This is a beautiful Manor House set in lovely grounds. It is a 10 minute drive into Norwich. We were in a top floor room (no lifts) and it was very quiet in the hotel. There was a wedding but the music quietened around 11pm and didn’t disturb sleep. The evening menu was good, but quality not quite as expected, and more vegan desert options would be good. That and a safe place for bikes to be stored would have made it 5 star

After a five hour drive was looking to a few moments to relax before going for something to eat, but my room was next to a young family who were obviously at the irritable stage and mum was trying to entertain them with ‘row row row your boat’ after several verses I contacted Amy on reception to see if I could move rooms. No issues with the request, new room offered, and one with a lounge area too. Very welcome. Comfy area and super comfy bed

Pleasant hotel, helpful staff if a bit thin on the ground in reception at times. Nice restaurant but poor quality food for an establishment of this type. My wife and I ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and at the prices being charged the food should be significantly better. A meal out should be a treat, but when the food is not of a standard which could be prepared at home, that is a concern. Our room was spacious and comfortable, however on our second night, the hotel was a lot busier and party revellers were very noisy in the corridors and rooms both sides of our room, from around 2am to 4.30am.

Always very welcoming. Clean bedroom and bathroom. Very quiet. Nice bar area. Varied breakfast. Use of the golf club house for coffee once breakfast was finished.

Lovely overnight stay at an old Manor House. Leisure facilities were too notch. The room and all areas were spotless. Staff on reception and in the restaurant and bar areas were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay again

We chose to upgrade our room to a suite which was a great decision as the room was amazing! Spa treatment was also great although the treatment rooms are through the walkway for everyone to come through to the pool changing rooms so you can hear people talking outside. We had to ask for toilet roll and floors to be mopped inside the pool changing rooms but this was done when asked. The restaurant for dinner was fully booked so we had to leave the site to go for dinner which was a lovely meal in the end but not ideal to have to leave to go for dinner. When staying at a hotel you’d expect the restaurant to have enough space for hotel guests or to at least offer room service so this was a shame! Overall we had a nice stay but a few downfalls/ room for improvement that we felt needed to be mentioned.

Was very nice room, comfy and cozy. A shame about the spa bath being closed while we were there though. Also another thing was my partner got stuck in the lift and ended up having a panic attack, no matter how many times she pressed the call button no one came until I went down and got someone!!

Ok. Disapointed!! Pre arrival was great, made a speical request and they were great. Dinner including service was great..... The room was good, if not in need of a duster. The next mkring it went very very wrong! Breakfast, arrived as booked told table was ready then told oh, someone took it and had to wait another 15 mins and watch them forget about us while they seated others. Once we were finally in, there was no food,told there would be a wait for food. When food arrived there were no sausages but we were told we could leave our plates under the hot lights until they were ready (another 10mins), only whole fruit available and very little choice. Drank the apple juice and it had bits in it, got another and wodered why it did the same. Turns out the glasses were dirty. Add to that no cutlery, inattentive staff and i would say avoid breakfast. Hit the health club after, staff member eating at desk, full mouth while taking to us. Dirty chaging area........we stopped there and just left

We wanted to explore Norwich city and this was the perfect pad to commute to and from. Really warm, comfy and with great staff and facilities. Now we know how family friendly it is, we'll be back next time with the kids.

Lovely setting, comfortable beds and nice leisure facilities. However, we tried to order some food at 7.pm ( just a snack from the bar) In response we were informed the restaurant was full. We only asked for a sandwich or snack but there is nothing available unless you book in to the expensive restaurant for a meal. A sandwich or snack is not offered, only suggestion was to order a take away meal.

At check in, only one person was available. Long wait. On arrival, we were informed spa was closed, no dinner reservations available. Car park spaces were minimal. Our room, the Hinckley Suite, was not cleaned properly, and there were stains and water marks, all over the bathroom. The pool was crowded, with only a handful of loungers. This hotel cannot cope with a large number of guests.

My recent experience at Sprowston Manor Hotel in Norwich left much to be desired, as several issues marred what should have been a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, the hotel fell short of expectations in various aspects starting with check-in where they confirmed the booking had been shortened by one night but were unable to change the booking and thus had to charge me for the whole stay promising to refund the extra nights stay on check out. This is not worry me to start with as one assumed you could charge bar bills and extras to your account. HOW wrong I was every transaction was paid for no normal hotel account was possible. The cleanliness of the rooms was a major letdown, I must stress I am referring to the issue that the hotel staff are not allowed by HEAD OFFICE policy to enter your room during your stay. This means on a extended stay of several nights floors not cleaned or hoovered, sinks not cleaned, toilets not cleaned etc. The failure to maintain a clean and sanitary environment was not only disappointing but also unacceptable from a luxury hotel. Moreover, the hotel failed to adhere to its own policies of asking guests to leave full bins, cups and dirty towles outside the hotel room. They stated that they would be removed and replaced with fresh ones. This policy causes a unsightly atmosphere and left guests questioning the basic standards of cleanliness and service. Excellent area, beautiful hotel and lovely rooms, however appauling service. We went to the spa and i completely underatand that it was 24th Dec but the spa staff were least responsive and least intetested hence Appauling customer service. Our room was not serviced for the 4 days that we stayed.was not even entered and checked on. Upon asking the reception staff got the response " servicing of the rooms is only conducted upon request" so we placed service to be done to the room on 26th and that didnt happen not only on the 26th dec but any other days. Also upon asking for coffee as the room would not get topped up the receptionist gave us just 2 coffee, 2 milk and 2 sugar and again on asking for more , faces were made as if they are doing a favour. Everytime we needed coffee we had to go to the reception and ask as this was not provided. I completely understand that the receptionist and spa staff did not want to work due to it being christmas eve howevwr these are the personnel who should be at their best behaviour with respect to customer service however they were shambolic due to poor work ethic and felt sorry for themselves having to work over christmas. We left our dirty towels outside the room and that wasnt picked up for 2 days so we had to buy new towels. I feel really bad for the hotel owner as its such a beautiful hotel and the rooms are brilliant but inadequate customer service spoilt it.

Awful experience, very disappointed.
Worst night ever! Firstly booked a premium 4 poster room as pictured and received a inferior room, it was clean and tidy but a little musty smelling. Would of been ok if I enjoyed the sound of a circus generator or road works in my room. This horrendous sound woke me at 11pm and after complaining was again woke at 2am by the awful sound again, it was the faulty heating and bloody annoying, ruined my stay and my good nights sleep completely. Staff not too help full as no manager on site and no refund/compensation available as I had booked via Hotels.com?? Thankfully Hotels.com are going to credit my account as I use them weekly. Was inconveniently moved to a suite that at 2.30am was freezing cold. Eventually woke to find the coffee machine without any coffee pods! What is the point of having it there?? Only good thing about my stay was the breakfast, but for the cost it was seriously overpriced. I left Sprowston Manor wishing I had sleep in my vehicle. I wont be going back here and will not be taking my 32 strong golf society next year as planned. We will remain at Dunston Hall or Barnham Broom where we have been going for years and don't get this shambolic service I received on this pre visit. Well done done Sprowston Manor.
