then gave you a superior apartment with balcony overlooking the square. But it does not matter. See you soon.

THIS IS NOT A HOTEL is an apartment rental in differents locations of Nice. We got an studio with pull out sofa. The major problem was that in the offer did not showed cleaning fees $58. We arrived from the airport to the location showed in the map, but there was not any hotel. Our taxi driver called the number showed in the reservation and is was told to drive us to the apartment office building. Total taxi bill, back and for, was 55 euros. We wait 1/2 an hour until an apartment was assigned and we walk with one employee several blocks with the luggages until we reach the assigned apartment. We paid the whole bill in the office, but at the apartment we were notified of the choice to paid US 58 or clean our-selves. We told them we are going to clean our selves because it was a very small studio. We took a very good care to clean floors, windows, counters, bathtubs, etc. etc, but latter on we were charged with $58 anyway. We called the number and they told us to send an E-Mail, never answer. Thank to Expedia who took the matter with the pseudo hotel.

Not a hotel. Nowhere near where the map points to.
I chose my accommodation per location shown on the map on hotels.com site. That was the mistake. Also, this is not a hotel, even tho the title says hotel. It's the "apart" part of the name, which needs to be understood. No, it does not mean apart from something, but refers to apartments. Spread apparently all over the town. Realizing, after calling to "hotel", that I'm nowhere near where I was supposed to be, I requested for cancelling my booking, but both hotels.com and the "hotel" refused. As well, my request to be accommodated close to where the map points to, was refused. Instead, I got an apartment distant from everything, there was no any cafeterias nearby, the closest shop was some half a mile off. If you anyhow consider this option, please note there is nobody there to give you the keys: you have to call to the "hotel" and wait for them to come to you. Prepare for not getting an answer. Also, check-in time shown on the hotels.com site (10am) is not correct: you cannot get the keys until afternoon. I feel cheated.

For your problem on arrival , we sent you, your email, a confirmation message stating the exact address of the apartment , we go directly to the apartment, and not at our offices. Nice enough, but there's better available
OK, the apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. The air conditioning worked immaculately which was very important. The instructions on finding it were not clear (our taxi driver had to phone them as the address they give is the generic address, not for the actual apartment). We then had to wait 20 minutes for someone to turn up to let us in, and then they charge a 40 euro cash penalty from r it being past 6pm (it was only 6.30pm) which felt like a rip off. The apartment is located 20 minutes from the old town where all the bars and restaurants are.

Avoid this hotel and operator
We booked thinking it was going to be as indicated on the map, as one would reasonably expect. How wrong were we. Our holiday was soured by this apartment operator. Upon arrival to Nice, we went to the location indicated on the map, but we could not find any sign of the place. After asking many people, no one knew of this hotel. After an hour searching for the place and all the while carrying our luggage in that hot day, we gave up and went to the tourist centre. They phoned the operator (my phone battery had died on the way) and we were instructed to go to another location 20 minutes away from the original location. We found this to be really annoying, but had no choice as we were fed up and tired. Upon arrival to the place, a guy met us at the building and said this is the building we've assigned. It was a completely different building and the location was not nice! We paid a premium for a hotel near the beach, but got a place completely different. This is just unacceptable. The guy tried throwing blame on us by saying that the hotel page mentions "various addresses" and that we should have known we'll get a random hotel. Suffice to say, the agency was of no help and forced us to take the apartment as they will not give us a refund. We explained to them that what they did was unacceptable, but it felt like talking to a wall. Avoid booking with this hotel as you'll just get a random apartment
What answer after this cmmentaire , very unfair. The problem is, you have not read the presentation of our company. We specify that the apartments are not at our agency , but around it. You talk about 20 minutes. This is wrong. Talk about old building, it's true, the center of Nice 's historic. It is good to tell the truth. We had sent the confirmation by email with all the details, and also the address of your apartment , exactly. You have probably not read . That error, and we apologize . See you soon

The apartment was very clean except the terrace behind bedrooms. There were terrible dead flowers, trash and scrap on the floor. Its was pity that we could not use it at all. In one bedroom there was a closet for clothes, but it was locked and no key.

Sentralt beliggende sted. Vi trivdes. Men det var smådyr (småfluer og krypende innsekter) som holdt oss med selskap, spesielt på kjøkken. Lekkasje på bad. Dette ble rapportert og besiktiget mens vi var der.

Séjour réussi malgré les imperfections
Très bon séjour dans un logement bien situé et bien entretenu. Cuisine spacieuse et bien équipée, le hall d’entrée ainsi que le living/dining sont également suffisamment spacieux. Cependant les espaces de rangements dans les chambres sont très limites avec, en plus, des tiroirs cassés et étagères pas fixées. La porte d’entrée de l’immeuble claque à longueur de journées et de soirées, il faudrait un amortisseur/ralentisseur.

need to work on the cleanliness
The cleanliness was bad. The first thing I had to do when checked in was to clean/vacuum the flat. There was a guideline for the garbage disposal and etc. but it should be on a place more visible to guests, I had to rummage the entire living room to find the guidebook.

Bel appartement dans centre ville bruyant.
Bel appartement situé au troisième étage sans ascenseur et donnant sur un boulevard très bruyant. Cependant belles prestations. Mis à part les siphons très sales et bouchés.

Studio bien aménagé à 10 mm de la mer
Studio agréable au 4ème étage. Cuisine bien équipée et box TV disponible. Un peu compliqué d'aller chercher les clés à un endroit puis de faire l'enregistrement à un autre puis aller à l'appartement sur encore un autre site. Rue passante puis avec peu de bruit. A 10 minutes à pied du Negresco.

réponse tel, accueil, informations au dessus de la moyenne emplacement très bien au cœur du centre historique mais très proche d'un parking et des transports en commun studio confortable et bien équipé mais immeuble ancien en plein travaux de rénovation mais pas particulièrement bruyant

Merci Ioulia pour votre commentaire. Le "titre" de l'annoce précise : les appartements se situent à différentes adresses Promenade des Anglais/Grimaldi. Votre appartement était au 36 rue Herold soit exactement 6 minutes à pied de la rue Grimaldi. Cette adresse vous a été communiqué avant votre arrivée au moment de la réservation. Si vous souhaitiez être plus proche de la promenade des Anglais, nous en informer aurait été une bonne solution, nous aurions changé votre logement. Vous n'avez communiqué aucune volonté particulière au moment de la réception de votre adresse ni au moment du checkin dans l'appartement.Cordialement

결론부터 말씀드리면 그냥 몇만원 더 내고 근처 괜찮은 호텔 잡으세요 체크인과정 매우 복잡하고 딱 1시~6시 사이에 도착해야하며 그 외에는 엄청나게 비싼 추가요금을 내야 체크인이 됩니다. 이 모든건 환불 불가 조건으로 돈을 내셔야 알려줍니다. 저같은경우에는 당일 6시 이후 10시 이전에 도착했는데 전화도 안받고 이메일도 안받아서 체크인 못했습니다. 다음날에 겨우 체크인했는데 집키를 잘못줘서 나왔다가 들어가지도못하고 키 바꿔달랬더니 화내면서 자긴 똑바로 줬다고 하더이다. 결국 사무실까지 찾아가서 키 다른거 확인하고 바꿔왔습니다. 물론 그 과정에서 사과 한마디 못들었습니다. To be short, I would rather choose other better hotels near here. You have to arrive between 1 pm ~6pm otherwise, you have to pay 40~60 euro for just check in. And this will be informed only after you finished paying. I arrived before 10 pm but host didn't reply. She keeps saying that I arrived after 10 but she knows that's not true because I called her before 10. Next day, I checked in but she gave me wrong key. I had to walk to her office to get the right one. She didn't say 'SORRY'. She said She gave me right key and I'm the strange one. I'm not a fool who don't know how to use 'key'. THE Key that she gave me at the first time, doesn't even have any electric key that can open main door. I have pictures so don't lie anymore.

Divido il mio commento in 3 parti. 1. positiva (la tipologia di appartamento, larga dove ubicato, le pulizie, la presenza dell'ascensore, un buon wi fi)2.SEMI NEGATIVA nessuno ci aveva segnalato la presenza di lavori di ristrutturazione al punto di avere l'impalcatura davanti al balcone che non si poteva aprire (quello della cucina)3. parte PIU' CHE NEGATIVA poiché al secondo giorno tornando dalla spiaggia e iniziando il pranzo sentiamo suonare al campanello, chiediamo chi è parlando in italiano e inglese e ci risponde una persona con delle grucce in mano che ci dice qualcosa ... non capiamo, diciamo no grazie e questo mette delle chiavi nella toppa e prova a entrare. Mia moglie urla e lui va via velocemente per le scale. Chiamiamo l'agenzia per chiedere se era un loro uomo e ci dicono SI.Ci arrabbiamo perché un minimo di avviso doveva esserci per correttezza e per privacy. Se fossimo arrivati mezz'ora dopo questo signore entrava in casa, con le nostre cose a disposizione e con il mio cagnolino che poteva scappare. Ma non contenti l'agenzia ci risponde "avete firmato un contratto e quindi facciamo quello che vogliamo" e ancora " tanto ritorneremo quando vogliamo noi" .Vista la totale arroganza, lo spavento che ci siamo presi, visto che ci hanno minacciati di tornare quando volevano abbiamo lasciato la casa 2 giorni prima. A mia mail ho anche ricevuto risposta di essere "patetico". Cerco e scriverò alle associazioni di categoria per la NON professionalità di questa signora!

Appartement très bien situé, bien équipé. Points faibles: le chauffage qui ne fonctionne que dans la chambre et le linge de lit trop petit( draps et couverture ) A changer contre une couette avec une belle housse! Bon rapport qualité prix tout de même

체크인까지만 번거롭고, 나머지는 최고
해변가보다는 니스(기차)역에 더 가까운 위치였습니다. 다만, 처음 알게되는 위치는 사무실 위치이며, 향후에 받는 메일로 숙소 위치를 알려주게 됩니다. 따라서 로밍 혹은 선불유심칩을 통해 반드시 통화가 선행되어야 체크인이 가능합니다. 이 부분이 불편할 수 있지만, 이것을 제외하면 상당히 가성비좋은 숙소입니다.
