Staff is super nice & welcoming! Room could’ve been cleaned better though, shower was dirty and there was a red stain on the bed sheets. Probably won’t stay here again.

My teenage daughter and I took a little trip and stayed here, it was perfect! The trendy boho vibe ughhhh so so cute! Plenty of “chill spots” right on site! The rooms have minimal furniture but that was just another one of the reasons I chose this place! I wasn’t looking for your standard cookie cutter room/hotel! I would absolutely stay at The Moxy again!

It was a great hotel. So modern and hip, but lots of families there too. It was a fun quick trip for our first time to VA beach. We would like visit again soon!

The vibe is cool, lots of potential. Loved the shuffle board and games. Rooms are cute and comfortable. The bath sink is small but knew that from looking at pictures. The people working there were prompt, friendly and accommodating. With pool being closed, not much seating outside to be honest. Areas unhappy with: -dog friendly I am ok with but this felt like a dog resort - sooooo many dogs. Dogs sitting on chairs at bar, furniture inside and even on the one couch outside. There are stains all over the carpets in lobby and in hallways that I assume are from the dogs. This is a newer hotel and if I were the hotel I would cap the number of dogs allowed per night to avoid damages, excessive barking and for those not bringing their dogs to not feel like they are at a dogs resort LOL - very loud. Every time a door closed above you or on your hall -you could hear it… all through the night. I couldn’t sleep. - there was a lot of pot being smoked in rooms and on patios. Our hallways smelled like weed. I woke up to weed and went to bed smelling it along with our kids :( - hallways are very dark and odd. -this end of beach (south of 30th) is much different than North End. If you are looking for a more family oriented area, spend more and stay near Embassy Suites/Cavalier. I like the vibe and intention but they definitely need to limit the dogs, replace the carpets and limit all the smoking in the hotel so that it’s more accommodating for families.

Was not able to sleep, doors to the rooms slam every time someone goes in and out. This was happening all day and night even by the maintenance and house keeping staff.

They say check in is at 4p but our room wasn't ready until almost 5p. The room has virtually no seating, unless you consider two tiny stools and a little foldout "camp" chair seating. The bathroom sink is next to the bed and had zero water pressure. On the plus side, the view of the beach from our corner room was spectacular and the platform bed was very comfortable. OTOH the pillows were pretty bad. The bar and lounge area in the lobby was above par and was filled with people hanging out with plenty of games. We didn't eat at the bar, but I think the food is prepared at night by the guy who runs Vangs food truck. Had I known that we would have ate there.

This was the most fun I’ve ever had at a hotel. We did a staycation and the whole experience was amazing. The staff was friendly, the bartenders were great, the valet was professional. We had 0 problems 10 outta 10. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is so fun...you che k in at the bar. You get a token for a free drink. You must use your key csrd to go up the elevator. They have a slide you can take down instead of elevotor or stairs from the second floor. They have tons of games to play. You can even peel off pages of the art in the rooms to take home.

The water pressure in my room was very weak due to a one time engineering fluke. I guess I’m just unlucky, but other than that the lack of a microwave or mini fridge in my King sized bedroom. The room was very clean and put together and the staff was very kind and resourceful. There was plenty to do in the lobby even though it was to cold out to go for a swim they had plenty of fun bar games and grate drinks to try. The overall stay was worth the money and the time!!!

Check your bank statement before checking out!!!!
The staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean. My only complaint is my card was charged for room service that was never received or requested. For that reason alone I probably would never stay here again. I came for a get away to relax not to worry about money being taken away from me. The staff couldn’t tell me what was ordered. They only told me the cost. Very fishy!!!!

They have a clean and great lobby ambiance. Staff are very welcoming and approachable! You will never feel bored in this Hotel! They have a nice bar area. For the room, the size have comfortable size and most important its clean. There is no fridge , oven or coffee maker inside the room which is not big deal as you can easily have an access all those stuff at there Lobby. I read so bad reviews and I got a doubt to book but I am happy i give it a shot! It's worth the money. I will definitely come back again.

I came here to Moxy to relax and get away for my birthday 12/26/23. The loved the decor as soon as i walked through the door. Very beachy, I did want a balcony and to be oceanfront but I didn't get that. I didn't complain about it, I was only spending the night. The bed was comfortable. The diner was open in the lobby, but only serving tacos and Korean food. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Chix on the beach for dinner a couple of blocks down.

Hopefully next time you stay with us, you will get a chance to see the Belvedere when it's not hosting a pop up for the night. I did not like that there was no refrigerator in the guest room. Luckily, it was cold enough outside to place meds on the balcony. I did not like that there was only one “ nightstand “. The room was clean. The staff was very nice.

Excellent
I booked this hotel after experiencing it in Manhattan, New York City. I can say this stay was way better than NYC. The hotel is super cool, young, friendly, the lights and furniture everywhere is very pleasant to the eye. The location was perfect because I had to take uber everywhere for 10 minutes ride. also the staff were very nice and welcoming. However, I might suggest adding a refrigerators and a coffee machine in the room. Also, during my four-night stay there was no room-cleaning whatsoever.

It was very lively and had a fantastic decor. I am an interior designer so I love it when I am pleased with interior spaces and not left wondering what someone was thinking. Great bar and much attention to detail

The property is conveniently located on the ocean front and is walkable to restaurants and bars. The hotel is modern and updated with fun activities and drink options.
