Mitten im historischen Bergdorf Haut de Cagnes gelegen ist das kleine Hotel stilsicher und hochwertig eingerichtet. Äußerst liebenswertes Personal ist wirklich aufrichtig bemüht, dem Gast eine besondere Erfahrung zu bieten. Wir hatten die günstigste Zimmerkategorie gebucht, das Zimmer war offenbar nach der Winterpause zum ersten Mal wieder belegt, es roch etwas muffig, das Ziimmer war dem Preis entsprechend nicht besonders schön mit niedrigen Decken und recht dunkel. Wir baten um eine Alternative und wurden sehr freundlich in eine Junior Suite umquartiert. Dafür nochmals danke! Das Restaurant ist hervorragend gelegen und eingerichtet, das Essen entspricht der Beschreibung im Guide Michelin, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist im Vergleich zu Hamburger Preisen sensationell. Die Anreise mit dem Auto ist etwas diffizil, es gibt keinen Parkplatz am Hotel, man muss auf einem der umliegenden Parkplätze parken, teilweise gebührenpflichtig, an einigen Tagen komplett belegt. Es existiert ein Shuttle-Service zum und vom Hotel, der auf telefonische Anfrage in fünf Minuten zum jeweiligen Parkplatz kommt. Der Fußweg zu den Parkplätzen ist mit teils beachtlichen Anstiegen verbunden und nichts für Personen mit körperlichen Einschränkungen. Als Alternative zum hauseigenen Restaurant bietet auch das benachbarte Restaurant ‚Fleur du Sel’ eine gute Küche mit ebenfalls sehr gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Im Ganzen haben wir einen erinnerungswürdigen Kurzurlaub genossen.

歴史地区にあり、中世にタイムスリップしたかのような景観が楽しめる。ホテルまで車で行きつけず、下にある公共地下駐車場に車を入れ、ホテルのスタッフを電話で呼び出すシステムだが、説明がなく、わかりにくかった。ホテルから電話があり判明した。到着は21時を過ぎていたが、レストランは遅くまで開いており、とても凝った料理を食べることができた。ルノアール美術館には歩いて20分、マティス美術館、ロゼール礼拝堂、シャガール美術館、マーグ財団美術館にも近く便利である。

Just wonderful. Tucked away, quaint, and magical. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday dedicated to artisans, whose shops were all open. We bought so many stunning pieces. The hotel was just perfect. Service was amazing. Views incredible. Beds were so comfortable and spaces were well equipped. Would happily return!

Not for the young family or older adults
This is a walled city... The address for cab drop off took us to construction blocking the way... The walk in with suitcases on cobblestone straight downhill was tough. They said they upgraded us, but we paid the top dollar, and the room was on the top, but not to much of the view. They called a cab to pick us up to go to airport, which cost 38e to get there was 70e to leave... It just felt like we were being taken advantage of... The town is cool, but it is hard to get around with strollers or any walking issues...

Amazing hotel, settled into a medieval village underneath a castle, stay with your loved ones in a 14th century knight’s club with wonderful food and service. Highly recommend.

Loved staying in this historic hotel. Its really an experience that I don't think Ive seen before. You are literally in a castle, in a town that's very old. The property is big and clean and the staff work really hard. I would encourage everyone to stay for the view and the church clocks that go off by the hour. It's extremely peaceful. Note: Be sure to figure out parking with the hotel and do NOT try to drive to the hotels front door. The roads are narrow and meant for horse and buggys.

While this is a 4-star property, the service at this place was 5-star Quite simply outstanding. Each and every person we interacted with was incredibly helpful, warm, knowledgable and authentic - Thibeau, Nicolas, Clement, Moses, and Sam (who should be a standup comic) who was our waiter for our exceptional dinner at their restaurant - and other people whose names I'm forgetting - made our visit an unforgettable experience. In the end no matter how beautiful a property is, it's the interactions with these outstanding humans that made our trip. They are all just genuine and none of it came across as part of their 'training." Thank you everyone!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Empfang sehr freundlich. Beim Einchecken erhielten wir viele Informationen über das Schloss und seine Geschichte. Zimmer sehr schön und groß. Was noch wichtig wäre zu erwähnen, was leider vom Hotel verabsäumt wurde. Es gibt KEINE Parkmöglichkeiten da das Hotel direkt in der Stadt liegt und es hier sehr viele kleine verwinkelte Gassen gibt. Parken kann man am Parkplatz unten im Dorf. Ein Anruf genügt und man wird vom Hotel Shuttle abgeholt und direkt bis vor die Türe gebracht.

Erityinen, sykähdyttävä ja kaunis ovat adjektiivieja jolla kuvailen tätä majoitusta. Kaunis sijainti pienen keskiaikaisen kylän reunalla, josta upeat maisemat rannikkoalueelle. Linnamainen rakennus, jossa päärakennus ja useampia sivurakennuksia. Huoneita kuulemma 32 joista 16 päärakennuksessa. Itse olimme sivurakennuksessa, jossa oli kaksi huoneta. Huoneet ovat tilavat ja hyvällä maulpla sisustetut. Sänky oli mahtava! Kylppäri oli iso ja toiminnallinen kahdella lavuaarilla. Henkilökunta oli erittäin avualias ja mukava. Autolla ei kannata edes yrittää lähelle. Me meinasimme jäädä jumiin ahtaille kaduille, kunnes tajusimme parkkeerata ja kävellä loppumatkan. Kylän alapuolella on hautausmaa, jonka vieressä on ilmainen parkki. Kävelyä ylös ei ole matkallisesti paljoa, mutta nousu on jyrkkä. Silti auto kannattaa jättää kyseiselle parkkipaikalle ja kävellä mielummin ylös. Hotellinhenkilökunta vei ja haki meidät autolla parkkipaikalle myöhemmin. Aamiainen oli paras koko meidän reissulla. Monipuolinen ja mitkä maisemat! Terassilta aukeaa esteetön näköala rannikolle. Kylä itsessään on kaunis ja kokemisenarvoinen. Hyviä ravintoloita kylän keskusaukiolla korkeimmalla kohdalla.

Another visit
Hotel and food quite nice. Quite frankly the parking is a mess especially for older folks needing a cane. Best for them to chose another property. Guest room was very clean but without a bath tub which my wife requires. We had visited the property some years ago when operated as a Relais et Chateau and enjoyed the now less stuffy current atmosphere of the staff and management.
